## IFTTT Reviews
  ### 1. The Best Automation Tool for a Solo Publisher Managing Multiple Platforms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

What I appreciate most about IFTTT is how effortlessly it connects apps and services that otherwise wouldn't communicate with each other. As the founder of ScribaVerse, a digital publishing platform, I manage multiple tools simultaneously — Google Drive, Instagram, Mailchimp, RSS feeds, Telegram, and Notion — and IFTTT acts as the connective tissue between all of them. For example, I use it to automatically post new book listings from our platform's RSS feed to our social media channels, send Telegram notifications to our team when a new author submission arrives, and back up form responses to Google Sheets. The Pro plan's multi-step applets and filtering capabilities have been particularly valuable. Setting everything up is intuitive even without coding knowledge, and the library of pre-built applets saved me hours of initial configuration time.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

There are a few limitations worth mentioning. The free plan has become quite restrictive over time — you can only run a limited number of applets, which pushes most serious users toward a paid subscription. Occasionally, applets can have a noticeable delay in triggering (sometimes several minutes), which makes IFTTT less suitable for time-sensitive automations. The advanced filtering and query features, while powerful, have a bit of a learning curve for users who aren't familiar with JavaScript. Also, some third-party integrations feel a bit outdated or are no longer actively maintained, which can lead to occasional sync errors that require manual reconnection.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running ScribaVerse as a solo entrepreneur means I wear many hats simultaneously — editor, marketer, customer support, and administrator. Before using IFTTT, I was manually copying data between tools, posting updates across multiple social media channels one by one, and missing important notifications. IFTTT solved this by automating the entire chain: when a new book page goes live on our platform, an applet automatically shares it on Instagram and sends a notification to our internal Telegram group. Another applet monitors RSS feeds from industry news sources and saves relevant articles to a Notion database for weekly editorial review. I've estimated saving roughly 3 to 4 hours per week in manual, repetitive tasks, allowing me to focus on acquisitions and editorial work — which is where I actually create value for the platform.

  ### 2. No Usage Limits and Broad IoT Integrations Make IFTTT a Powerful Automation Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica L. | Digital Accessibility and Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

IFTTT doesn't have usage limits and doesn't charge per use. It also integrates with a lot of physical Internet of Things objects to share activities or automate actions with devices.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

IFTTT has gotten more expensive over time as the demand for automation have increased, rather than decreased as you'd hope.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFTTT has allowed me to save time by ensuring I can focus on my work rather than turning things on or having to go activate my tools.

  ### 3. Effortless Automation with Diverse Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor Z. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I like that IFTTT offers dozens of connected services, including some that are available only there, like Day One. It's very cheap, which adds to its value for me. The setup is very simple and fast; I just connect services and build the flow. It's great for building workflow automations and connecting a few services into one if-then workflow.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

At IFTTT, I can build only very simple workflows.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use IFTTT for workflow automations, connecting multiple services into an if-then workflow. It offers many connected services, including some like Day One that are exclusive to IFTTT, all at a very affordable price.

  ### 4. So Many Connections to Automate Your Life With

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsey O. | Student, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

One feature I really find to be outstanding is it’s flexibility for the everyday user, weather it’s simple saving of emails to cloud storage or more complex automation using multiple platforms IFTT caters to every user level and has so many different applications and options to use.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

One disadvantage of IFTT would be its reliance on internet connectivity, it runs purely on line so for some users who may have internet connection issues may see their applets fail.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The use of automated services reduces costs and increases workflow efficiency by automating tasks for emails, making it less likely to miss any important tasks.

  ### 5. Flexible automation platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2025

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

The platform supports over 1000 popular apps and smart home devices, making it possible to automate workflows across business, productivity, and home environments.

The interface is intuitive, allowing for the creation of custom “applets” that link triggers and actions between different services. IFTTT’s mobile apps for iOS and Android are robust and provide useful features like location-based triggers, custom notifications, and widgets.

The platform also allows for more advanced automations through filter code, queries, multiple actions, and integration with Webhooks for custom workflows.

Integration with AI services, such as content creation and summarization, expands its utility for content and marketing teams.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Some integrations require regular re-authentication or experience occasional reliability issues, especially with third-party services.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFTTT streamlined repetitive tasks by automating interactions between business applications and cloud services. It enabled efficient cross-posting to multiple social networks, automated lead tracking, and synchronized data between productivity tools. This reduced manual effort, minimized errors, and improved workflow consistency across teams and devices. The ability to automate notifications and integrate with smart home or office devices also contributed to a smoother operational environment.

  ### 6. IFTTT (if this then that) great automation product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve K. | CSO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

Great for linking services and building applets that can do things when triggers are met i.e. link to your bank account and Google sheets and update a financial sheet each time a transaction happens in your account.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

nothing, it's great (maybe that the free plan is now severely limited)

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automating tasks based on triggers i.e. when I publish a new blog post it goes out to my social and business accounts like Facebook, Threads, X and LinkedIn with no manual intervention

  ### 7. Easy to use automation tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2023

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

IFTTT is very simple to use, even if you have a limited coding background. It's interface is user-friendly and clearly labeled. IFTTT allows me to automate simple tasks, such as copying new calendar events from one calendar to another or automatically backing up photos to another service. IFTTT runs seamlessly in the background daily despite the fact that I don't even have to think about it.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I have no major complaints about IFTTT. They sometimes have had limited connection options, but we've always been able to find a solution.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFTTT allows us to spend less time on routine administrative tasks. Our applets allow us to remain synced across calendars and avoid double-bookings.

  ### 8. IFTTT & Youcanbook.me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2023

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

Great software with easy setup and a limitless number if integration capabilities.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Nothing as of yet, the pricing is more than fair and the integrations are easy to set up and just work..

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After booking IFTTT imports clients to our Google contact list for use with MailChimp, auto posts to our Facebook page about the booking, and so much more.

We have integrations with our vehicle GPS for tracking mileage, expenses, etc.

  ### 9. Best and Low Cost Automation Platform for Everyone!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshit A. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I can almost automate anything easily I required to do without the knowledge of coding. It provides great, fast and useful automations option at such a low pricing.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Recently pricing of IFTTT is increased and amount of applets we can create and advanced options are more restricted now, there should be few more options available in lower plans.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can automate most of my common business tasks which not only reduce time consumption but also the cost.

  ### 10. Great Hands-Off Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I love that I was able to set this up and then just enjoy the results! It was so easy to get started, I could use my own setup or begin with a template to get the results I'm looking for. Whether it's ensure my phone has the right settings when I'm at work or website analytics, IFTTT makes my life so much easier!

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

It's so automatic that I forget it's there :)

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFTTT helps me to track my created links and my daily and monthly analytics, without needing to occupy loads of time.

  ### 11. Straightforward, Effortless, but Costly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditya A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2023

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I will keep it short and simple. If you are willing to invest your money in automation, then this is the easiest, safest, and most hassle-free option outthere. I have used Zapier and various other services. There is nothing that matches the simplicity of the IFTTT Applets (formerly recipes)

You can easily find high-quality applets for a wide range of use cases with ease. There well-made UI is ideal for modifying any existing applet according to your needs. Obviously, as a fun loving person, I often make my own applets which are equally easy to create.

IFTTT strikes a right balance between ease-of-use for normal users and the freedom for a pro user.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

As much as I love IFTTT, I keep going to other services. The reason being my hate for there pricing plans. They have a free plan, but a lot has been restricted to paid pricing plans, Usually, companies provide a free basic version of services with paid advanced features.

However, in case of IFTTT, basic apps like Pinterest have been completely restricted to paid plans. Ofcourse, things like 2+ app integrations, condionals, variables should come at a price, but having even basic functionality restricted is a deal breaker for me.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am performing home automation, and little bit of office level automation. Some quality of life improvements as well. For example, I am taking backup of my call logs automatically by integrating with Google Sheets. Other use cases include muting my phone at certain geogrpahical locations using GPS.

  ### 12. IFTTT is an underrated gem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry M. | Consultant, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

It automates many tasks when and how I need them done for me so that I do not have to. It integrates with many of the platforms I use with what is called an "applet". Having the tasks done for me is like having an assistant. I can even have it call me if a certain thing happens with an automated voice that is programmable with what not to say. Easy to use as it takes you through step-by-step via a setup wizard for each applet that you create.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I believe that Zapier is their main competitor. While IFTTT is a whole bunch cheaper, they are missing a few that I wish they had (e.g. Shopify/Microsoft). While they are really competitive in price, they need to become more competitive with integrations.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- It is integrated with my Google Calendar. I have it call me when certain types of events are scheduled.
- If I receive an order from a freelancer website, then it immediately calls me and creates both a calendar entry and a task entry.
- The images that get posted to my social media profiles are automatically backed up on Google Drive or Dropbox.

  ### 13. Best Tool For Automation For Non-Programmers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayant G. | Search Engine Optimization Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

IFTTT is a tool that allows users to automate their little yet time-consuming tasks with the greatest of ease. You can set it to perform a certain task by creating a dependency for it. For example, it will automatically create an entry in a spreadsheet and publish a post on Facebook if you complete a Fitbit goal, it will share a file in the office chatgroup from your dropbox and send you an email notification for the same if an employee asks for it in the chatgroup. This is just a simple idea it contains much more than this. IFTTT also offers a free trial period for unlimited time which is restricted to up to 5 free applets. It is very simple to use and does not require even 1% of programming experience.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

IFTTT is capable to do almost every task by itself yet it is restricted to only those actions which do not require an intelligent quotient. If one wants to create an applet that requires multiple dependencies, can not be created with IFTTT as it is limited to performing the actions that require just one dependency. IFTTT is collaborating with several other service providers to integrate their service but a lot more popular ones are yet to be onboarded.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am saving a lot of my time by getting some of my actions/tasks done by IFTTT. In my professional life, it is helping me and my team by automating a lot of actions that depend on a certain action that take place. For example, It creates a Facebook Post, a tweet on Twitter, and creates an Instagram story on our client pages as soon as we post blog articles on our clients' WordPress websites. On a personal level, it also helps me turn on my cabin's air conditioner and light as soon as the morning alarm rings in my smartwatch.

  ### 14. Essential Integration happening in the Cloud!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haris A. | Head of Planning and Investment, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

Ability to execute specific code and create integration between different services without needing personal hardware.
Ability to execute complex bespoke commands in real-time with a button tap on a smartphone.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

IFTTT may be limited by API access of services.
Shortcuts (by Apple), Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, and Feedly provide different levels of access.
Access to service may be behind a paywall (on the services end).

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Different digital services require integration.
Integrating, migrating, and automating tasks across various services is vital for repetitive tasks.

  ### 15. IFTTT Review

**Reviewed by:** Richard T. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2021

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I enjoy being able to cross connect just about any service out there to create automation workflows across just about any service out there.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I wish there was a more developer-centric interface available for general advanced users to be able to create custom formulas and actions beyond what has already been provided. It doesn't happen often, but I sometimes find a service lacks an obvious function but there is no way to manually add them.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to move notifications between services in a predictable and programmatic automated manner.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori H. | Social Media Marketer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2021

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I can remind myself to send an email at 1pm on Fridays with this simple formula: “If today is Friday, then remind me”. If it's going to rain tomorrow, I send myself an email not to leave my seedlings out in the rain. I mute my phone at 10pm. I set up once a repetitive task I need to do and then I don't work to have to remember it again.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Well, I guess it could be free but then they probably would quit developing it. :)

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I set up an app to send me an email every time a particular thing is for sale on Craigslist, so I never miss it. All my tweets go automatically into a google sheet so it's easy to track stats.

I am using IFTTT to log the water temperature of a hydroponics system in my basement.

  ### 26. its interface has a fairly intuitive design which ensures a fairly positive browsing experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

It has allowed me to automate and optimize a large number of processes within my company in a fairly quick and practical way, its interface has a fairly intuitive design which ensures a fairly positive browsing experience, the fact that we can automate tasks Backup and file synchronization is something quite useful within our company that guarantees that the information is always available and accessible to everyone at all times, the main dashboard is well designed and with all the information well distributed which greatly simplifies my time of use with the system, the customer service team is quite quick to respond to any problems that arise.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

You have to be aware that the service may stop working without prior notice, especially when password changes are made to users, which is quite cumbersome.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 27. Save Time With This Fabulous Automation Tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

For all industries it is safe to use. Obviously, that's a huge bonus. And your first steps from the installation and implementation to efficient automation of your first project are very simple. Mobile support is offered and functions like on the computer fluently. Some examples of system collections are available to inspire you or to give you new ideas to increase your productivity.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

It takes longer to start certain automation processes. And with such errors, the program is less sensitive or helpful. Sometimes you don't know that a system doesn't work properly or has long ceased work. I agree that this must be changed. These systems would otherwise be tracked for a lot of time.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

You will first check how amazing this device is. It is available online, free and allows great online automation of certain acts by using its recipes. You should authenticate your account in two steps, which is necessary, since so many other services apply to your account.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All features are simple to learn and almost any job you can imagine can be adapted to. You can connect and use many applications for your tasks. **Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

It can automate so much of your digital world. If there was a program that could listen to one program and then talk to another program and tell it what to do...you’d have IFTTT.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I really don’t dislike much about it.
I only wish more and more programs I use would have IFTTT integrations. It would make things even easier.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Before you begin to search for multiple different software programs to integrate your platforms I recommend taking IFTTT for a spin. It is likely that they will be your best solution and if they do not offer an integration now they will soon.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to get notified when certain events happen like Votes in Congress.
It send my photos from Instagram to google drive. It saves my favorite tweets to Evernote. It emails me when some of my favorite feeds are updated. It even does so much more.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I'm using the IFTTT for many years now to automate the workflow. Setting up an account and connecting recipes is a very easy task. It has its own and 3rd party applets as well as letting us to create our own.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Even there are hundreds and thousands of integrations are available to connect, I found there are some important and missing applets and opportunities. I would like to see those on the platform in the future.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

If you need to connect multiple apps and services from different vendors look no further, IFTTT is the solution for everyone and the best part is it is FREE.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFTTT is a very popular connectivity platform and it allows us to connect each app and make an automated workflow from applets. By doing so it saves our time to manually doing each task.

  ### 30. IFTTT making my workflows smarter

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa W. | Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I absolutely love the fact that I can create my OWN connections in IFTTT. Yes, there are many recipes that are useful to me, but having a choice in how I connect apps is great.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Sometimes apps I use don't exist in IFTT so I can't connect them.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Explore all features available with IFTTT, not just the ready made recipes. If you are really ambitious experiment with the developer platform that allows you to build out these skills.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data collection, automation and more. Even using things like blue tooth buttons to keep tract of items completed, and then having that data sync into an app.

  ### 31. Activate publications on several social networks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ginna G. | Personal de marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

IFTTT has a very simple interface, visually pleasing, easy to configure and use. It works very well to manage several social media accounts at the same time, as well as to alternate shared posts from one platform to another. In addition, it provides integration between different social networks at a very affordable cost, something that could be very expensive in other similar tools.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

IFTTT offers great customization and flexibility, so much that for some users it can be confusing. In addition, provide recipes that are easy to implement but that are complicated to understand at first. Perhaps they could add a video of the possible actions to be taken could help with this last aspect.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

IFTTT is ideal for Marketing teams that wish to configure automations in their company to maximize the use of their time. However, consider that at the beginning IFTTT is a bit complex, so the more time you dedicate to this application, the more you can take advantage of it later.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our company, social networks are our most powerful means of communicating with our audience, and IFTTT allows us to activate publications on several social networks, mainly, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. IFTTT allows us to select the publication of one platform and publish this same information in others, so the content is recycled. In addition, it has a series of very useful tools to which our team has taken the greatest benefit.

IFTTT is one of the pioneer and yet best platform to automate some tasks based on what happened. We've tried the Microsoft's attempt to IFTTT, Microsoft Flow and we still believe IFTTT is the best in the market.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Everything great except we are limited to one task in a single applet. Better if there were the ability to add multiple.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

There are hundreds and thousands services available to connect with these applets and very easy to understand the platform as well. Give it a try.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 35. My Marketing Secret Weapon!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris H. | Owner/Developer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

IFTTT is very much like a cooler version of Zapier but with a whole different approach. For entrepreneurs looking to expand the reach of their content marketing efforts, I recommend IFTTT to them for duplicating content from one social channel to others. It is great for triggers and alerts as well, which I use in my business to generate notifications for account activity on Stripe!

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I wish there were more business use cases and integrations on IFTTT. Getting into more niche API integrations could definitely serve IFTTT much better. Also expanding the triggers and actions of their existing app integrations is key.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

If you want an easy way to make software you already use communicate and work together, this is a great app choice to adopt. It may not have all of the app integrations you could ever dream of, but for what it does have, it does well!

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to show self-serve social media clients how to automatically syndicate content between social channels is incredibly powerful for entrepreneurs focused on time-savings and efficiency! Being able to send myself SMS notifications when new customers register in my business (through Stripe triggers) allows me to stay updated on new customer activity so I can be more present in the daily operations of my business.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I like that I can automated some simple tasks, like adding new email contacts to a spreadsheet . It helps allow me the ability to focus on more important matters

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

It's very simple in it's explanation, where I'm not sure how it's connect or how it will work. It would be good to test out functions before I went ahead and went full speed ahead

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

I would recommend to anyone that's trying to automate the simple tasks, but more advanced tasks may require more research

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowed me the ability to focus on more important tasks by removing the need to follow up on the simpler ones

  ### 38. great service to simplify some small things

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Polina F. | Business Owner, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

It has enough integrations with services, as well as apps for every platform, so it can be used between devices which is very convenient.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Some integrations are weak, for example, creating a card in Trello doesn't allow line breaks in a description of the card.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Try to research which integrations they have and search for useful applets for you or your business tasks.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating some small business routines, like creating repeating tasks in Trello, syncing screenshots on a phone with Evernote

  ### 39. Absolute Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I love that I can connect my social media platforms, website, and email funnel seamlessly. It saves me loads of time. Every time I create one piece of content, IFTTT sends it to all of my platforms at once.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I wish I could create more custom actions instead of just choose from the library.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

I recommend you make sure your website, email server, and other common apps are represented on IFTTT before going through the trouble of signing up and connecting all of your accounts. Most services are represented, so you should be fine.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me stay on top of social media platforms that I would otherwise neglect. I hate Twitter and never log in because it drains my energy. But IFTTT makes sure I'm posting regularly with my own content and curated content.

  ### 40. World's Digital Worker

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly A. | Specialist Marketing, Writing and Editing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

The best thing about IFTTT is that they offer a marketplace of automation. You can always be sure that the toggle's are legit by the verification mark of companies. For example, for one of my clients we utilize the youtube to tumblr tool, so when ever we make a post on our youtube, it will automatically upload to Tumblr. It isn't just for business, I use it personally with some home automation apps around my house, to set specific details on times and other aspects of this.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I wish they had the option to have people request different tools, but they are still very good.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Make sure you have a reason to use it, without having any prior idea about what you want to get from it.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation for sure. The biggest issue I see a lot of people having is updating across their website, social media's etc... and it allows me to publish at once and it go's across all of their Chanels.

  ### 41. Streamlines my online sharing workflow considerably

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ceta M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I use this primarily to automatically repost anything I put up on Instagram to my Facebook business page. It saves me a lot of time as it would take me twice as long to go back and add everything I had already put up on Instagram to my Facebook page but IFTTT allows me to do it automatically.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Not all the applets work the way they're supposed to and sometimes the one I've chosen has not been updated and I will have to choose another one. I haven't gotten too much downtime from this though, so it's really not that big a deal. The pros far outweigh the cons as far as I am concerned.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

There are lots and lots of applets that can help you but even if you only choose one or two it can make a major difference in your work life.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to streamline my social media posting workflow allowing me to spend more time interacting with potential customers and less time fussing over getting my content posted to different networks.

  ### 42. Makes my life easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahura Z. D. | Owner/Headmaster, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I have business accounts with Facebook, Instagram and Etsy so it can get pretty tedious reposting the same content to each platform, especially when working on a phone! My most used applet is one that takes whatever I have posted to my Instagram account and automatically reposts it to my Facebook business page, cutting my workload for reposts in half.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Nothing. I love this platform, it is immensely valuable to me and my business.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Even if you only find one applet that is useful it is worth checking out this extremely valuable platform!

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to cut my workflow in half when it comes to posting on social media, allowing me to reach a wider audience more quickly and giving me time to focus on other necessary business tasks without spending all day on my phone uploading and posting to various sites.

  ### 43. Simple automation for a variety of devices

**Reviewed by:** Steve C. | Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

Creating google voice commands using IFTTT allows for incredibly fun automation.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I wish there was a way to link one command to multiple "thats" or include some filters so that "this" commands could be limited by time of day or only if another this is true.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create simple routines and automation for controlling my devices.

  ### 44. The Best Kept Secret for all!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

IFTTT allows you to connect all of your devices in one. Social media platforms, to home security, and more! I love that i can connect things together to better maximize my time for business and personal. The best part is it is free! This helps if you are just starting in social media management and don't want to commit to a larger platform. This saves so much time for so many things. You can even have IFTTT text you the weather or news reports every morning! I could honestly spend hours looking through the applets. Additionally, the community made applets help you think of what you may need.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I havent found anything to dislike about IFTTT. Every applet works well and helps me stay on track!

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

GET IT!!!! it is the most useful tool i use hands down. it doesnt take much to learn how to use either. it is very user friendly! anyone can benefit from this whether for personal or professional business uses.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social media management, time saving, time management.

  ### 45. Neat solution

**Reviewed by:** Kristi R. | Academic Tutor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

This allows you to set up reactions for certain things. Notifications for bad weather or Bill signings all the way to getting a text if I get a certain email.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

It can clog your email pdq with certain ifttt options

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me automatically keep track of certain things I would otherwise have to take time to look up

  ### 46. Automate the boring stuff

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate J. | Growth Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I've probably gotten back 2 hours a day from the triggers I have set up on the platform, and in a lot of ways just made a more streamlined workflow. Community-sourced triggers help you think of additional possibilities. For a free service, it's fantastic, and really don't think you could ask for more. The service channels are wide and varied and suit both personal and professional life.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

As great as the community sourcing is, sometimes it can really distract you from what you came there to do.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Take some time to explore - and then the next time you find yourself doing a repetitive digital task - pop back into IFTT and see the different ways that you can automate it!

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating social media work, creating reminders and triggers off of emails, and auto scheduling calendar events - exactly when I need them. It creates more space to focus on the things that really matter and can have a great impact on your day.

  ### 47. A wonderful and efficient way to connect web services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco S. | Titolare, progettista, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

Everybody in these days relies on multiple web services: Gmail, Google Docs, Evernote, the stock iOS or Android apps, and all these pretty devices connected in the Internet of Things ... What IFTTT does is linking them together, through a system of applets made by the user in a very simple way (no need for programming, it's really, really intuitive). As an example, IFTTT could automatically send a completed iOS reminder to a Google Calendar, to keep track of its completion, or turn off the home lights when your phone is at a given distance form home... The possibilities are endless.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

The free version has a certain lag in some cases, and one should beware about critical tasks since they could for some reason fail. But in general the system is robust and does its tasks well. Sometimes you may wish some other service. They are added over time, try to pull a request.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

If you subscribed to several web services, use IFTTT to connect them all and reach a whole new level of integration and synergy.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As everybody, we use multiple web services, and connecting them is extremely useful. As an example we used IFTTT to keep track of the wether during a year, just telling the system to log the data in a google sheet.

  ### 48. Very powerful yet simple to use platform for smart home owners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darien C. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I absolutely love the simplicity that IFTTT provides to both people who love tech, and those who struggle with using tech. Setting up an account and connecting apps has never been easier, nor has setting up applets and commands using the multitude of different options available. There is definitely a bit of foreknowledge required to build your own applets, however there are numerous pre-made applets available that are easy to copy and recreate on your own.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

I definitely miss multi-step applets, similar to those that can be run on competitors, such as Zapier. Also, while there are numerous integrations available, it would be beneficial to see those increase, and to see the existant ones receive further functions (such as Android device; the ability to play a playlist, connect to a google cast device; Google Calendar integrations that go into further detail, like on Zapier)

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

Definitely is an automation program that I would recommend looking into because of it's ease of use and powerful integrations. The numerous app integrations and built-in functions for each integration make the platform a one-stop shop for most integrations, and the pricing (free!) makes it an easy choice to make over other competing apps.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Full disclosure; I use IFTTT mostly for home automation and smart home controls benefiting from the Google Assistant integration, however I have found IFTTT simplifies daily tasks like tracking work hours and automatically muting my phone during work hours; as well as simplifying Google Calendar events creation & integrating seamlessly with the Google Assistant to help create to-do lists, meetings, contacts, and more.

  ### 49. IFTTT is a helpful do-it-all app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim R. | Professional Pet Sitter, Consumer Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I like how easy it is to use IFTTT to create applets that automatically run that I use to distribute my social media posts over the different social networks I use.

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

There really isn't anything that I dislike with IFTTT, at least for what I use it for.

**Recommendations to others considering IFTTT:**

I use IFTTT to do social marketing across the many different social networking platforms I use to get the word out about my business. After creating several different applets on IFTTT, I now only need to post my content on one social media platform, such as Facebook, and the same posting will appear on Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, & more. IFTTT also has many other uses in addition to helping you streamline your social media content postings, but I'm not yet familiar with those aspects of this software.

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFTTT has made it so easy to post to my business' social media networks! My creating several different applets (quick and easy to do) I am able to post on one of my social media accounts and have that content appear quickly on all of them. It is so easy to reach my customer's with new social media content using IFTTT.

  ### 50. Make your life much more efficient with IFTTT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Postdoctoral Research Assistant, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about IFTTT?**

I love the shortcuts this creates. I use a lot of social media apps and having the ability to post on one and then it link to others it works well. Also the ability to automatically backup or move photos to the cloud storage is particularly useful!

**What do you dislike about IFTTT?**

Not everything is supported, and I get envious of the many new technological advances that I don't yet have when I see them listed in the applet!

**What problems is IFTTT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making backing up precious photos etc more efficient, and making my social media posts more streamlined
