Symantec EDR is a complete endpoint solution that detects each anomaly happening at endpoint whether it is a workstation, server or any endpoint.

Symantec EDR has various modules including anti virus , there is HIPS( host intrusion prevention solution) that detects and respond to threat trying to evvade any endpoint. It detect each and every process and network connections made by endpoint.

Antivirus solution detect and clean any malware,virus or trojan , scanned each binaries executed on system.

There is ATP too in Symantec EDR that is advanced threat protection which allows us to blacklist IOCs in advance.

The best thing is that this edr not just detect but also respond/ block threat.

There is nothing as such I dislike yet about Symantec but yes now a days we are having a lot of EDR in market.
