Wimba Create feels too old to be useful, but has its positive elements

The idea of creating a word document and then it becoming something more interactive is a beneficial concept. People who are fearful of creating on the web will find peace in the idea of just making a word document, and it will magically become an interactive element on the web. The older generation may find this beneficial and "safe". However, there are much better apps and sites that do more with far-reaching possibilities than this. But then again, free is good too!

Still being used?

I'm shocked that this one is being asked to be reviewed, as I know that Blackboard purchased it...anyhoo! I like that if offered student collaboration and a workplace to meet if in an online course! But now isn't it Blackboard Collaborate?

Decent Product but you'll need someone to teach you how to use it...

I like that one can work with the papers online and not have to download them. There is a few items that are useful in this grading process.

What is Wimba?

Wimba was a software company that offered web-based collaboration solutions primarily aimed at the education sector. Its tools focused on enhancing online learning and collaboration through features like virtual classrooms, voice messaging, and content authoring, facilitating interaction between educators and students. The platform was commonly used for webinars, live classes, and other educational applications. Wimba was acquired by Blackboard Inc. in 2010, which integrated its technologies into Blackboard Collaborate. Therefore, the Wimba brand and its standalone services are no longer available, and the original website may no longer be active.
