
The tool is very easy to use. The dashboard is well designed, so each user can clearly see their upcoming time off, as well as the time off scheduled for other colleagues. The level of customization is very granular, so you can choose exactly what each individual sees.
I also really like the approval setup. The ability to set individual or multiple approvers—and even have different approvers for different time-off policies—is amazing. One of the best features is the Recipes, which is basically an IF THIS THEN THAT concept. You can create custom recipes that get triggered and perform tasks, such as sending automatic emails when a certain type of leave is requested.
The APIs are available as well. We were able to use the API to build a custom widget for internal purposes to show who is out of the office and when they are due to return. I’ve been using it for over 5 years, and it just keeps getting better. It started off as CAKEHR, but with the acquisition of SAGE, the improvements have been even better.

The mobile app is somewhat limiting in terms of the experience you get compared with the web version. On mobile, you can get the bare minimum done, like requesting or approving leave, but for anything beyond that you’ll need to use the web experience.
