"Replaced Vidyard with Wistia and Never Looking Back — Makes Video, Podcasts, and Analytics Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

I love Wistia! It’s so much easier than our previous Vidyard solution, and it makes uploading, editing, and recording videos really straightforward. I also love how flexible the channels are—I can create different channels for different uses.

For example, we have a channel for Malbek Studios that lives on our website and keeps everything organized by content type. Each of those also has LLM-friendly embeds that we can place on product pages. I also like that I can use a channel to create a one-off environment just for analysts or other customers.

We also use it for podcasts, and the recorder is great—it does exactly what we need it to do. We have the ability to do webinars as well. I have not explored much into the webinar features yet, but I definitely plan to in the new year. We’ve moved off of Zoom to take advantage of that. Also, and you think about analytics you get really in depth analytics and heat mapping. I also really like that if you add UTMs to videos, you can track performance also integrate with HubSpot directly in terms of forms and things like that. Overall awesome and good value for the price. What do you dislike about Wistia?

There’s not much to dislike overall. There are definitely a few small things—some minor bugs and a couple of rough areas, especially around new features. It seems like new features get launched without clearly communicating what’s new.

One issue I ran into was with the Mac desktop app while recording. We had done a one-time recording and tested it beforehand, and everything worked fine. But on the actual day (when that one-time recording really needed to be captured) it seemed like some new features were rolled out (or something changed), and part of the recording got lost. Support supposedly escalated but the only resolution was to record again which couldn’t be done. The audio was all there, but the video was recording right until about 30 mins in and then automatically switched to an 16:9 format halfway through so the majority of the screen share wasn’t even visible. Would have liked more of a response or some kind of recovery but that’s been one of the only real problems I’ve had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unbeatable Value: Robust Features, Smooth Onboarding, and Fast Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

I like several things about Wistia. First, you can't beat the price. My company was using a similar platform with less features and Wistia is nearly 1/3 of the price of its competitor, but is much more robust. Secondly, they're always adding more features and tools. The built in video editor is great for quick jobs, like simple social media videos. It's accessible and easy to learn. I also love the built-in AI-smart embeds for featuring videos onto our website. This is a fantastic feature that shows how they are on top of AI searchability. The onboarding process was smooth, and whenever my team has questions, support gets back to us very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

Sometimes, the video editing feature can be a bit clunky. It is not for large jobs. It can be finicky once there have been multiple edits. It tends to get slow and there have been a few times where one edit causes a delay to all of the other edits, so I basically have to restart. I have learned its limits and still really enjoy the editing feature, but it really is best just for short social media clips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Great Platform for Customer Training and Enablement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

What I like most about Wistia is how easy it makes uploading, organising and sharing video content with customers. The upload process is quick and straightforward, which saves time when managing a large library of customer training videos.

One of my favourite features is the AI-generated chapters. These are incredibly useful, particularly for longer training videos, as they save time manually creating chapters and make it much easier for customers to jump straight to the sections most relevant to them.

I'm also a big fan of Wistia Channels. They're a great way to organise related videos in one accessible location, and the ability for customers to subscribe to a channel is particularly valuable. It's a feature I use regularly and a great way to help customers stay connected with training content.

Another feature I really appreciate is the flexibility to customise the viewing experience, particularly adding links to related videos at the end. This helps guide customers towards additional learning resources and encourages them to explore more content.

We also embed Wistia videos directly into our customer-facing websites and training materials, which is really useful. It allows us to make video content available wherever customers need it, without requiring them to visit a separate video platform.

The support team also deserves a mention. On the occasions when I've needed assistance or encountered an issue, they've always been receptive, responsive and helpful, which makes a real difference.

Overall, Wistia has made managing and delivering customer training videos much simpler. It's the combination of ease of use, AI-powered features, flexible content organisation, embedding options and reliable support that makes it such a valuable platform for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

There isn't a great deal I dislike about Wistia, as it generally meets my needs for hosting, managing and sharing customer training videos.

One area I'd like to see improved is the AI-generated chapters feature. While it's a feature I really enjoy using, it would be great to have more control over the number of chapters generated for a video. Being able to specify how many chapters I'd like, or adjust the level of detail, would provide more flexibility when organising longer training videos.

I've also noticed recent updates to the branding and customisation options, which are welcome improvements, and it's good to see the platform continuing to evolve.

Overall, these are relatively minor suggestions rather than significant frustrations. Wistia does what I need it to do, and I'm generally very happy with the features and functionality available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Webinar Hosting with Flexible Video Updates and Smooth Performance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

I love that we can swap out videos when we need to update without having to change links everywhere.

I also really like how intuitive and simple the webinar platform is to use, including the option to upload presentations and videos directly rather than only having the option to screen-share.

We've had no problem with the performance of the webinar platform or the video tools (e.g. transcription, captions etc) and it's been simple to onboard people when we have new hosts involved in webinars.

The Pardot integration is one we haven't utilised so far but it's good to know it's there. So far we've simply exported the data we need, when we need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

The main thing I can think of off the top of my head right now is the limited customisation of the webinar platform, including the inability to change languages of headlines and section headers. These are small things but when hosting a webinar in German, for example, it's a bit jarring to be unable to change that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick In-Platform Video Edits with Instant Live Updates on Our Website"
4/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

While our team doesn't handle bulk editing in Wistia, I like that I can make minor edits to it within the platform. It saves me time from having to export the video every time I want to make adjustments.

We use Wistia to host videos on our website, so it is really convenient that changes go live instantaneously so that I can check in real time how it looks on the website and make any necessary adjustments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

I mostly use it from a Digital perspective, I wasn't involved in contracting or onboarding the platform, so I don't know if there were any learning curves with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward User Conferences with Responsive Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

It was relatively straight-forward to host a user conference, swap between speakers, etc. Their support was also very responsive if we ran into issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

A couple of things, all solvable.

1. Sending event emails to attendees doesn't include a calendar invite. We had to send distinct emails with calendar invites to attendees.

2. Sharing your screen adds your screen to the live presentation immediately. So, if one speaker is talking, and another is prepping to speak next, the second person cannot share their screen without messing up the first person.

3. Number of attendees counter was buggy; we started a user conference with a report that we had 2 attendees... but then 50... then 3... then 53... then 2. Despite the number, we did indeed have 50+ attendees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Video Hosting with Valuable Engagement Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

What I like best about Wistia is how easy it makes hosting and embedding professional-looking videos on our website. The customizable player helps keep the experience consistent with our brand, and the engagement analytics help us understand how viewers interact with our content and where we can improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

I’d like more flexibility in reporting, especially when connecting video engagement to lead generation and campaign performance. More options to customize dashboards and compare results across videos would make it easier to turn the data into actionable insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Video Analytics in a Super User-Friendly Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

All the different functionalities, in particular the ability to analyse each video from the engagement to when people are dropping out and rewatching the platform is also super user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

I wish Wistia also had an interactive side of it so that you can make videos interactive, for example, have the 'click here' link and a quiz or training material pop up directly on that video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good user experience and state of the art Webinar platform"
4/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

User Experience is great. It looks very clean and is simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

A few functions not available right now: E.g. one registration form for multiple webinars. Currently you need to build one registration form for each webinar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Time-Saving AI and Easy Video Workflows with Analytics"
5/5
What do you like best about Wistia?

I like Wistia’s AI tools. I can write what I need, and it helps find key points, highlights, hooks, main points, and strong quotes. The almost instant transcripts and highlights save me time when I’m cutting videos into snippets requested by other teams, this works well especially with a small marketing team and lots of video content. I also like having video storage, editorial work, and webinar activities in one place as well as analytics. Wistia saves us time, and it fulfills our needs for creating ads, webinars, and techtalks, and reporting. The setup was super simple, and the platform is intuitive and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wistia?

I find the search function could be improved. When I search for “outro” to find a saved outro video I want to reuse, Wistia returns plenty of videos with 'outro' word but not the one that I'm searching for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
