**UPDATE: MINDUP HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE PRODUCT WILL BE SUNSET AND NO LONGER USEABLE**
The app is really clean, with a focus on features that matter to most people. Integration with all the major email/calendar providers worked flawlessly. When you log in to the app, all your meetings are there and ready for notes/minutes/outlines, as the case may be.
Don't know if there were apps like Mindup before, but there sure needed to be, given how critical it is to ensure stuff that's discussed in meetings persisted after the meeting. I am a Professor and have to take multiple classes a day, all of them online in the situation, and was in need of a tool that'd help me associate important points for, and discussed in, a lecture with the lecture and the students I was lecturing. Mindup solved that for me. I use action items to ensure some important concepts and questions do not get missed out. I have created custom templates for my BTech students, MTech students and PhD students respectively, each having agenda items specific to the category of students, and this helps me ensure that I maintain a flow across my interactions with the students. My institution uses Google Workspace, and thus, I can connect my GCal class calendar and it fetches all my class details into Mindup.
Mindup's best use case is that it allows me to create templates for recurring meetings, like my teaching prep sessions, where I go through a fixed agenda. The template saved a lot of time from repeating the same or recalling a lot of the same stuff. I connect it with my Google workspace calendar, so I don't need to worry about checking my calendar for meetings. It also provides options to add assets like my PPT and script docs, so that I can fetch and work on it at the same time.
