Joseph Szala, Partner & VP of Digital Experience is one of the most recognized voices in restaurant digital and brand strategy in the country. With over 20 years of experience in the creative field focused on restaurants, Joseph is a regular contributor to Nation's Restaurant News and Restaurant Hospitality, a sought-after speaker, and the author of The Bullhearted Brand: Building Bullish Restaurant Brands That Charge Ahead of the Herd. He brings not just design and UX leadership to 3Owl, but a genuine strategic point of view on how restaurant brands can win digitally.
The Team
3Owl's 25-person senior-level team is built from the restaurant and hospitality tech world — not retrofitted from it. Our design team includes alumni from Koala and ezCater, bringing direct experience building digital products at scale for the food and hospitality space. Our broader leadership team carries brand-side experience from PF Chang's, FAT Brands, and Craveworthy Brands, meaning we understand the internal dynamics, constraints, and priorities of multi-unit operators — because we've lived them.
Our development partnerships extend to Romania, where our engineering team collaborates closely with U.S. leadership to deliver technically sophisticated, performant digital products.
