"Straightforward, User-Friendly Guidance That Saves Time in Vena"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

What I find most helpful about Vena is that it is straightforward and user-friendly. The instructions are written in simple, clear, and easy-to-understand language, making the process easy to follow. The layout and guidance help make tasks less complicated and allow users to understand what is required without unnecessary confusion. Overall, it makes the experience more efficient and accessible, saving time and making it easier to complete tasks with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

It's not that I dislike Vena, but as a new user, it can feel a little overwhelming at first, especially because it is closely associated with budgeting and forecasting, which can involve a lot of information and details. Before getting started, it helps to have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve and what you are trying to accomplish using Vena. Having a clear goal in mind makes it easier to navigate the system, understand the steps involved, and make the most of its features. Once you understand your objectives and become familiar with the system, the process becomes easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable Upgrade to Our Financial Planning Process"
5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

What I like best about Vena is its Excel‑native structure paired with controlled workflows. It lets my team keep the flexibility of Excel while eliminating the chaos that normally comes with it. Data is centralized, templates stay consistent, and month‑end becomes faster because we’re not chasing versions or reconciling mismatched files. Great value, Vena has made wonderful improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

The main thing I dislike about Vena is that some administrative tasks still feel more rigid than they need to be. Building or adjusting templates can take longer than expected, especially when you’re trying to make structural changes rather than simple updates. It’s powerful, but not always quick. "Huge Time Saver: Customizable Excel-Friendly Reporting That Streamlines Everything"
5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

I like the customizability of reports, the ease of interfacing with Excel, and the streamlining of processes. One of the reports I use went from creating 50+ individual reports and emailing each one to the department manager to updating a single report template and giving the managers access to view it on Vena any time. Using the Task Bindings feature, I can lock down the report so each manager only sees their own department(s). If a change is needed, I only need to make it to the main template and all are updated. It is a huge time saver. Each year, I don't need to re-create reports for the new data, it is just a matter of updating the year that the report points at and everything else is automatic. This also reduces basic requests for account info since it is available to managers on demand, down to transaction-level details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

Vena's strength of customizability also means that if an implementation is not designed well from the beginning, it can be more challenging to use or improve going forward. A good design and setup is key. Many of the pre-built reports are pretty but overly complicated, and they can be challenging if not impossible to edit. I found that creating our own reports from scratch was the best way to get things the way I need them to work. Getting clear training and direction to create our own reports was more challenging than I would have liked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excel-Based with Reliable Outputs That Build Real Confidence"
5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

Being Excel based, it's the easiest software for most accountants to switch to. Having used numerous accounting/finance programs, Vena gives me the best confidence in its outputs as well as maintaining and fine-tuning to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

The system needs more localisation to the UK market. For example, the default currency, date format, item labels and terms took a chunk of time to rectify while they should have been localised before rolling out to the UK market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Controlled Planning and Reporting at Great Value"
5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

It allows us to do planning, budgeting and reporting in a well controlled way. The results are much faster than running it outside of a system.

We use it for acquisitions where it allows us to plan for them, report them separately against that plan whilst also allowing us to report a combined position.

The system uses excel which makes it easy to use and requires very little expertise from third parties or IT.

Additionally the price is much better than many other systems out there giving you more value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

I have no issues with Vena or the product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vena is great"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

It's a planning agent like an AI that builds forecasts for you, it's auto-generating charts through an upgraded reporting agent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

It's gotta be speed with larger files, setting up the background logic, building custom dashboards, and troubleshooting advanced formulas can be quite difficult for beginners. While it connects to many standard accounting and data tools, we occasionally run into errors when syncing data between Vena and their other company systems, sometimes requiring manual fixing. "Endless Solution for Finance professionals"
5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

Vena has no limits and you can build anything yWhat I like best about Vena is how effectively it combines the flexibility and familiarity of Excel with strong controls, workflow, and data integrity. It allows finance teams to maintain Excel-based models while adding version control, audit trails, approvals, and centralized data, which significantly improves collaboration and accuracy during budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The tight integration with financial systems also helps ensure consistency between actuals and plans, reducing manual work and reconciliation effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

One of the main drawbacks of Vena is that, because it is heavily Excel‑based, performance can slow down with very large models or complex workbooks, especially during peak budgeting cycles. There can also be a learning curve for non‑finance users, as success in Vena still depends on solid Excel skills and understanding of the underlying model structure. Additionally, making structural changes (such as redesigning models or hierarchies) can require more setup time and coordination than more rigid, form‑based planning tools. "Revolutionized Budgeting and Reporting with Vena"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

I appreciate how Vena has completely changed the way our team approaches budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The flexibility is amazing; we can build complex financial models, link data sources automatically, and run scenarios to arrive at a fiscal decision. Real-time updates and audit trails give us confidence that the numbers are accurate and traceable. One of my favorite aspects is the automation it brings to repetitive tasks. The reporting capabilities are powerful, as I can create professional and dynamic dashboards and presentations that give a clear financial picture. Asking natural language questions to the built-in AI features of Vena is truly a game changer for us. It helps surface trends and answer ad-hoc queries without needing to build a whole new query from scratch every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

The implementation took some thoughtful planning upfront, and the initial rollout took us a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Financial Consolidation, Great Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vena?

I like that Vena is easy to maintain. I really like the interface because it allows us to do multiple things, like creating our own datasets. It can give us PowerPoint presentations, which is handy. I appreciate that Vena has AI already integrated, which enhances the way we report numbers. It's a very self-sufficient software and helps us by correcting its own mistakes, allowing us to monitor and make necessary changes to the output. The dataset creation feature is helpful, as it assists us in consolidating financial data for reporting. We don't have to manually check numbers for each entity anymore, and Vena provides a one-stop solution. The AI integration is particularly valuable because it provides accurate historical data when requested. Overall, these features improve our workflow significantly. Additionally, the customer support team is proactive in resolving any issues we face, which we truly appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

Sometimes we have to dig deep to find out what's causing issues in Vena. It might be a minor glitch where numbers aren't reporting properly, which is an area for improvement. Although it's improving, I believe it could be enhanced further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
