Ability to do appointment reminders, forms/waivers, special schedules, multiple calendars and payment processing including is all great **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** We attempted to use acuity in a small group fitness environment. We had memberships and scheduling through here and it did not work well. Clients are asked to hold on to their "unique code" in order to schedule multiple sessions which was difficult. Sometimes sessions did not align with payment dates and sessions were lost **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** Use for one on one appointments and scheduling purposes. I would not recommend the packages / subscriptions or using for a group setting. If you require support, a phone number is not available. It allows to coordinate several schedules across multiple time zones. It also sends useful reminders via email and text to the customers, to help them remember their appointments. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** There are two main gripes I have with Acuity. 1. I wish Acuity could take into account the different time zones of our reps. It does take the customer's time zone into account, which makes it easy for them. However, I have multiple reps in several states. When they log in to Acuity, it shows their calendars in my time zone, since I'm the administrator. It should allow each user to have their own time zone so it displays accurately on their calendar. We fix this issue by having it sync with their Google Calendar, which works, but it's not ideal. 2. Acuity only allows reminder notifications to be sent on an hourly basis. So the soonest it can remind someone about their appointment is 1 hour before. Ideally, we would be able to send them a notification 5-10 minutes before. These are simple phone calls we're scheduling and it's easy to forget/ignore a reminder that's an hour out. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** The question Acuity solved for us is, "How do we schedule appointments for customers all over the country with sales reps that are also all across the country?" We schedule about 15-30 appointments every day for our sales reps. It is easy to use and organized. It really works well! ### 7. I work in a small mental health practice and we're often scheduling for one another so it's imperative that we be able to see each other's calendars. Before COVID, we were also allowing clients to schedule themselves through our website which was great. I also enjoy the business integrations. We've been able to integrate our scheduling with Zoom, GoToMeeting, Active Campaign and QuickBooks--which has allowed us to streamline our business and client processes. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I don't like that when you block off time in Acuity, it doesn't show up on your linked Google calendar as blocked off time. The acuity app is constantly having problems, so it's difficult to use my phone for scheduling. They allow for different colors for different appointment types, but they don't allow you use different colors for different practitioners' appointments. When you're looking at everyone's calendar on one page (especially in week view) it's really confusing and you can't easily distinguish whose appointment is whose. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can integrate it with other apps which means when clients get scheduled for certain appointment types, they now automatically receive certain emails, zoom links when appropriate, and their payment can go through quickbooks. It provides a simple, yet flexible way to schedule clients and enroll people into workshops. What I really love is the ability control my schedule and to make certain services available at certain times. I also love the seamless experience that the client has to book an appointment, fill out an intake form, get a reminder by email with everything they need to know about the appointment. Plus I'm able to send them an automated follow up to gather feedback and point them to their next steps. Once it's all set up, I don't have to think about the process again. Clients find it easy to book, pay, and show up for their appointments. There are also features to sell packages, a basic printable gift certificate, and also to schedule and provide a way for people to sign up for a workshop. I don't use these features as much because of the customized nature of my work, but it's really good to have those options. A feature that I do really enjoy is the ability to take notes about clients right on the platform. I also think there's a HIPPA version of this for healthcare professionals... but not 100% sure. Other nice features are... the ability to easily reschedule appointments within the platform. It really saves a lot of back and forth communication that takes up time that could be used for other things. Also, there's tracking and the ability to offer coupons as well... and did I mention Google and ICal calendar integration? **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I find that getting people onto my master email list is a little clunky. I have to use Zapier... which is not my favorite thing... a review for another time I guess. The other thing that a bit labor intensive is the set up. But once you have everything the way you want it, you don't have to do it again... unless you change something. I've also found that there are a lot of features I don't use... not that they wouldn't be useful for other businesses. I primarily use Acuity to schedule my one to one meetings, and have found that it's easier (for me) to do the rest... workshop registration, sale of gift certificates, etc... in another way. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** Try it out. It was simple for me to set up, and I like the checklist that they give you to help you fully incorporate all the features. It's so convenient to be able to set my 'regular hours', and then change certain days when I need to. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** There are just a few seeming glitches with the page (at least in Chrome) when setting business availability... I like to switch between Chrome and the iCalender app, and every time I switch between, the page jumps upwards so I can see the week I was looking at anymore. In general, the availability page is not as easy to use as I think it could be. Rescheduling a client's session time is not very intuitive, it always takes me a while to figure out how to do it. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** If you pay for a Squarespace business account, search on Google for how to link it with Acuity – you get a free Acuity account! I also like that you can connect another payment processor (for us it was Square) so the event payments came 1) immediately and 2) just like any other item purchase. We were running a small shop with different vendors and workshops so it was helpful to easily attribute workshop sales through Square. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** Super clunky for both us and customers. I think they've made some improvements since last fall, but the backend is very clunky. You are taken into an onboarding flow that doesn't easily adapt. (It feels like it was designed for people who host classes like a yoga studio or something.) It took me and my operations person several tries to set it up for our needs, which was to sell tickets to workshops being hosted by different people. On the front-end, it's not as visually pleasing as Eventbrite or similar ticket sellers. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem is we needed to sell tickets to workshops and events while avoiding Eventbrite's outrageous fees. I love how they will send reminders for me. I was initially concerned because I figured there was no way for me to keep my schedule as particular as I like it, but Acuity is so highly customizable that I have found that all my concerns were addressed. I have received help from their support team and have never run into a hiccup that did not get resolved. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** There is a significant financial investment to have the account with the business agreement, but I do think it's worth it. I think there's a small learning curve just learning all the ways it works/details. I know sometimes the reminder emails can go to the client's junk inbox which is a minor challenge. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** Make sure you spend a good amount of time considering which of the packages would be best for your company based on your needs. I started with a cheaper option, and moved to a more expensive option (Powerhouse Player) as my business needs changed. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can set really detailed parameters around how many clients I see each day/week/month. I love the feature which allows me to have clients fill out intake forms as they are scheduling. I can generate more income and schedule more appointments, which helps my bottom line. That was very annoying and would take multiple sendings to finally decide at what time should the meeting be and if you are doing it locally or through zoom you have to send another email to specify that. They are mobile friendly, and super easy even for clients to use. I love that I can set my schedule, even when it's quite complex (with irregular days and times of availability), as well it's super easy to get all the info I need from clients and potential clients through acuity's onboarding options. If clients need to reschedule their call, or I need to reschedule Acuity has made this super easy! I also love that they're just down to earth, funny and have some of the best copy around (as an entrepreneur this totally sealed the deal for me). I've never had a scheduling problem in the 3+ years I've been using them and I recommend them to all my clients. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** They could expand their integrations, I use their zoom integration but haven't totally gotten it nailed down in the way I'd like. It was also very easy to embed the ability to set appointments on our website. The intake form creation process was very simple to make small changes. We anticipate that the ease of scheduling appointments is a great tool for our returning clients. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** I used to dislike the lack of features such as having different scheduling limits per user. We used to each have to stick to a default 4 hour before shift which was difficult as we each had a different commute to the office. What I mostly dislike now is the inability to talk to someone when we need troubleshooting help. You have to send in an email and then wait. **Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:** You have to be ok with the lack of phone support. This was difficult for me to try to sell to my partners as some of them like to pick up the phone as soon as they have any questions or issues. This of course though is offset by the great price point. **What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved the issue of constant rescheduling as clients would forget their appointments. We also no longer send follow up emails or texts as the software handles that for us. I push for my Clients to set up accounts for future visits but since tax prep is a once a year interaction there isn’t much of a desire from clients to do so. We are hoping to better use their retention strategies to reach out to any clients who booked in 2017 but not in 2018. the Intake form option also lets us better prepare for the type of client coming in. ### 43. One of my favorites it to "pretend your busy" and it takes away some of the appointments. **What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?** Integrating Google Adwords, Acuity does offer an analytics plugin along with a custom conversion integration (Which you use for adwords) However in my experience this has been difficult to track the adwords conversions like this.
