## Adobe Closed Captioning Reviews
  ### 1. Accurate, Well-Timed Captions with Smooth, Intuitive Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalima P. | Account Executive( AR And Projects), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

It’s accurate and times the captions well, even when I speak slowly. It saves time and makes it easier to understand, even if the user has used technical terms. It’s also easy to edit: adjusting timing, fixing words, or formatting the text feels smooth and intuitive instead of tedious, and it helps keep a smooth tone.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Auto-generated captions often need noticeable cleanup, especially when there’s background noise or multiple speakers talking. Sometimes it takes extra time to make corrections, and there can be delays in matching the audio with the caption speed at the same time. Overall, it’s a strong tool, but transcription errors, the need for manual timing fixes, and limited styling options can make the captioning process take longer than expected.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Closed Captioning:**

I would recommend using it. To get the best results, start with a short audio recording in a quiet, silent place.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me create accurate captions and automatically transcribes audio, even when speakers talk quickly or use technical terms. It also supports accessibility compliance, and all of this can be done in very little time.

  ### 2. Easy and Useful Captioning for Video Content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prajwal S. | Project Coordinator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

The speed at which captions are produced after a video is uploaded is something I appreciate. There are several caption styles available, and editing the text is simple. It improves the efficiency of video preparation and saves time.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Certain names, words, or technical terminology require manual correction, particularly when the audio is ambiguous. Before I finish the film, I still need to go over the captions.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Closed Captioning:**

It is a useful tool for anyone creating presentations, demos, training videos, or social media content. It works best when the audio is clear, and I recommend reviewing the captions once before publishing.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of writing captions by hand, I can add them to training films and presentations more quickly with Adobe Closed Captioning. For viewers who are watching without sound or in noisy settings, it makes the content easier to interpret. Additionally, it helps me finish video deliverables more quickly and effectively.

  ### 3. Easy, Time-Saving Captions with Powerful Speech-to-Text and Export Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Adobe Closed Captioning is a popular tool that helps you create, edit, and manage captions for videos. It’s easy to use and saves a lot of time.

Speech to text: It can automatically convert audio into text, which is very helpful for long videos.
Easy editing: You can fix spelling mistakes, get word suggestions, adjust timing with the video, and change how captions look (font, size, position).
Multiple languages: It supports around 28 languages, making it useful for different audiences.
Export options: You can export captions in different formats that work on platforms like YouTube and Netflix.

Overall, it makes adding captions simple, fast, and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Some parts of Adobe Closed Captioning in Adobe Premiere Pro can be a little frustrating.

The speech-to-text feature is helpful, but it’s not always accurate, especially with accents, background noise, or technical words. So I still need to check and fix the captions.

Adjusting the timing is another challenge. Auto-sync works, but making captions match perfectly with the speech takes extra time.

For beginners, the interface can be a bit confusing. It takes time to understand all the settings.

Also, the formatting options are limited, especially if you need more advanced styling.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Closed Captioning:**

If you’re planning to use Adobe Closed Captioning in Adobe Premiere Pro, I would recommend it, especially if you’re already using Adobe tools. It really helps speed up caption creation with its speech-to-text feature and easy editing options.

That said, I wouldn’t rely completely on the auto-generated captions. I usually review and fix them because the accuracy can vary depending on audio quality and accents.

It’s also worth spending some time learning the caption settings and workflow. Once you get used to it, things become much easier and faster.

I try to keep my captions simple and properly timed so they’re easy to read. You can also adjust the style (like font, size, and position) to match your video and make it look better.

Overall, it’s a very useful tool for saving time and improving accessibility, but it works best when you combine automation with a bit of manual editing.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Closed Captioning helps solve common problems when I’m working on my video editing.

Before, creating captions manually it took a lot of time. Now the speech-to-text feature generates captions automatically, which saves my time and effort.

It also makes my videos easier to understand for more people which is increasing my video reach , including those who can’t hear the audio or who simply prefer watching without sound. Captions can also improve reach, since many people watch videos on mute, especially on social media.

Editing is easier as well, because I can edit and manage captions within the same tool instead of switching to other software.

Additionally the multilanguage support and export/import option make the life easier .

Overall, it saves time, improves my videos performance

  ### 4. YES ASL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elyse B. | Flight Attendant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Well as I said above, it does the hard work for you. You only really have to watch/read it once to fix any errors but for the most part everything is pretty accurate from the start. It's a great function.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

I don't think there is anything to really dislike about the function. Maybe if it knew 100% of what is being captioned, but my goodness, it's pretty much perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Closed Captioning:**

It's the best, definitely use utilize it!

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to listen and caption something myself is a huge help. It's very time-consuming to type up everything. With ACC you can read it as it's going and fix any errors you find along the way. It's pretty accurate for the most part.

  ### 5. Completely an absolutely user friendly software for all your captioning..!!

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Just that few times my software got crashed. But otherwise love the software not many flaws to find out.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Closed Captioning:**

Instead of getting a complicated software for captioning use this as it is user friendly.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me get captions and sound cues for my videos..!! It is one platform which I find very user friendly and very quick to use and get my captions done. Lot of formats which is an extra boost for a content creator like me.

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

It allows you to add captions which are basically subtitles. Which you can further add into your videos according by enabling it from adobe cc just simply toggle on it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Worst part is i think this is not available in every language so it should be available in every language so people from different countries can add their own captions.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Closed Captioning:**

I advice to people to just get and use it first then recommend.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 7. Stop Paying for Descript!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JP H. | Social Media Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**Describe the project or task Adobe Closed Captioning helped with:**

Whether you're captioning a podcast or creating social media content, Adobe Closed Captioning works well. I used to pay for Descript but decided to cancel my subscription after Adobe released their own version of captioning. It doesn't include all of the features of Descript, but having the ability to automatically create captions directly in the timeline of the project you're working on is really worth it in the end. Editing a video, exporting it, uploading to Descript, generating the .srt, importing the .srt to your timeline in Adobe... it's all a huge slowdown to one's workflow. I highly recommend any Adobe Premier user utilize Adobe's Closed Captioning.

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

The ability to generate live, editable captions directly in the sequence that I'm editing. It really speeds up the workflow for any editor whose clients require captions.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

I know it's rarely used, but other software includes a cut option for filler words. From my understanding, Adobe doesn't include this in their CC Option, but might prove useful to many editors if added in the future!

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most important thing about closed captioning is that over 80% of videos viewed online are viewed without sound on, therefore, the ability to add captions to every video is more important than ever.

  ### 8. Very indeep software, but a little pricy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2022

**Describe the project or task Adobe Closed Captioning helped with:**

It has a very useful characteristic of bei9ng able to synchronize the subtitle line with the audio waves instead of relying solely on ear. Besides that in general the adobe suite has pretty much every software and tool needed for whatever task you have at hand. BUT, it also remains quite inaccessible to everybody due to its price, now you have to subscribe, you can't just buy the software and spect it to be relevant in a few months or even less.

**What do you like best about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Layout and general usefulness of the suit and tools.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Pricing, don't know how much takes to make and keep updated such software, but prices could be better.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me a more visual and exact way to synchronize my subs to the audio instead of relying on written commands. Also is a more optimized and pretty interface.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Closed Captioning?**

Maybe we need a better user experience.

word recognition needs to be better than what we have now.

**What problems is Adobe Closed Captioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Putting captioning was tough before, but now it is easy to achieve accurate results and put captions for so many videos in a short time.
