Use Case of Zmanda Implementation for SQL Server Backup **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Anand J. | Sr. Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024 **What do you like best about Zmanda?** 1) Cloud integration 2) Cost effective that many compatitive products 3) Easy to use and more friendly to configure 4) We have not perticulatly used for open source but have read its very friendly for open source on many blogs. **What do you dislike about Zmanda?** 1) Learning curve as for beginners it can bit complex 2) Backup speed is a bit low that oher products but yeah comes with lower cost too. 3) Limited documentations, this need to be improved. Not a big issue but definitely to be considered. **What problems is Zmanda solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zemanda was implemnted for dala loss prevention for one of our existing client in UK. It was sued for replicaiton of SQL severs for resiliency in case of hardware failure, accidental deletion, or natural disasters. This worked very good and a low cost solution for this use case and client was happy for the solution. We have not tried yet but next plan is to try scalability of the product. ### 2.
