OnBoard has been an outstanding board management solution for us, combining powerful functionality with an intuitive, easy‑to‑learn interface that our directors actually enjoy using. It centralizes agendas, board books, voting, minutes, and secure messaging in one place, which has simplified preparation and kept our communication focused and organized. Even board members who are not especially comfortable with technology adopted OnBoard quickly, and they now rely on it as their primary way to access materials, stay informed, and participate fully in board work.

UI/UX: The board book builder is the thing I'd fight to keep. We used to chase down attachments from a bunch of departments, merge PDFs, then resend the whole packet anytime something changed. Now I build the agenda, attach files to each item, and updates just push out. Saves me most of a day every meeting cycle. Our board members range from very tech savvy to not at all, and even the ones I figured would want paper log in and show up prepared. We don't print packets anymore. Integrations: Zoom integration ended up being bigger than I expected. One link inside the platform, and the Zoom AI summaries have sped up our meeting recaps a lot. Stuff that took days to get out to internal teams and the board now goes out fast. Really helpful for committee meetings where there are a lot of assignments to track. We also turned on the Microsoft 365 integration so Word and Excel docs get edited right in OnBoard and save back automatically, which cut out a lot of download/edit/reupload. Performance: No real complaints. Big board books load fine and it hasn't gone down on a meeting day yet. Pricing/ROI: It's not cheap but it pays for itself in staff time. Add in what we used to spend on printing and it's an easy case. Support/Onboarding: Admin side takes a while to learn, permissions and resources especially. Rolling it out to board members was easy though. AI/Intelligence: We have the Intelligent Assistant turned on for document summaries and asking questions of board materials. Still early for us. Honestly the Zoom meeting summaries through the integration have been the bigger AI win so far.

OnBoard is very easy to navigate, and it’s simple to move between features. The onboarding process was smooth; I was able to complete OnBoard Academy and set up our Board Management System exactly the way I wanted. The help and feedback section is fantastic. Whenever I have a question, I can click on the Help Center and find multiple videos and articles related to the topic. I haven’t used the Calendar or Microsoft integrations yet, so I can’t offer an opinion on those at this time.
