## About ActFax
ActFax manages, transmits, and receives all incoming and outgoing faxes. It runs on most popular operating systems and supports print-to-fax, so users can send faxes from any application that supports printing. ActFax maintains tight security and automatically routes incoming messages to the correct person.

**What do you like best about ActFax?**

The truth is that there is no reference in what to send / receive fax refers, but if there were any ActFax could be. Its function fulfills it very well. Sending / Receiving fav via analog lines, ISDN, as well as VoIP / FoIP, SIP and T.38 does it perfectly. You can send fax to email, I have even a small part of flow for it depends on the fax that arrives to send it to an email or to another. It has small things that make it very suitable. In addition you can put both Windows and Linux apart from DOS or mainframes. It also works virtualized. A marvel. 

**What do you dislike about ActFax?**

Being a fax program and waiting for me, its interface is very primitive (if it has one, because some distribution of S.O. does not have it). A part of the flows being a good feature that has short remains shortly. If they work, they would gain a lot of market. On the other hand I do not have any more problems. He does his work perfectly and at a very good speed. Maybe their support could improve if they wanted to be much better, but it's pretty good.

**Recommendations to others considering ActFax:**

If you do not want or do not have a physical fax, it is your application. Do not hesitate. And at a very good price.

**What problems is ActFax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supplement for customers who do not want physical fax but for APP.

**What do you like best about ActFax?**

Let me preface by stating that I am currently using and have only previously administered old versions of this software. Currently we do not have physical fax lines and use ActiveFax (what the older version is called) to pull faxes from a web API based fax service. 

I rarely have to perform any maintenance on the server, it is generally rock solid. When we used actual fax boards rather than the web API service provider, the only problems I ever ran into were caused by the actual phone lines.

**What do you dislike about ActFax?**

The users/groups/permissions structure is somewhat counter-intuitive and we have had to make some concessions in regards to how we have things set up. It also does not actually authenticate with AD, but it will pull the username of the user opening the application and match it to a user in ActiveFax. I believe this functionality has not changed with the newer versions.

**Recommendations to others considering ActFax:**

I believe they offer a 30 day trial. Try it out and see if it suits your purposes. You don't need physical fax boards to install, there are other methods it can send and receive faxes.

**What problems is ActFax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We aggregate faxes sent to multiple fax lines through a web fax service into the application for a select number of users to sort and disseminate. We also print to fax using this software.
