I like that with Epic more of the patient information is integrated in one place and that has improved patient care because we have access to more information and more recent information as opposed to needing to request a bunch of records separately. This has improved our workflow and allowed us to provide more comprehensive care to patients because we have more information. I also like that with epic the patient can see their results and their charts which can ease their mind when it comes to concerns and can help them be able to provide info to specialists/loved ones. I dislike the version of epic that our company is using. While it is nice that patients can see their charts, sometimes it is not a good thing because some results can appear to be very concerning when in reality the medical terminology used in the results is just scary and not that serious. I also dislike that in epic there are many ways to do one thing and that has caused confusion with training and with learning information for staff. It would be nice if it was as user friendly as the other version of epic the hospitals in our city use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using Epic, I was able to see all the information when it comes to patient records. It also provides good management of patient medications and prescriptions, and it gives me the opportunity to also verify insurance eligibility while scheduling.

All that I need is in EPIC, I can also see patient referral and faxed them using EPIC.

One thing I don’t really love is that, at times, the platform can feel a bit overwhelming for new users because there are so many features and navigation options.
