## Mindup Reviews
  ### 1. Thoughtful product with a great dev team. **UPDATE: PRODUCT DISCONTINUED**

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian L. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

**UPDATE: MINDUP HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE PRODUCT WILL BE SUNSET AND NO LONGER USEABLE**

The app is really clean, with a focus on features that matter to most people. Integration with all the major email/calendar providers worked flawlessly. When you log in to the app, all your meetings are there and ready for notes/minutes/outlines, as the case may be.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

**UPDATE: MINDUP HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE PRODUCT WILL BE SUNSET AND NO LONGER USEABLE**

The app is still at an early-ish phase of development, so depending on your work flow, there may be some missing pieces that the team will have to build out as you go. The upside of this is that they have a very responsive dev team and are happy to take feedback that will inform their roadmap.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

If you're looking for a simple way to implement meeting minutes or to have more productive meetings, this is a fantastic product to try.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting notes are always a pain point. Mindup does an excellent job of structuring this task. The substantial amount of outline templates makes it easy to find something that will work for any meeting, and the list seems to grow pretty regularly.

  ### 2. Flexible solution for the victims of meetingo-paranoia to stay on top of all their commitments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dushyant P. | Full Stack Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Mindup's best use case is that it allows me to create templates for recurring meetings, like my teaching prep sessions, where I go through a fixed agenda. The template saved a lot of time from repeating the same or recalling a lot of the same stuff. I connect it with my Google workspace calendar, so I don't need to worry about checking my calendar for meetings. It also provides options to add assets like my PPT and script docs, so that I can fetch and work on it at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

I can only connect it to a single G calendar at the moment, whereas I have multiple calendars. I can also not connect my Zoom calendar to it. I can't export my agendas and templates to other places. I can't schedule new meetings from inside Mindup

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Mindup as my go to meeting tool, to ensure my meetings and sessions are well researched and have a consistent agenda that can be informed to all my fellow meeting-mates. I use the checklist to keep track of necessary items for my sessions. It allows me to have everything related to meeting in one place, including the meeting coordinates, so that I don't have to switch between calendar-notes app-powerpoint

  ### 3. Best tool that will help you to stay productive and organize your day

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manoj R. | Freelance Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

The best things I like about mindup are
1) It helps you to have all your meetings, notes, and action items in one place which are organized on your timeline
2) I really like the user experience of mindup which helps me to smoothly navigate and find the information I want from my meetings
3) Mindup stats show how much time I have spent in meetings in comparison to the previous week. This helps me to understand where I spent my time and how can make the best use of it,
4) The pre-built templates that mind up provides helps me save a lot of time and structure my thoughts according to the type of meeting easily

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

Overall Mindup is a really good product that helps me to organize my thoughts and stay productive. But it could improve the onboarding experience of inviting team members into mindup and increase collaboration of notes and have more meaningful conversations. They can also bring features like email preview that will help me to understand what are the notes or agenda that is shared with the participants of the meeting.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I am solving with mindup are
1) All my information was scattered across multiple places so it was very difficult for me to search for them and had wasted a lot of my time in this process.
2) All my meeting notes and my todos were not associated with the corresponding meetings so I had to remember or think of what I had discussed in the meetings
3) Sharing of information was very difficult as everyone in my team had their own note-taking app.

Mindup has helped me to solve all the problems I have been facing with its awesome features like integrations, private notes, and agenda templates.

  ### 4. Great for having a structure to your meetings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sohaib A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

The templates are far the best feature. As a startup founder, you often do a lot of things for the first time, and Mindup has some great templates / frameworks which helps you ensure you've covered all the right things. This was particularly helpful when I hired my first few individuals and could set the agenda for team meetings or knowing what should be discussed in a sprint meeting with my developers. Coming from a non-tech background, I had no idea of how development works, and this just makes it so easy.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

It's a separate app, and it some times becomes inconvenient to remember to open it and take notes. This then becomes one of many apps you need for meetings like Otter.ai, Sunsama, Pipedrive CRM etc. It would be good to have it more integrated with an email app or even a CRM like Pipedrive - or if you could pop notes in an email and email it to the platform, or maybe even a Notion integration?

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

As far as I am aware, there is nothing else like this, so its a great tool for any startup founder or individual where your day just gets eaten up by lots of meetings.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps you have more productive meetings by planning exactly what needs to be discussed. It is the worst feeling when you've had an hour long meeting with someone and still havnt captured all the required details. Mindup just makes it clear for both parties what needs to be discussed. Its also an indication to the other party that you respect their time and have thought about the purpose of this meeting.

  ### 5. Focused, user friendly, customizable and solves a perennial problem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Kamlesh N. Pathak S. | Professor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Don't know if there were apps like Mindup before, but there sure needed to be, given how critical it is to ensure stuff that's discussed in meetings persisted after the meeting. I am a Professor and have to take multiple classes a day, all of them online in the situation, and was in need of a tool that'd help me associate important points for, and discussed in, a lecture with the lecture and the students I was lecturing. Mindup solved that for me. I use action items to ensure some important concepts and questions do not get missed out. I have created custom templates for my BTech students, MTech students and PhD students respectively, each having agenda items specific to the category of students, and this helps me ensure that I maintain a flow across my interactions with the students. My institution uses Google Workspace, and thus, I can connect my GCal class calendar and it fetches all my class details into Mindup.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

As I understand, this is a new product, in the making, and thus, some of its features are in the process of being implemented/improved. I prefer a dark mode, given that it's better for my eyes. I also often need to download agendas and share it across, something I am unable to do on Mindup. Finally, I often forget creating agendas and would prefer if there were options to give me notifications if I forget to do it before a meeting

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mindup has become my post class analysis and pre-class practice tool. I was recommended this tool by my son, and would further recommend this to anyone who has to manage multiple meetings to ensure that you don't get lost.

Mindup has moved a lot of stuff from elsewhere - my head, my calendar, my mail, my computer(MS Word/PDF files) into a single app, and that has brought a lot of consistency for a non-tech-savvy person like me

  ### 6. Productivity enhancing, minimalist and complete

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dushyant P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

My fav is the seamless, 2-way integration with GCal. Many other apps I've used often falter at some stage - such as reverse-integration, real time updating of the calendar or so on. Custom agenda templates help my team create checklists for our regular standups, retrospectives, PI planning meetings, ensuring nothing gets missed. Action items ensure that important items are prominent until they're checked off. Assets such as PPTs for meetings stay available and we don't have to search for them. Mindup has put in a lot of analysis into bringing a lot of the 'most relevant' features, rather than 'all' the features.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

It's still pretty infant, and that means small issues arise - action items often get added doubly since it takes time for an item to reflect. It lacks integration access with other apps such as Notion and Google Meet, which are critical for my own use case.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mindup helps me keep track of recurring meeting agendas and action items so that they're not missed. In a myriad labyrinth of meetings, it's very easy to forget some points, not just because you haven't written them down, but also when you have written them down someplace, but can't find it at the right time. Mindup ensures that these items are prominently visible via the app, and that means, the one screen holds all we need - the agenda, the action items, and the assets.

Using this has reduced our team standups' time by at least 10 mins since there's less back and forth. Agenda items persist after the meeting for all participants, which means that participants can go back and check things that were discussed any time in the future.

  ### 7. Great Early Stage Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

The agendas are extremely helpful. They prepare my team for what's coming but also help me organize my thoughts and stay on topic.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

The app is buggy. Adding long text made my note extend off of the page, when I shared an agenda via link the link didn't work. He had to log in the main page and go to the meeting manually.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

Mindup is more effective as you get more of your team involved with it, thinking about meetings, adding notes, and sharing agendas with each other ahead of meetings.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many meetings have no clear purpose, it's helping me set the standard in my organization for using our meeting time well. It helps me organize meetings in a very coherent way without having to do a full-on presentation. When recording onboarding docs, having the agenda on screen creates a visual map for the viewer of the content being discussed.

  ### 8. A key to client success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek K. | Sr. Customer Guide, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

My entire custom success team uses Mindup to productively prepare for customer meetings. Not only can we share agendas in advance with participants, but both parties can comment directly ahead of time. This isn't just a time-saver, but a way to focus the time on the right items. Then, after the meeting, we can send an email recap of all of the notes with a click of the button. On top of that, tracking your previous meetings notes and setting up templates is a cinch.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

Currently, they are limited on the 3rd party integrations. There are a number of ways we could roll this out for other departments once the integrations are made. Thankfully it looks like they are actively tracking which ones matter the most to customers. Fingers crossed!

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a universal meeting tool for our team is necessary if we want to grow and scale our team. If we rely on post-it notes, note-pads, and napkins across a large team, we won't have a common source for collecting pivotal customer information. Most importantly, this is a proactive approach that our customers appreciate. It allows for transparency and an easy way for closed-loop communication.

  ### 9. Plan for 1:1s/Team Meetings with ease and organization!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyrone G. | VP of People, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

I really like the prepopulated templates that they offer for each meeting. They have changed the way I engage with my direct reports. We co-create topics and action items ahead of our meetings because of Mindup. I don't know where we'd be without it!

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

You have to add the template to each meeting (it's not seamless for recurring meetings). You can add it ease but it would be nice for it to apply to all meetings in a series.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to co-create on topics and agendas ahead of meetings. Additionally, the ability to create the right structure/framework for new managers. It keeps meeting on topic for me.

  ### 10. A surprisingly helpful app that takes guesswork out of planning meetings.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Assistant Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

You can easily set up agendas for meetings, share with colleagues, and keep track of what to do next.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

There's not much to dislike. What Mindup does, they do well. I am looking forward for future updates to the integrations. It would be great for Mindup to sync with Calendly or Notion so that links are more readily available and flows more easily into my workflow.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

It is a wonderful new app and does what it is supposed to do well. It is still limited as it is a growing team, but once new integrations come out, it will be a must-have.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great to have meetings identified and planned ahead of time in a more easily adjusted way than the old-fashioned word document. It's also nice that all the agendas are in the same place and can be referenced when needed.

  ### 11. Excellent for Meeting Prep

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

I really enjoy the ability to select a template while prepping and drafting my meeting agendas. This helps me when doing repeatable agendas for recurring meetings. Also, the upcoming weekly summary email is great to help understand and maintain priority for the coming week.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

Still in the earlier stages, so the feature set is leaner at the moment but several updates so far this year have proved to show great improvements to the platform.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mindup is helping me align multiple projects with various stakeholders, both internally and externally to my company.

  ### 12. One stop shop for meetings' - link, agenda, action items, times and productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dushyant P. | Technology Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

1. Action items ensure that the critical points in any meeting are addressed, and ticking them off increases the feeling of achievement.

2. Custom agenda templates allow me to create templates for specific meetings like backlog refinement meets, PIs, personal reviews, one-on-ones, to ensure consistency when collating these later on.

3. Clean interface with only the most essential features ensures that I don't get confused when I get onto the platform, but instead, have a very clear idea of what I am here for, and end up doing it.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

1. Action items adding is slow, and often times, multiple copies of the item end up getting added.

2. Integrations are limited to GCal/Outlook only - missing Google Meet/Zoom integrations.

3. Unable to download meeting agendas to share with those not on the meets.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I keep track of agendas, todos and action items for my meetings with Mindup. Being a full time Software Engineer with several side hustles, I see about 15-20 meetings a week, and it can be tough to keep abreast of the agendas for all of them.

Mindup integrates with my Google Calendar to fetch meeting details, so that I can join directly from Mindup. I plan the Meetings' agenda, send it across to the other members in the meet, create action items and todos during the meeting, which persist forever, so that I can come back and refer to them even weeks later

  ### 13. Instantly improve your meetings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John F. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Mindup is fantastic for preparing and organizing your meetings. The quick-start templates make it easy to add structure to any meeting that you have. The 18-minute meeting format and the 1 -on -1 template are extremely practical. It not only helps you prepare the meeting organizer, but it also helps those attending. They know what to the meeting will be about and they can prepare accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

Mindup is still adding features. Parts of it still feel like an MVP but they are adding new features regularly.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

Start off by adding it to one or two meetings each week. Then as you get used to using it expand to the rest of the meetings in your week.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mindup is used in our 1 on 1 meetings, product planning meetings, and meeting with stakeholders.

  ### 14. Overall a great productivity tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karla V. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

I liked the easy-to-use interface. It was simple and pretty intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

I was not too fond of that when sending the meeting summary, the activities and assignee would not show.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

Mindup is an excellent tool for summarizing activities and planning for meetings such as client meetings and teams.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving a few organizational problems by completing deadlines and assigning tasks to my team.

  ### 15. Meetings The Way I've Always Wanted Them

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayley-Chanel J. | Director of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Mindup makes prepping for meetings so much easier on the brain - especially if you are someone who jumps between multiple calls a day, in between intensive sessions of building processes / stragies. Being able to take the grunt work out of how to structure and note my thoughts for the day ahead frees up a lot of brain power and I can then assign Action Items post meeting and share them with my team for accountability and organizaiton.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

As a growing company there are still some features left to desire. I'm really hoping they continue to quickly build out their functionality so they can remain competitive in the space and become a household name.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes planning meetings and talking points / next steps very easy.

  ### 16. Love the interface and features but would love a native app

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lara B. | No-Code Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

The today page and the ability to add actions and documents to meetings

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

Lack of integrations and multiple calendars

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me be more organized about my meetings before they start and also helps me be more aware of the discussions and steps I have to take afterwards

  ### 17. Great tool! Helps me come prepared to every meeting.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel G. | Design Operations Manager

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Mindup really stands out as a tool for logging meetings. It's simple enough to not get in the way of a conversation, but has enough features to really prove itself useful. I like that It reminds me to plan my meetings ahead, so I come more prepared and confident.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

There are a couple of things that still need to be improved. Following up on a previous meeting and going back to the to-do's can be a little tricky if you don't remember the date that certain meeting took place. And the same thing for tasks.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mindup has allowed me to have more focused meetings (especially 1-1s) with my direct reports, and then follow-up on them. It helps me get back on topic when the conversation strays away, and gives invitees a clear agenda that allows them to know when a meeting is close to finishing.

  ### 18. A great tool if your whole company is bought in

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

I like the ability to take notes in the app collaboratively and have action items send out via email. It's a beautiful centralized hub for all meeting notes.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

It's so challenging to get an entire company bought into using it. It feels like just another tool and thing to log in to. It doesn't provide enough incremental value to warrant using it as an alternative to Google Docs.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to instill a company culture of better meeting agenda and outcomes.

  ### 19. Has potential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

I like the idea of integrating all the apps and progarms we use to have a cohesive meeting.

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

There are not video tutorials on how to use. Shows that zoom can be integrated but does not even show up when you login. Has Slack but how does it integrate.
The to do option and follow up just looks like a checklist. How does it follow up to make sure task is done?

**Recommendations to others considering Mindup:**

Use other programs that integrate into it.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration is the problem. And not knowing how it actually works through a demo. How do we invite other people?

Benefits is that you can include your entire team.

  ### 20. Nice productive tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Has an intuitive interface, it is easy to use

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

To be honest, Up to now, I can say nothing against this tool..!

The unique thing that it's not so useful to me is because is my personal tool and the folk doesn't know what it is and how its works.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To have an agenda to follow in each meeting. Gives me more control for doesn't distract of my meetings goal.

  ### 21. Great for agenda preparation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Mindup?**

Ready to use Meeting Templates
Weekly meeting recap

**What do you dislike about Mindup?**

There's Nothing much to dislike at this point. Mindup is a young tool and will keep getting better as features are added.

**What problems is Mindup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We prepare the agenda for our morning standups on Mindup. Shorter meetings with more results.

I was disliking all the emails and then I changed my settings

Making sure meetings are run efficiently.

Regular communication, scheduled meetings, reminders to get ready and forsee agenda items
