  ### 1. Intuitive, Robust, and Great Value—Caspio provides huge value in the application space!

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

Nothing has changed in my enjoyment of the tool, but I will go into more detail about my three favorite things. First, not all tools in this category have strong database management, and Caspio does. You can build tables from scratch or import them, and you can connect tables via keys and enforce referential integrity. Secondly, you can build asynchronous tasks that can be run on a schedule on demand and this allows a skilled user to build robust systems. Finally, Caspio Bridge and Flex allow the user to build triggered actions that happen when a record is stored, updated, or deleted on a given table, enabling dependent tables to be updated appropriately. I have used this to greatly reduce multi-step data entry work for my clients, giving them more time to work on priority items.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

There was a typo in my first review -- I am NOW using Caspio Flex. I love both products, but the ability to use Caspio to deploy and host with Flex is a huge improvement and efficiency!

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consultant for nonprofits, in particular, most of the traditional case management software has become very expensive (and the marketplace has consolidated so options are limited). While organizations still need to pay for the initial lift of building a system, their ongoing annualized costs to maintain it and even extend it are much lower with Caspio. I've also been able to easily train their staff to do most of the maintenance and extension functions.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

I’ve been using Caspio since 2021, and my apps have been super solid, running smoothly from day one without any kind of problems. I really like the freedom it gives me to build my ideas on my own, and overall everything feels intuitive and easy to use.

Support is also a strong point. There are several options depending on what you need: online chat while you’re building your app, a support ticket center for technical questions, and the ability to contact your customer manager for bigger issues. In every case, you end up working with highly skilled professionals.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

Sometimes I would like that the plan I am subscribed to had a higher average of records per datapage. But I have been able to make it work nevertheless. I am sad that they will stop supporting mdb aacdb files.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I commercialize my own ERP software. Although my client list is growing, I still have a limited budget, so I can’t always hire coders when clients ask for additional tools to process information from my ERP. With Caspio, I’m able to build those apps myself as soon as these requests come in.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

I love how Caspio allowed me to identify all the components and data we need for planning and execution simply, efficiently, and quickly. The ability to record tasks in real time and have plant details readily available in the field has saved my team time and improved decision-making. I really appreciate the 'relationship' builder, as it allowed me to identify and link all the relevant connections without templates. This, combined with the data pages, became a powerful tool for us and helped in designing and launching applications that are easy and relevant for the team to understand and use. The initial setup was quite fast and easy to learn. I've been promoting Caspio at a level 10, which speaks to how much I value it.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

I guess the part that would have assisted me most would have been to understand indexing in terms of our needs. This took some time for me because I had no programming background.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

Powerful and robust low-code development tool, for experienced and not so experienced users. The onboarding was easy. The Caspio helpdesk helped us a lot: fast, customer friendly and in a way that is directly aplicable in our applications.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

For a low-code tool the formating functions for webpages are quite basic. That meant that for our applications we often had to write/edit htms/css. Thanks to the helpdesk this wasn't that big of a hurtle. The UX is not the most modern and takes a little time to get used to, but afterwards it maken fast working possible.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It functions as our core database for business/clients and kandidates. Furthermore: the ux for business/clients and kandidate has been developed with Caspio - they interact directly with the database via Caspio. The database and application have proved to be very reliable.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

I like everything about Caspio because it is a solution that facilitates the agile construction of applications that help manage the company's operations. Development takes time, but Caspio makes it light and simple. Caspio's low-code development aids are easy to understand and improve time without sacrificing the robustness of an application. Additionally, the security available for the applications makes it very strong. The information is centralized and controlled, always available and protected thanks to information security management. The application developed in Caspio is the foundation of our processes, interacting in real-time and improving response times.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

The improvement can be in more applicable 2FA schemes for bridge developments. It is also important to manage images in forms, so that inserting images into the HTML of the datapage is more user-friendly. Currently, an image must be inserted via an external link, and it would be interesting if the platform itself allowed saving the image in the Caspio account and managing it from there to insert it into the datapage.

With Caspio, I have centralized and secure information, always available, improving response times with real-time processes.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

I use Caspio for building products for my customers, particularly for cloud collaboration solutions. I like that Caspio makes development fast and easy, and I don't have to worry about managing the infrastructure, which helps me avoid a ton of complexity and cost as a startup founder - particularly in the early stages. I like the ability to deliver solutions quickly. Their forum/community and video library are also useful. Even though the community isn't massive, there are active folks, and I often find people working on problems similar to mine, which leads to lessons learned or fast fixes. Getting started with Caspio is easy, so I could get things done quickly, and with experience I've found some better ways to be more productive.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

Version control and release management aren't bad, but could be stronger. Ability to get more granular change reporting and comparisons between environments. Improvement in the tools to move code / objects between environments.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Caspio makes development fast and easy for me, without the hassle of managing infrastructure. It enables rapid solution delivery and has a useful community and video library for learning and problem-solving.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

It's a low-code platform that allows anyone to create interactive reports/views with minimal knowledge. It's easy to use and there is a robust resource and training area that gives me the tools needed to grow within the platform.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

There is a LOT of information and ability within Caspio, and sometimes it can be overwhelming with the number of possibilities. The user interface just received an upgrade which is helpful, but the data can sometimes be finicky directly in the data tables.

We were also surprised with a 10% cost increase only one month before our contract renewal, which was unanticipated and problematic for budgeting.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to take tables of data that were previously only available in pdf reports and turned them into interactive, searchable, and up-to-date sources that our users can now pull specific information out of using a simple search. Previously, users would have had to collect this data, clean it, and sort it on their own but we have taken care of this process within Caspio with success.

We've also used Caspio for basic form submissions.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

I like the solidity that Caspio has and that, in one tool, it integrates databases, page development, and user access control. I can have the database design, the web page design based on the defined templates, and assign specific users to specific pages of the database based on their role, which I define. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy and when I had any questions, Caspio's support worked very well.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

Caspio allows inserting HTML code, but that code has no standard and is completely arbitrary. It is a flexibility, but at the same time, it is an inconvenience for maintenance.

It allows me to quickly and efficiently develop complete applications for different clients.

As an admin. who did not help build the site, it is very difficult to change or add features. Caspio support is great but they want YOU to do all the changes and for someone with no programming/coding background it can be time consuming.

It was a little difficult to know where to start in the beginning but the Jumpstart program was very helpful for this.

We have been using SharePoint for our data and this has been difficult. Caspio will give us a true database and the ability to pull reports as well.

I really like the no-code aspect. It’s easy to create the database structure and set up relationships, and the Triggered Actions feature is especially useful. Customer Support has also been great.

It’s missing a Time field. There are also limitations when working with nested TA, and the CSS file code doesn’t feel modern.

Caspio allowed us to quickly develop an order processing system, including completeness checks, data validation and workflow/queue management.  This allowed us to replace a 3rd party vendor, saving us money

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

The no-code or low-code software is straightforward to learn and use.  I had a basic database up and running in a matter of days.  For more complex features, I have had great success in asking the Caspio help team for code, formulas, or other ideas, as well as finding plenty of instructional videos to help answer my questions.
Our Customer Success Manager is always available to assist with ideas, platform updates, and any other needs we may have over the years.
There are numerous database solutions available.  In my opinion, what makes Caspio stand out is its availability.  They are always there and happy to help with any issue.  Their customer service is top-notch!

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

I hate to say that I dislike anything about Caspio.  However, where there could be some improvement is in the knowledge base. The more advanced features can be challenging to understand.  Some knowledge of coding may be required to utilize the software entirely.  Caspio has an extensive library of help articles and videos, which have been particularly helpful.
If Caspio could add videos specific to Triggered actions and Tasks, it would be very appreciated.  As a user becomes more advanced, these advanced topics become increasingly challenging to find.

**Recommendations to others considering Caspio:**

I highly recommend you watch the youtube videos to learn best practices when setting up a database for the first time.  It is much easier to work from a clearly mapped out plan than to change things later.  Caspio support is EXTREMELY helpful in answering questions and getting things to work the way you want them to.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We currently use Caspio to track all of the grants we give out.  It has truly taken us to the next level in being able to analyze our giving and make clear decisions about future grants. We also have an application that tracks all of the company assets.  This has been a game-changer in helping keep track of things and minimize wasteful spending.
There are two to three more applications in the initial planning phase all of which will contribute to increasing our efficiency.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

Caspio is the ultimate application design platform for anyone who loves a true “sandbox” experience. It’s incredibly user-friendly and allows you to build basic databases, queries, and reports in minutes. But where Caspio really shines is in its flexibility: it’s not a linear program, so there are infinite ways to approach and solve a challenge. This freedom lets you tailor your builds exactly to your needs.

I’ve used Caspio daily for over 10 years and have yet to encounter a database problem I couldn’t solve with it. Sometimes the solution requires creative, out-of-the-box thinking, but that’s exactly what makes Caspio so powerful and keeps me loyal to the platform. Other database tools I've tried tend to feel rigid and overly guided, but Caspio gives me the control to always design a solution, whatever the problem may be.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

Caspio offers two frameworks: the original Bridge framework and the newer Flex framework. Bridge is incredibly powerful and flexible, but its public-facing interface feels a bit dated and clunky. Over the years, I’ve built beautiful custom interfaces with Bridge, but it required significant effort and creativity to get there.

Flex, on the other hand, provides a modern, sleek, and intuitive interface that dramatically speeds up development. However, in its current state, Flex doesn’t yet match the depth and power of Bridge. Caspio is releasing frequent updates for Flex, and I’m already starting to migrate projects over because of how much faster it makes the build process. That said, integrating Bridge apps into Flex works fairly well, but the two interfaces don’t always align perfectly.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This might sound dramatic, but my business would be a fraction of what it is today without Caspio. I originally purchased it to manage customer data, but I quickly realized I could also build beautiful reports and dynamic queries to embed on our public website. Over time, I developed robust analytics tools around our workforce, which became a cornerstone of our operations. These tools became a key reason our organization secured numerous grants , which led to  rapid growth.

 As part of our grant requirements, we have to undergo a single federal audit each year.  I built a grant management platform in Caspio that integrated with our accounting software and customer databases, so the auditors could run virtually any report they wanted, and cross check it against our financial and grant reports.  At first the auditor's kind of laughed at me during the first interview for our initial audit because they are used to using really sophisticated accounting software's. At the end of our audit, they came back and said it was the smoothest first audit they had ever done, and said everyone at their firm had been studying our setup.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

We chose Caspio after planning our forms in Excel, and transferring the structure over was relatively smooth—especially with the help of Caspio’s excellent technical support. The individual training sessions were incredibly helpful during the setup phase and made the learning curve more manageable, even for someone who hadn’t done any coding in a while.

Writing formulas and displaying information was fairly straightforward when working with simple variables. However, more complex formulas tended to throw errors more easily, which required trial and error or additional help to resolve.

Uploading spreadsheets from Excel into the platform was seamless. That said, updating or maintaining those sheets later on was a bit trickier and less intuitive.

One of the big wins for us was embedding our form directly on our website—it worked without any trouble. Our sales team uses this form daily, and it’s become an essential part of their workflow.

One highlight was successfully building a user interface for login and password access. Caspio provided the flexibility and tools we needed to make that work securely and effectively.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

One major drawback has been the training resources. While the individual training sessions themselves are informative and helpful, I was disappointed that there’s no option to download the individual sessions for offline reference. Even more frustrating, the links to those sessions were removed after some time, making it difficult to revisit key content when I needed a refresher. For a platform that emphasizes learning and user empowerment, this felt like a missed opportunity.

Using Caspio’s tools, we pulled data from tables to automatically generate a two-page document for each type of HVAC unit. These documents included both pictures and detailed technical information formatted in a way that was clear and professional. This was incredibly useful for internal reference and external communication with clients.

Caspio is a complete low code development platform. It allows teams to build out the frontend and backend. Regardless the data tier/database needs to be fleshed out with more industry features e.g. expand their use of their querying language, flesh out support for list strings, flesh out integration of logs etc.

Caspio has enabled our tiny not for profit to migrate from manual spreadsheet to a more automated, multi-channel web solution, complete with reporting. Our tiny not for profit manages the booking of adult students into adult religious courses and accomodation. Caspio has enabled us the rapid delivery of a website that can be accessed by any device that supports HTML. The website allows students to make bookings and access source materials.

We have purchased Caspio on behalf of two government clients, and we have a separate account for internal use. We use Caspio to manage complex workflows between case management agencies, providers, provider agencies, and state government agencies. We have been able to develop workflows that combine existing government data with information from respondents, with a fast start up, flexible implementation (easy to change or add to quickly), and with the new Flex platform, a visually pleasing layout without needing a separate website. Two critical factors for our selection of Caspio were (1) the ability to have HIPAA level security and (2) the fact that you do not pay by user.  We are running applications with lots of different users interacting with the same data sources.  In one case, the agency went with Caspio over Salesforce because it was prohibitively expensive to add many more outside users.  In the other case, Caspio is replacing clunky Excels.  We also use Caspio for surveys, document reviews, and performance reviews.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

Although by and large you don't need to know coding, there is a learning curve to understand how to implement it. The new Flex platform has a lot of advantages, but does not yet have all the features of the earlier Bridge platform.  (We are implementing apps that use parts of both.)  The help desk has been helpful in navigating some of the thornier issues, and there is also a community discussion board that helps.

Managing workflow and oversight in systems of care that involve parties inside and outside of government, allowing communication between insiders and outsiders at multiple levels, and improving the data and reporting for publicly funded services.

I was searching for a relational database platform that would be similar to the old Microsoft Access.  When I found Caspio, I found that it is very easy to learn, is similar to Access in the functionality and is so easy to launch the apps.  I love the ability to embed datapages in my website for easier access by my clients.  I am very happy with this platform!  When I have had issues figuring out how to use a feature, the customer support has been amazingly helpful.  I currently serve 3 clients with this platform, and I hope to continue using it more.

The only downside I can think of is some of the features are a little difficult to find, and the tutorial videos are sometimes not very easy to find.

It has a good amount of capabilities without overloading a creator with too many complexities.  It is not an overly complex system but still allows the creator to create some complex applications.
The pricing is good as well.  We have created many applications that would have taken much longer in more advanced systems.
The table triggers allow for advanced table manipulation that really make an application powerful.

Would like more integration with the external systems however that does add to complexity for the creator.  Also the ability to bind multiple screens within the UI rather than writing Javascript to handle the binding.

Find out what Caspio does before using it.  It is not a replacement for all development but for what it does it is very good at its job.

In 2018, I started using Caspio. I knew nothing about coding back then. My way of keeping track of things was with note cards, a yellow pad, a wooden pencil, and a calculator. When I was looking online for more pencils and pads, I found Caspio. They said they could help me without needing to know coding. Although I was used to using Excel and not coding, I called Caspio and talked to Ned, who works there. He jokingly told me to break my pencil in half. Making my first simple databases and pages felt great. My workers were really impressed with what I had done. They like using the Caspio pages because it makes their work easier. I haven't told them that I'm using a tool that doesn't require much coding; they think I'm a very skilled developer. My wife can even recognize Ned's voice when I'm watching his videos late at night. I really like Caspio and feel like a top-level developer in my mind.

I would appreciate it if Ned could spend more time going over HTML and CSS with us. I would like Ned to demonstrate how to use AI (Claude Sonnet) to add coding and CSS to the datapages. I find it difficult to communicate with Claude and then implement the changes on the datapage. Additionally, it would be beneficial if the support staff could be available for a longer period online to assist me. Simply sending me documents to read is not helpful when I have already reviewed them, which is why I am seeking further assistance.

I was able to create a robust embroidery pricelist by using tables, data, and SQL.  Embroidery pricing is tricky since we have to give quantity discounts, price of the garment and the amount of stitches in the logo.

Allison Seaver has been the reason we have been able to stay with Caspio. We love the Caspio platform and have for years. When our business suffered from the COVID virus and our health system customers also suffered from there own economic challenges, both Allison Seaver and  Caspio stepped up multiple times. They showed us  what it means to be a partner and because of it, we will soon be growing our business  with them far larger then ever before. 
Our Caspio  platform has never gone down and has  been extremely user friendly to customize applications. I personally appreciate the respect healthsystems have with Caspio's HIPPA  compliant platform, which has been a tremendous advantage dealing with IT departments. When you add those benefits along with the people, I can't imagine going with any other company.

I have a pretty broad background in software development (40 years). What I didn't have was the current skills to work and develop in a web-based environment, so I knew I couldn't develop on my own. Caspio was the perfect marriage for me. Using their framework, technology, and solution approach of No-code/Low-code, I was able to meet my goals and objectives and hit the ground running! I took my knowledge of data, databases, and SQL, and easily constructed my application foundation. In some applications this would have been time consuming. In Caspio, I was able to import my tables from my prototype, configure a few fields and was off and running. By day three I was building interfaces. They came together quickly because my foundation (my data structure) was in place. 

I don't know what the average sized application is within Caspio, but I do know that my application is considered large and complex. As of today, I have 95 tables and 114 data pages. 

Within a couple of weeks I could zip around the various aspects of the product, identifing what needed to be modified. If I got stuck, Caspio has one of the best communities I have ever worked with on any product I have ever used. It's called the Forum. You can search and usually find what you're looking for. If not, then post a question and within hours and up to maybe a day, someone will respond. Even now I go to the Forum. But better than that, they have a Customer Service team that actually answers right away! And usually provides an answer within the hour. You don't get this level of service with other application provider.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

1.  You cannot iteratively save your work. When you save your datapage it immediately goes live whether you are ready for it or not. If you have a change that spans multiple pages, you may break your application.

2.  There isn't a clean way to color code numbers or values. I have found ways to do it (sometimes within the confines of the datapage: virtual field), but when virtual fields are not available, then coding must be used, and depending on the type of datapage, different coding is required. Most of my custom code supports coding for negative numbers).

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My business is MyDietMadeReal.com.  It is a new approach to supporting the nutrient and nutritional requirements for individuals with Dietary conditions like Diabetes, Kidney Disease, Hypertension, to name a few. I needed a solution that could primarily do two things: 1) Handle large amounts of data (our Foods table has over a million records in it) and 2) Render the data dynamically based on a user's profile, conditions, and diet quickly in real time. All without the Member knowing the complexity of what is happening behind the scene.

Caspio does this.

And they do this extreemly well.

The resource based plan instead of the user one. How is easy and fast to make a prototipte really no-coding.At the same time it provide api and allow JavaScript to customize details. Thire solid improvement and update effort on the platform.

We do not like their approach to fine authorization, but they made more affordable with last releases. Some limits on triggers that make hard if you need to implement complex business logic.

It is amazing how fast is from discussing requirements with customer to show them a pilot. We reduced this time from weeks to (few) days. We improved a lot our response to customer's needs.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

Caspio provides a great environment that combines a user friendly relational database system, with web forms you can easily set up with pre-made templates, and gives you the ability to automate tasks by building scripts (tasks) and triggered actions with their low-code interface. I have very limited experience in coding and I was able to build a solution to my first problem in a few hours. Then, given the success of my first application, now we have built other applications that have simplified my team's day-by-day operations and even other teams have asked us to build solutions for them.

I was able to build my own custom-made solution at a very small fraction the cost (yearly) that an external vendor quoted to my company for a similar custom-made solution.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

While Caspio's built-in templates are great and we're normally ok to go with them, sometimes we'd like to customize views a bit and the interface for customizing/localizing information can get a bit overwhelming. Still, the solution is highly customizable.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Caspio allowed us to automate a few business processes by giving our client direct access to the information they need through a web form. Caspio's database, tasks and triggered actions allow us to have our data organized and updated. Our application have significantly reduced the workload in my team (and 2 others)  and converted on of our most time-consuming tasks into something we don't even think about regularly.

You are able to hit the ground running with this product. There are incredible videos, tutorials, and other online resources that cover nearly everything you could possible need. And when you can't find the video/tutorial to answer your question... Caspio's incredible Customer Service team is there for you. You're assigned a customer representative the minute you joion and they truly are their to ensure your success. Samanta was our Customer Rep and she was absolutley best in class.

It is not as simple as "uploading your excel spreadsheet". But once you go through the tutorials and lean on your customer representavite... they will get you set up.

Caspio has helped us turn a very detailed Excel spreadsheet and calculations into an easy to use and read web form.

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

Caspio is a relatively easy and quick way to build low-code applications that are accessible online. It enabled our company to go fully remote with no computer hardware to purchase or maintain. When we examined different tools to do this, Caspio came out above the others.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

You have to take the no-code claim with a grain of salt. While creating a simple data entry screen with no code is possible, it is not practical to expect to create an application to serve your business without some Java script for data verification, formatting, etc.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We converted our legacy remote access server system and DBMS, which took years to develop and implement with Caspio in approximately 6-8 months. After a couple of months of working with the new Casio system, we could go fully remote and not renew our lease for office space. Our going fully remote was well before the pandemic, so we didn't have any of the issues many companies had.

Caspio is continuously improving, however, some of its backend admin pages could be slightly more up to date to make full use of modern screen sizes

I would say give it a go and find out for yourself how useful and easy they have made it to make stable, powerful web-based applications. I've tried other providers and they couldn't compete with Caspio that is why I have been using their platform for so many years

I have been using Caspio for almost 10 years and have used it to solve lots of business application challenges such CSU portals, Planning Tools, Continuous Improvement Apps, Surveys, and Customer facing Operational data portals. Our largest application project now has circa 150 datapages and 116 distributed users

**What do you like best about Caspio?**

We were able to build a very feature-rich website that allows those in our industry to easily search, review and update a member directory easily. The Caspio platform made it easy to quickly add and enhance that functionality based on feedback from our users.

Since then, we have built several apps for internal staff use, to enhance their ability to find member records and organization records. We're using Tray.io as an integration tool to automatically sync our main CRM database to Caspio on a regular basis. That's working well too.

The training resources, articles and community forums have been excellent for learning the platform. It's rare for me to not figure out a way to accomplish what I need in Caspio.

**What do you dislike about Caspio?**

I'd love the ability to schedule an export in Google sheet format. Currently, I can only export in Excel, Access, CSV or XML format.

**What problems is Caspio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to create a directory of people that could be publicly accessible, but we also needed to allow authorized users to have the ability to edit and update that directory. We were able to do this with Caspio.
