We self-manage most of our long-term rentals across several states in TenantCloud, and it handles the core work well for the price: online rent collection, tenant portal, maintenance requests, and lease records all in one place. The biggest plus for us is the API. We built an integration that pulls TenantCloud data into our own rentals dashboard, which a lot of competitors at this price point don’t make easy. Payments have been the biggest problem. Twice, our connected bank accounts were rejected for no clear reason, and rent income sat in limbo until it was resolved. For a platform built around rent collection, that’s a serious reliability issue and it creates stress with owners and tenants. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. I know that because I barely had to train my assistant (a lady in her 60s) on how to use it. But what I most appreciate is the customer support. They respond within 30 minutes and basically always solve the issue. Also, I truly feel like they're a part of my team. We have calls every few months and I tell them about features I need to help me run my real estate business better. For example, I mentioned that I needed one central place to see all my leases and they mentioned that other people had the same issue. Within a few months, they introduced that feature. The search function is really poor. Also, I need the Tasks feature to be better because I don't think they understand how useful/important that feature is for managing your team/property managers. I constantly assign tasks to my PM and I need it to have better functions. My applicants have struggled to pay for/do screening reports. I've been using Tenantcloud for over a year now and have come to really enjoy the ability to do everything, all in one place. Previously, I was having to manage properties in one platform, advertise in another, and store documents in the cloud. With Tenantcloud, I can do it all in one place. Additionally, I can invite tenants directly from the app when I am mobile, or work from the desktop if I am in the office. While the accounting is a perk and works (yes, it works), it could use a lot of work. For example, you have to process fees/payments one at a time rather than being able to process all at once by "selecting all". While this may seem minimal, it is a literal time killer having to process each transfer individually once a month. What I like most about TenantCloud is that it keeps me organized and makes it easy to stay on top of outstanding rent payments. I can quickly see which tenants have paid, who has an outstanding balance, and manage my rental properties more efficiently. It has simplified my property management and saved me a lot of time. TenantCloud isn't always very user-friendly. Some features can be difficult to find, and it takes several clicks to complete simple tasks. A more intuitive layout and easier navigation would make the platform much better to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The updates constantly break some small thing, causing unintended consequences for the whole company. We've had to rewrite our processes multiple times just because of small logistical changes in how a lease is created or how management fees are posted and calculated. Better testing before pushing the updates out to the public to ensure they work as necessary could prevent these issues. I have a great experience with TenantCloud because it's user-friendly and makes managing properties, tenants, payments, and other important information much more organized. I find the platform is easy to work with and appreciate the overall setup which has simplified the day-to-day rental process. The notifications are really helpful; they alert me if tenants are late or need a work order, which keeps everything running smoothly. Transitioning to TenantCloud was seamless, and the assistance provided by their team saved me time, especially with setting up the rental properties.
