**What do you like best about Zmanda?**

1) Cloud integration
2) Cost effective compared to many competitive products
3) Easy to use and more friendly to configure
4) We have not particularly used it for open source but have read it's very friendly for open source on many blogs.

**What do you dislike about Zmanda?**

1) Learning curve as for beginners it can be a bit complex
2) Backup speed is a bit lower than other products but yeah comes with lower cost too.
3) Limited documentation, this needs to be improved. Not a big issue but definitely to be considered.

**What problems is Zmanda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zmanda was implemented for data loss prevention for one of our existing clients in the UK. It was used for replication of SQL servers for resiliency in case of hardware failure, accidental deletion, or natural disasters. This worked very well and was a low-cost solution for this use case, and the client was happy with the solution. We have not tried it yet, but the next plan is to test the scalability of the product.

**What do you like best about Zmanda?**

It's allowed us to compress the backup data to reduce the storage space which is required for backup.

**What do you dislike about Zmanda?**

It only support MySQL database, for others we have to look for another Backup Manager.

**What problems is Zmanda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ZRM is comprehensive solution for MySQL database backup that offers flexibility, efficiency and most importantly security by encryption of data.

**What do you like best about Zmanda?**

Highly customisable, Doesn’t miss a backup if you forget to insert the target media. Can incorporated scripts. Workes better on Linux than windows.

**What do you dislike about Zmanda?**

Interface can be more polished.
Bad documentation.
Better Support

**Recommendations to others considering Zmanda:**

Needs some ui work.

**What problems is Zmanda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We stopped using Amanda, after finding a better solution.
