The recent challenge this year for the holiday season was how to sell gift cards and packages without a huge overall to my website. This was not possible prior with other solutions I looked like for example BookedIN was not able to help with gift cards as well as sending agreements before a session was booked. I can do BOTH of these things with Acuity **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** Weekend support would be great - currently lacking Better Integration Support - I use Honeybook and currently have to use Zapier. Having more native options would be better for workflow as well as added security. I am always hesitant about having to proxy data through another service. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** Use the free trial to get a feel for how things working and make sure this will solve what you are looking to accomplish. There are lots of solutions out there and its hard to find one thing to solve everything so make sure you are being smart in general about not only Acuity but any other tech you are trying to integrate into your business. I appreciate the simplicity of the design for both creating and using. My clients have no problem navigating the scheduling system and I find it easy to manipulate and personalize it. It helps me keep track of my appointments for tax and massage exchange purposes that is a huge relief. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I wish I have more control over the color scheme. That is really my only chief complaint. I think it is easy to make it my own and I appreciate the ability to adapt to my changing business. It might be nice to have a place where I could upload my logo, but again for the price I really have no complaints. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** I think for the price and ease of use Acuity Scheduling is the best choice. I have been using it for a couple of years now, and I am looking forward to making the best use of it. This is a huge help and really easy for my customers to fill out when they schedule their appointment. There are many options to customizing your forms and you can set up the forms to be shown for all services or for specific services or you can create a private form for just staff. Another reason I went with Acuity Scheduling is because I can include payment options (they recommend using Square or Stripe) such as, requiring full payment or deposit (fixed or %), or if you require the full amount you can include a tip option. Also, their "freebie/solo" option is pretty good. I tried another free scheduling site that was fine but it didn't have an option to view your calendar by month, which Acuity Scheduling has; plus the other scheduling sites' mobile option wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as Acuity's. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I have been using Acuity Scheduling for one month now, mostly inputing information and seeing how it looks like live, so I can't say that I dislike much of anything right now. As far as paying for the service, however, I would like to see an option for prepaying a full year or more at a discounted rate. Recently, I found out that Squarespace partnered up with Acuity to offer the scheduling system free (forever!). I wish I knew this before going with Wix. Bummer. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** The business problems I am solving with Acuity Scheduling is having less cancelations, less no-shows, and less back-and-forth with the customer because I have included the policies (client intake forms) that the customer agrees to during the scheduling process. Acuity was like this huge breath of fresh air. I was so relieved to find that I could integrate it beautifully right into my website, so people didn't even have to leave my site. And I can create both coupons and even have the option to create service packages. Just SO happy with the options. I would 100% recommend this to others who do massage, energy work or appointment scheduling of any kind. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I would like to have the option to do payments on a sliding scale or donation basis. Currently looking in the forum for a work around, and I'm confident that I will find something that will work. I can schedule their sessions and collect payments, deliver contracts and have them sign everything all in one place. There's also an app thats wonderful because I can see my schedule at a glance, set availabilities and off days super easily. They also just added functionality to take payments via paypal and square (and the square reader for on the spot payments!) **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** Its not fully decked out with all of the extra bells and whistles like some other CRMs I've used, but in all honesty for the monthly cost its easier on a small business and handles the basics I need it to. The app could do a little more to facilitate social connections, and advertising the service menu straight to my business' pages, but they do offer a link thats copied easy enough for me to go and post it myself. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** If you're using this for a small business (such as a photography business) and don't have the extra man power, this makes for an efficient CRM and helps free up a lot of time. Mini sessions are even a breeze thanks to this! My clients know what to expect, as do I and the basic plan is super affordable to help even the smallest businesses. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its a great online "store front" so to say, I'm freeing up time going back and forth manually scheduling and going over terms and agreements and contracts, accepting multiple payments. If there are certain points I want to make sure clients are reading, I can have them as separate check and e-signs, and they can break up their payments, reschedule their session times if necessary within a set window period, and I get updates automatically sent to me. Also the app is a life saver for on the go, I can see my schedule and what sessions are coming up, and they even send out a weekly (or more frequent) at-a-glance view so I know what my week is going to look like without having to log in somewhere. ### 8. The ability to accept so many payment methods, and create payment plans is also very useful. Customising the confirmation and reminder emails by appointment is fantastic, so I can ensure my clients are prepared for the session beforehand. Basically I was able to setup Acuity scheduling in 10mins for the services I offer though my website. I checked few other competitors most of them redirect client from your website to their own site for booking etc which is a red line for me, I love the Acuity manages booking at your own domain with few clicks, and without any redirection. I specially liked Add-on where you can add more services to already selected services. Coupons and Gift Vouchers/card are managed very well, as in service industry Gifts and Coupon are very important tool for marketing. I like the Payment integration as I don't accept booking without payment. Perfect for my needs and I like very bit of it. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I dislike the way they have priced their plan packages, for example any new business needs to Sell Appointment Packages & Gift Certificates though coupons sites to make their name known in the market but for that you need to buy Growing Business plan which does't make sense, I suggest they should give their client the power to Offer Subscriptions / Memberships, Sell Appointment Packages & Gift Certificates in their Emerging Entrepreneur Plan but with limits in place, to get limits off you should buy Growing Business Plan, which makes more sense, like that Acuity helps really to grow your business. Very user-friendly very simple and once people got the feel it was great.. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** However the support for this program is one of the worst I've ever experienced in my life. They don't even have a support line, phone number, text group or anything. You email them after you are forced to search for your problem... Because i haven't tried doing that for hours already! They intentionally let you use their Program full service and then they take everything away and act like you're going to spend the money to upgrade and when in reality they should just have given you the basic program and asked for your money from the beginning. Truly disappointed that I loved this program so much and you crapped out on me so bad that I have no nice things to say anymore. Literally I have to fill out a horrible review and survey to get my calendar to work! I like the clean professional look of the application for users. I like the fact that I can add different groups of appointments with different availability - this is awesome for me because I do off-site appointments as well as virtual appointments and this allows me to schedule all of these in one system. I also like that they have an app - when I'm re-scheduling clients, this makes it very easy. Also I love the humor - you can see it in their help features - and the helpfulness of the company. Any time I've had to ask them to assist me with figuring out where something was, or how to do a workaround for something, they've been extremely knowledgeable and helpful. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I think this program has a bit of a learning curve - it isn't as intuitive as my previous booking system was. I really dislike the way that this program handles schedule changes. If I want to have different availability at different times of year, I can't just go in and say - on this day, change the availability to this schedule. If I change my availability (general, not just for a specific day, one-off) - it changes ALL THE AVAILABILITY for the whole schedule, including the past. This means that I can't look at my history and see bookings vs availability for a certain time period. It will show the bookings but not what the availability was. It also prevents me from being able to plan ahead some because I have to manually go in and change the availability on specific dates if I've got an upcoming schedule change. Either I make the change and edit the days until then, or I have to edit availability on the future dates of the new schedule, until I get there. Yes, there are workarounds, but it's a pain and requires more thinking and doing than I think should be necessary. Another thing that I don't "dislike" so much as wish was different - I get my Acuity subscription free with my website host (Squarespace) but they only qualify the one Acuity plan level.
