Whether you're captioning a podcast or creating social media content, Adobe Closed Captioning works well. I used to pay for Descript but decided to cancel my subscription after Adobe released their own version of captioning. It doesn't include all of the features of Descript, but having the ability to automatically create captions directly in the timeline of the project you're working on is really worth it in the end. Editing a video, exporting it, uploading to Descript, generating the .srt, importing the .srt to your timeline in Adobe... it's all a huge slowdown to one's workflow. It has a very useful characteristic of bei9ng able to synchronize the subtitle line with the audio waves instead of relying solely on ear. Besides that in general the adobe suite has pretty much every software and tool needed for whatever task you have at hand. BUT, it also remains quite inaccessible to everybody due to its price, now you have to subscribe, you can't just buy the software and spect it to be relevant in a few months or even less.
