Adobe integrates with the Adobe platform and is easy to create content and upload it with the adobe suite of tools. It is a large company and recognized everywhere.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The interface is cumbersome, and the mobile experience is clunky. The system is like it was designed and used by accountants for finance people and then they want to use it for artists. You need a degree in excel for reporting and thir overseas technical support is difficult at best. It is more technical then user friendly.

  ### 24. Acobe Captivate Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle W. | Senior Program Manager , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

So far, I've only transferred PowerPoint presentations, and the last lesson I did for my website was similar to the PowerPoint presentations I had previously exported into Captivate. I like the fact that I can transfer my presentations. After transferring them, I've added a verbal recording on each of the slides, which I also enjoy. I REALLY like the fact that I can have Knowledge Questions mixed into the presentation to help solidify what I'm teaching. From looking through the user guide, I know there's more to Captivate than what I'm using, but I don't know how to use the other features. Which leads me to what I don't like (the next question).

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The tutorials that exist are lacking (to say the least). And there are only a few tutorials for all of the benefits that Captivate offers. It's very disappointing. The current 'best-practice' I've found is to watch the tutorial or read the user manual, and then do your best to figure out what needs to happen. When I purchased Captivate, I wanted to use it to make the presentations for my music site. My site provides lessons to people who want to learn about music, reading music, and playing the piano. So, I finished my first presentation by exporting the PowerPoint presentation I had created, and then I had no clue how to get it on my site. Although I realize this isn't what Adobe offers, but I had to do a bunch of research to figure out how to get Captivate into my Word Press site. Even though this isn't a part of Adobe Captivate, why can't you send your customers to where they can begin to learn what to do? And from there, they can put everything together. To have no 'hand-off' to the next step to put this on a website is pretty tacky.

Also, not all of the Quiz question choices work (or at least I can't get them to work). I have problems with the fill-in-the-blank questions and short answer questions. There are cumbersome aspects to the quiz page that I struggle with - resizing the entry areas, in particular, is very frustrating.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to create a nice tutorial for my site, and I really enjoy being able to use the Quiz function throughout my tutorials. I really like the matching quizzes, and they've worked very well. It's a great benefit that I can create the 'jump-back' page to where the student needs to go to for that particular learning activity when they incorrectly answer the question. That's a problem that has been solved by Captivate. I can even have the answers graded, which is also a great benefit.

  ### 25. A next level LMS experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

You can import Training data and courses from any legacy LMS. I really like how this LMS allows you to manage both internal and external learners. Social learning is another feature which allows learners to upload their own content.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

No proper on boarding material. Content from the course catalog requires a seperate subscription. Also, maximum video upload size is 900 MB.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

If you wish an LMS can support different types of output such as Videos, docs, SCORM and others, I recommend Prime LMS.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prime LMS helps in assinging skills to the courses so that learners can earned required skills after completing the courses. Skills can be marked as leadership skills, so learners can find out what it takes to get a promotion to the next level in the corporate hierarchy.

  ### 33. An Aging LMS System?

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The fully integrative model that Adobe uses (with the Adobe Captivate desktop publishing software, alongside the potential to integrate with Adobe Connect) creates a unique offering that isn't found with other platforms. There is a huge opportunity to bank on this model and to take advantage of a homogenous offering that makes it easier to manage content, and can be uniquely beneficial to content creators and trainers alike.

Critical wins:
- Truly mobile friendly, all platforms or systems seem to be well supported
- Achievement tracking and ranking works very well
- Setting up complex modularity is easy to do if you have a unique process of how you like to setup elearning for your organization

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

In the years I've used Adobe LMS the support feels as though it's become non-existent. Ironically, in this COVID-19 age, it seems like Adobe would be providing better backing and support for eLearning technologies and platforms, but support is difficult to reach and sales staff is only interested in working with accounts that are in the four digit user count range.

Critical to consider:
- System is not updated with new features
- Pricing model is outdated and atrocious; the minimum user spec counts seem enterprise-accessible only, yet there is poor enterprise support
- The system feels like it's aging and not being well funded or supported by Adobe. Documentation KB's and support pages have screenshots that are years old and no updates
- Adobe Connect (a unique add-on if you want to enhance elearning suite) seems to also be showing it's age and, again, pricing seems completely out of touch with current market

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

There are so many new players that should allow users to consider other platforms - particularly if pricing is a critical factor. I would still stand behind the exceptional capabilities of the Adobe Captivate authoring software, which is SCORM compliant and should work for many other systems. However, I strongly encourage a thorough review to determine if you have the resources necessary to work with the Prime LMS system. I have little confidence that eLearning will maintain the priority funding it needs from Adobe.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe LMS allows users to win in two ways - the combination of content creation using the Adobe Captivate software and the allowance of multi-tiered and complex elearning courses to be managed through Prime LMS are key wins. The support of on-the-go capabilities for media (such as iPads and mobile phones) makes it a huge win for our employees.

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

being able to easily assign users(learners) to training modules.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The report feature comes up short to meet our requirements. Being able to manage knowledge checks, quickly see what a learner missed and what they selected compared to the correct response is key to meet our reporting requirements and takes a lot of manual manipulation to get there.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing training across various regions around the globe

  ### 36. Simple and seamless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Very simple and easy interface to locate what you need. Clear and concise.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The fact that you have to switch the different profiles from learner, author, administrator. After using so many other LMS's it is a bit easier to have all roles in one view instead of separating them. And the upload of elearning content could be defined a bit better. I wasn't sure if it was uploaded completely and then I realized I had to do another step.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Captivate for our company due to certain compliance needs.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristobal A. | Ejecutivo Pyme, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The Captivate system is simple and easy to use and makes working with the LMS easier and more comfortable. Let's go. The ability to adapt all courses is great. Ensure that all user tasks are completed and the administrator can ensure that the team members' training is successful. You can confirm that they have been completed. Users can also participate in the training. With the help of the training analyst, the user can follow the information presented in the course. This will allow users to enroll in courses that are relevant to their role and improve their skills and development opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Excluding users, you can keep an accurate record of your team members and ensure that your organization is helping to reduce costs. It is very useful for managers to be able to evaluate their employees' skills using this system. I think that's good.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

Take advantage of all the opportunities you can.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplify the use of Captivate as a course developer and train employees. The use of Adobe LMS is very useful. If you offer training to your team members, which can be distributed on different devices, you will be able to cover different topics.

  ### 39. Amazing Adobe LMS

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

I enjoy the seamless integration with Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe Experience Manager. Customer service has been excellent as well.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Captive Prime doesn't have some of the high functioning tools that some of the richer learning management systems that we use have.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

No advice to give other than try it.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're all always in search of that unifying center for learning.

  ### 40. Mostly good

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William L. | Operations Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The platforms ability to organize and use various mediums of content. I do appreciate the overall design and features as far as it works for a Learner: as in course access, learning plans, automatic enrolment and search functions. I have previously used captivate prime to schedule in person seminars with pre-requisites and sign-ins which I thought was nice. We have also created multiple courses that were video training clips and captivate prime worked well as a tool for distributing and tracking that

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The ability to track progress of staff could be improved, it is not the easiest to monitor a high number of employees. I wish there was a clearer spreadsheet or chart that could help track all employees in one place. Even under the administrator access I found the4 traceability of progress tedious and not clean. Functions in addition to what I have already suggested above with a spreadsheet is to be able to search by various filters, such as, employee name, location, course, manager, learning plan, date/time. I do believe all the pieces exist to make this happen already. This just needs to be integrated into the Manager role and above capabilities to improve ease of use. As an admin you could download the metadata to excel, however, tracking in that way is not convenient since it is a snapshot and as soon as anything is completed you would have to pull another report and find a way to compare and manage around that issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

Get your content and learning organized first before investing energy in enrolling users. This will make a transition much smoother.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The accessibility it provides for training content and the ability to add new content.

  ### 41. Good Product, but needs more devlopment

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deborah S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The UI is clean and easy to navigate for end users, learners.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

As an admin I dislike that I cannot "impersonate" a user like with any other LMS I've experienced. Also on the integration admin end the process is bulky and cumbersome with poor error messaging.

There are a good amount of features that in theory would be very useful but don't seem to have been thoroughly developed in practice, such as Import Logs only showing the user csv import, not custom role import. There is no way to see a queue of reports running or if a report will be exceptionally large, to cancel it. Also that running one large report stops others from running, I feel that for such a large company that Adobe could devote more server space to run more that one request at a time when dealing with an account of 100,000+ users.

Another piece that needs more development is the ability to filter - on pretty much anything. Inside of courses or programs there is no way to filter by name, completion status, etc. Same feedback on any course that has submissions enabled. In theory it's great that you can have users submit, but not having a way to filter or sort those submissions leaves them out of alphabetical order and mixes approved and awaiting approvals. There can be (and are in some of our courses) thousands of users in that list which makes the management from the instructor side frustrating.

Reporting on the admin side could be better, also more options than just dashboard bar graphs, perhaps a traditional report writer format would be more useful. Also, there should be access to a dashboard like the manager dashboard for admins, and the ability to share reports to people other than managers from the dashboard. It LOOKS like you can, but then it doesn't work.

Also the email template audiences should be customizable. For example, the "learner clears waitlist" template sends to admin, manager, and learner. We do not want that. We only want it to go to the learner as it creates and incredible amount of unnecessary "noise" when being sent to 200+ managers for a class they know is mandatory for their employees. This has forced us to turn off the notification which means that the learner only sees the info if they log back into captivate prime. Not ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

Great for an organization who is using the LMS in a traditional sense. We are not, and have many subsections of users that need to be separate, which makes the product have to jump through hoops to work the way we need it to.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Much better versioning than our previous LMS, able to solve for instructor led trainings, and is shedding light on other processes that need to be shored up to provide correct data to Adobe

  ### 42. Another Great Adobe Product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Adobe Captivate allows non-technical people the ability to create visually appealing, easy to navigate, accessible, and instructional course content.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

That I waiting so long to try it. I spent far too much unnecessary time fretting over my courseware development.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

am now able to provide team members with extensible knowledge transfer in a concise, structured, traceable, and repeatable process.

  ### 43. Adobe Captivate Prime Learning Management System

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Product is easy to use, similar to PowerPoint.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Updates take forever on my computer but it could be just my machine.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

If you are unsure of how to do something in the LMS, there are a ton of videos online to watch.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to make projects, courses, etc.

  ### 44. Excellent learning calendar feature.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eliza D. | Course Coordinator/Tutor - Communication and Thought; Uni Skills for the You, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The thing I appreciate most about Adobe Captivate Prime is its ease of use and practicality. I have to admit that at first, it was a bit difficult, but when I started watching the instructional videos, everything started to fit together. As an intern, look at my training calendar, which I like a lot. It is easy to navigate and helps to plan the sessions you are training for.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

I don't like the way the software is shown and how it goes from user to administrator. As a student I think there might be more confinements on access. As a student, it was quite natural for me to get to the management that the group leader or operations manager was to be managed.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

I highly recommend Adobe Captivate Prime. There is extremely much you can do with this program, especially if it reaches to group education and a very easy to use interface. If you're looking for a wizard to help you both train and work, Adobe is the place to go.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm currently working on a client subscription to Adobe Captivate Prime LMS, but you need to understand and update your subscription and order status. With the advent of new Adobe software, we've had to face the many phrases that appear every day and look for solutions.

  ### 45. Brilliant tool, but has a learning curve.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles P. | Tools Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Adobe Captivate functions as an element of an educator's mind and heart. It provides the opportunity to reveal the nested loops of a talent provider's under- or unused abilities and enliven and enthuse a learner. Whether it's screencasts or software simulation, Virtual Reality tutorials or smartphone ready-made classes, quizzes or plug-in and play experiences Adobe Captivate offers multichannel channels to bring content to a large audience.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

The support resources ought to be expanded in terms of videos and assistance archives. Even in high-end computers it does not run effectively. Lags are also noticeable using the LMS's differential features.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

This has the ability to change an organisation's educational / training methods and develop high-skilled employees.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since educating in the area of managing in Bank of America, I gradually supplement pencil and panel instruction during the class itself with immersive quizzes to deepen the concepts. Screencasts are ideally suited to provide specialized training and encourage employees to practice at off-hours.

The ability to integrate other adobe software and application within captivate prime. Play necessary videos, interactive games and questionnaire's if needed.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Offline ability a little taxing however minimum functionality is available. Doesn't integrate well with other more technical software packages for future design works and technical files.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

Make sure to have a lesson plan drafted before you build your LMS. It's good to approach your projects with a blueprint so you can properly structure lesson and flow chart.

  ### 49. Very slick and mature LMS, but not for newbies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramiro O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

Captivate Prime LMS is a very mature and well sourced LMS. It comes with the backing of Adobe which its Creative Cloud products are legendary. It's not that difficult to learn and has a wealth of features like offline access and learner tracking.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime)?**

This LMS is a little pricer than others, but then again, it's Adobe and you get top-notch support. It's also a bit inflexible in allowing customizing organizational structure and access rights. It can be done, but it's very limited.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface is easy to use for medium to advanced LMS users and allows for fast and fluid. Its intuitive learner dashboard allows personalization with drag and drop widgets. It also lets learners know about their upcoming courses, recommends courses they need to finish within given deadlines, the skills they have learned, and additional courses they might be interested in. This is a great "Learner Based" LMS.

  ### 50. Captivate Prime is making our training department shine

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime):**

We are still in the implementation process. We have been setting up our courses and uploading our content. So for, we have found Captivate Prime LMS to be easy to learn. We like that we could brand the product and upload directly from Adobe Captivate. We also like that we add a live session from Adobe Connect. We are excited to start opening it up to our staff. We tested three systems and Adobe Captivate Prime LMS really met all our requirements, especially the ease of sharing from Captivate.

**What problems is Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem we want to solve is to organize our training and make our training better. We are realizing that when we go live we will be training our staff better.
