Upkeep has been very open to updating features that we have recommended. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** The fact that we were told of many API integration possibilities while being left to implement them on our own. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main thing has been organization and understanding employees daily work. Along with the time and costs associated with said jobs. You can also add photos, and assign multiple people to the job at the same time. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** The phone app is a little hard to figure out how to use. It's very different from the portal on the computer. Also, it is hard to use the search bar efficiently. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** Give it some time to figure out how to use the sysem. Once you do, it will make your life easier. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the issue of keeping up with specific maintenance costs and also keeping up with the time the workers spend on each job. It also gives us a look at who is doing the jobs. ### 4. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about UpKeep?** I find upkeep very helpful to track and monitor people's work. It minimizes the need to meet up every day with the team and allows people to work independently off a job list prioritized and monitored by the management team. It has been effective in managing all spares in our stores and therefore kept budgets and costs down. We use the graphs and man-hours to monitor the workload of the department. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** The main issues with upkeep have been filters often resetting on people's phones when updates have been carried out; this can often confuse some of the less tech-savvy members of the team. Also, on the app, some people can adjust the time carried out on the job, but they cannot do this on the website. I am not sure if it is an issue with access levels etc. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** Its cost effective and easy to use. Its definitely worth considering for small businesses and developing ones. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has solved our stock tracking issues as now we have a bar-coded and standardized stock. We also now have a better system to work out man-hours on jobs and track the levels of people's work. It has been helpful to use the graphs to show how much maintenance time is put into specific bits of machinery and how much work goes into maintaining this equipment. Upkeep is invaluable in helping me keep track of the work needed. I can easily set up recurring inspections and preventative maintenance work orders. I can track time and costs and so many other reports, making it easy to understand how efficiency can be improved. I can easily keep track of my inventory and assets, so I can click on the part, or asset, and retrieve all the information that I need to know about it. The interface is easy to work with and understand, and entering work orders, parts, assets, etc. is a simple process. Upkeep is constantly improving their system with upgrades and new features. Their communication is excellent, and the few times I've needed support, they are quick to respond and very helpful. Having a mobile app for Apple and Samsung products is also a key feature. Being able to use Upkeep at the location of your work is valuable and practical. The app is simple to use, just as the desktop version is. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** Any system, no matter how great it is, can always be improved. As a church with a limited budget, I wish more features would be included in our plan, particularly the asset warranty and age tracking. The other features in the higher plan I would not need. Being new to using a CMMS, it's hard to find what else I would dislike. Upkeep pretty much gives me what I need. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** Research all CMMS systems out there. I think you will find that Upkeep is one of the top systems out there, and you will very likely come to realize that Upkeep would be a system that will work well for your organization. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before using the Upkeep CMMS, I was creating work orders using Outlook and Word. It was cumbersome and very time intensive. We also merged with another church, and I found myself responsible for the maintenance of two church and school properties. Upkeep makes it easy to create two locations and keep track of all work, assets, and parts at each campus. Once it's set up, it's quick and easy to add and track everything at each property, keeping them separate so I know exactly what is happening at each property. We needed a system that was very user friendly and that's what we got. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** Some of the backend configurations aren't real intuitively laid out but it's easier for a couple of admins to come ip to speed rather than train an entire user base how to input requests. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** We were able to start with an outline of our business locations and primary assets and are in the process of building it out as we go. Of course, the more you can enter upfront, the better, but we had virtually nothing documenting assets, and it's working just as planned. Requests are no longer lost or forgotten, and we're able to set up PM schedules for all our critical assets. Management appreciated the weekly summary of work orders in the system and to be able to see what has been accomplished. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before UpKeep, we had word of mouth and many tasks got lost or forgotten. A different maintenance system was attempted by my predecessor but it never made it to "go live". We can make checklists as well as monitor our parts inventory. The vast range of categories for EAM keeps everything organized in one spot. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** Downtime is a little hard to get set up. There seem to be multiple ways to track and use the function. Figuring out how each action affects records in each category takes time. Finally, the description of each asset should be more editable. There's no way to keep lines of text organized, and it just scrunches it all together. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** Be as detailed as you can when setting up assets so they're more easily managable. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our tracking system before only used dates and metering as triggers for work orders. It tracks assets, tasks, inventory, etc. It can even allow regular employees to make requests using an app, which is practical for signaling problems. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** The system is still full of bugs. Sometimes some things are doable but cannot be learned through the tutorials, and help is needed from the support team. The support team is always nice and tries their best, but sadly some things are just not implemented yet, or bugs are genuinely behind the problem encountered, and they can't help you after all. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** Take your time while incorporating UpKeep into your company. It is a valuable tool, but it needs a good and progressive implementation to be effective. Going too fast will make it harder to switch, as the assets and part numbers need to be well created before you can use them without suffering any confusion. It helps to have goals to achieve, for example to know what you want out of a dashboard, as if you need to contact Customer Support, telling them what you want in the end is often more efficient than writting about what is going wrong. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have saved a lot of time in handling the preventive maintenances of our machines. Having all the asset informations linked to them on a digital and mobile platform also helps a lot. We did have a tool earlier, but it just behaved like the before-mentioned options. Upkeep gave us the visibility we never had before: reports, insights, preventative maintenance schedules, the ability for customers to sign orders, assets and parts inventory, and much more! I recommend it to everyone with the above needs. **What do you dislike about UpKeep?** At the beginning the maps were pretty accurate, however, with the updates it's not working now. When we try to pinpoint an exact location, the map uses an approximate location based on the municipality. Map accuracy can be improved. **What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?** We currently use Upkeep to keep track of all our dispensing assets: shakers, dispensers, canisters, nozzles and all other parts needed. It might be nice to message back and forth for details or with updates. **Recommendations to others considering UpKeep:** It's easy to use and easy to learn but is very powerful. Technical support will help you get through it all, so don't get discouraged.
