What is the best SaaS backup software for enterprises protecting leading CRM platforms and sensitive cloud data?

Hi G2 community, I’m researching the best SaaS backup software for enterprises protecting major CRM platforms and sensitive cloud data. The challenge is finding tools that go beyond basic backup and give large teams granular recovery, security controls, and coverage across business-critical SaaS apps.

I checked the G2 Grid report for SaaS Backup and focused on reviews from organizations with 1,000+ employees. Three options stood out most clearly:

Salesforce Backup & Recover: Enterprise reviewers highlight granular Salesforce restores, version comparisons, audit visibility, and protection against accidental changes.
Druva Data Security Cloud: Large-company users mention immutable protection, centralized cloud management, Office 365 backup, and straightforward restores.
AvePoint Confidence Platform: Enterprise reviews point to Microsoft 365 protection, granular recovery, governance, compliance, and broader cloud security controls.

Two others I’d keep on the shortlist:

HYCU: Reviewers value coverage across SaaS and cloud apps such as Jira, Okta, GitHub, and Microsoft 365.
Rubrik: Enterprise users mention centralized protection, cloud workloads, identity security, and cyber-recovery use cases.

For enterprises protecting CRM and other sensitive SaaS data, is broad application coverage more important than deeper recovery controls for one critical platform? And for Salesforce specifically, have you found native backup enough, or do you prefer a broader data-protection platform?

Something this thread hasn't touched on is how often people actually test a restore rather than just trusting the backup ran. Is anyone doing scheduled restore drills on Salesforce data specifically, or does that only get tested after something's already gone wrong?
