# What AEM platforms give IT teams decent dashboards and analytics for tracking endpoint health without requiring a separate monitoring tool on top?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Here’s something I didn’t expect. Even with <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/autonomous-endpoint-management-aem">AEM tools</a>, teams still talk about needing a second tool just to understand endpoint health.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">So instead of asking which tools have dashboards, I’ve been trying to narrow down what AEM platforms actually make a separate monitoring layer unnecessary.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A few that seem to get close:</p><ul>

<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/automox/reviews"><strong>Automox</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Focused more on compliance and risk than general monitoring.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/splashtop-autonomous-endpoint-management/reviews"><strong>Splashtop AEM</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Combines inventory and updates in one place.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/tanium/reviews"><strong>Tanium</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Extremely powerful, but requires more effort to interpret.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">The real question is: At what point does “more data” stop being useful and start slowing teams down?</p>

&lt;p&gt;NinjaOne having one interface for alerts, patching and device status is exactly what I want but I&#39;d want to use it for a while before trusting that claim. Every AEM tool I&#39;ve evaluated says it replaces the monitoring layer and then you end up adding one anyway six months later.&lt;/p&gt;
