Vevox integrates seamlessly with Powerpoint. The slide and poll designs are both easy to use and powerful in what you can achieve. For example, in polls for my own classes, I could create a short survey for an exercise, and Vevox automatically calculates the average, median, and mode of responses (I wish it could also do standard deviation, or some measure of variance). I can refresh the polls when they are done, and they coordinate in synch with my lectures (e.g., I have 5 questions, and they only open each question to users when I advance to the slide we are on, so students don't jump ahead or get lost, and I don't have to create 5 different polls manually). The results slides could add a bit more freshness and polish on design, but that seems standard for similar online polling. I also wish that for numerical scores there were more options to report (e.g., standard deviation or standard error bars for the averages). But, I will say that it can already do significantly more than what the competition can regarding numerical in-class polls with automatic results calculations. We recently explored Vevox as a new platform after becoming unhappy with our previous solution. From the moment we decided to trial it, the team — especially Dominic, Kyle, and Charlie — has been nothing but helpful and extremely responsive to every question we've had.

I like Vevox because it helps make sessions more interactive and gives participants a simple way to share opinions and feedback. Instead of people only listening, they can actively take part through polls and Q&A, which makes discussions more useful and engaging. I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content. When I conduct health awareness sessions or educational discussions, I often need a simple way to understand what people think and how well they understand a topic. Vevox is a fantastic audience engagement platform that I have found to be simple, and intuitive to use. Its PowerPoint integration is reliable and works exceptionally well. I particularly appreciate that it avoids unnecessary aesthetic design features that could slow down performance, especially when running PowerPoint presentations with embedded Vevox quiz slides while screen sharing or recording. I use Vevox regularly for knowledge-check quizzes at the end of lectures and for revision sessions before student exams. The platform enables students to self-assess their understanding while also allowing me to identify common areas of confusion and address them in real time. I primarily use the multiple-choice and word cloud features, as these closely mirror the question formats students will encounter in their assessments, helping them prepare more effectively. While my overall experience has been very positive, I would appreciate greater control over the default slide layout. At present, some Vevox elements, such as the respondent count box, can obscure information on our teaching template slides, requiring manual repositioning to maintain visibility of key content. I find Vevox to be an easy tool to use, and it encourages engagement, especially in large introduction lectures where over 200 students might be hesitant to ask questions. It allows students to ask questions anonymously, which is a big plus. I also find it very effective for setting the scene in introduction lectures, thanks to its word cloud tool. This tool helps gauge students' perceptions or understandings of a particular topic. Additionally, the multiple-choice quizzes are great for recapping or ensuring student understanding, working well both during and at the end of a lecture.
