It has immensely unlocked and expanded the functionality of our platform offering. Workato makes our customers happy.

Nothing--would love the ability for more formulas and helpers within actions.

Our platform has integrations but clients may want to customize beyond what our integrations offer. Workato allows us to fully customize their integration experience.

  ### 3. A powerful tool but can be a bit inflexible

**What do you like best about Workato?**

I like the speed with which we can build out processes to transform/post data. It didn't take me too much time to build a process and it would be easy for others on my team to be able to make updates or add improvements.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

It is a bit inflexible for some of the more complex things I want to do. It is pretty expensive as far as the number of tasks I can eat through in a day. I would rather build microservices in Python even though it would be harder to train others on how to do this because this gives me a lot more control over my processes.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us with an ETL process and it has benefitted us by not taking as much time to roll this out.

It is very elegant, and the post-sale training and onboarding is first class.

There is certainly lots of complexity in integrations in general, and there is probably scope to improve any product - but for now we are very happy...

We are a vendor with multinational clients who all have their own nuances for integration - Workato allows us to scale and massively reduce the time taken in each individual integration project.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

Workato is a really innovative solution to build integrations. The embedding platform and platform APIs can help you brand your integrations according to your choice and still have Workato do all the background work for them.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

The embedded platform's pricing for startups and smaller companies are really high. Sometimes the companies might not be at that scale to spend this much at once! There should be plans which allow lesser tasks at a lower cost.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workato lets you build smaller integrations very very fast and also helps monitor them really efficiently. You don't have to deploy your own infrastructure and worry about scale problems while using Workato to build software.

Easy to onboard new developers. Automation academy has helped a lot in that process

Most example recipes use Salesforce as a sample connector. It would be nice to have other connectors like Fusion, NetSuite to showcase options in recipes.

been able to migrate from MuleSoft to Workato in most of our use cases.

I think more documentation is needed. There's so much you can do, but not as much content available to help overcome obstacles more quickly.

Most intuitive platform, which is available with the fly automation features. The thing that I like most about this platform is its an easy-to-work and easy-to-configure features. The tools and the features available in this can be beneficial for increasing the productivity and workflow of any business. Improved connection and connectivity with your customers with this software. Great for iPaaS and ETL tools available in this software.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

No regular and frequent updates of this software is available; no reminders are there about the UI and the OS of this platform via any communication application. The boundations or limitations are seen about the file or document size which you need to import. System lag is experienced when we try to import heavy documents.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the help of this software, we have increased our connectivity with our clients and other organizations. Managing all the actions and steps required for growing and scaling our organization. Scaling our business in the market and planning and discussing for the improvement of our business. Integrated it with the cloud platforms for storing data.

The platform works fantastic when you need to work with larger-sized datasets. The documentation process has been so much easier with this software, which supports all file formats. The software is supported on every device and can be easily configured and integrated with almost software or platform in the market. Connectivity with that software is impressive, and the connectivity process is also fantastic. The software is accessible by everyone in your organization who has the authority to access it.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

There have been some boundaries when you try to add information or details to the lookup table, as there are narrow columns featured in the lookup table.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Workato software helps all y colleagues and partners integrate all the information and clients and deals data with this software for accessible business deals. No feature of tool included in this can be used for replacing the name recipients from the workflow.

  ### 16. Creating solutions, automations and integrations is easy and fast

**What do you like best about Workato?**

The low code/no code environment allows me to easily create my automations and integrations. I usually build Proof Of Concepts, so I need to easily show that the combination of Workato and Epicor Prophet 21 is a great tool to extend the functionality of Prophet 21 and an easy way to integrate with other systems. When I can use Workato, I prefer to use this tool, because is easy and quick.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

I would like Workato to have more connectors. The big names are there, but there are a TON of smaller solutions that my customers use that I would love them be there.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extending the funcionality of Prophet 21 and building integration with other solutions.

Thanks to this tool, we were able to centralize our ad hoc automations and imbue them with a solid level of organizational stability. The tool's value lies in its ease of use, even for those with limited development experience. The support team has been a great asset, providing us with assistance in resolving problems and helping us discover new solutions. Our core automations have seen significant growth due to Moveworks

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

At times, the error messages may lack sufficient information to determine the root cause of a problem. This is often a result of the integrated software not supplying enough context itself

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Workato, we've found a more effective solution for automating our onboarding and offboarding processes and transferring data between systems. The capability to receive failure reports also alerts us to any malfunctions in real-time.

  ### 19. An Automation Platform closely aligned with your business processes without over-engineering!

**What do you like best about Workato?**

Unlike some competing automation platforms (iPaaS) that focus on the # of connections, Workato focuses on processes, allowing for greater flexibility in the number of systems/endpoints that need to be hit to satisfy a business process comprehensively. Other than the fact that it is a low-code/no-code solution, this is their greatest strength, so you can build your recipes and sub-recipes without worrying about how many connections are being utilized in your contract.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

Today, EDI is not handled natively by Workato and requires a separate subscription to a third-party service that handles EDI transactions through API via connectors. I would prefer a one-stop shop for troubleshooting and mitigating the risk of another point of failure along the path.

Workato has an exceptional user interface.  It's easy to navigate, pleasant to interact with, and yet powerful, robust and flexible.  Support has been incredibly helpful whenever we've been stuck with an issue.

I was somewhat surprised at how the pricing model per task worked.  We have since adjusted our recipes but initially we generated many more tasks than expected because we didn't fully understand which tasks were counted.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our platform requires integrations with any ATS in the market.  Workato allows us to quickly and easily build recipes that integrate with just about anything, including some circumstances where we have to fall back to CSV flat files.  This makes our product stickier and brings much more value to our customers.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

The UI is intuitive and time-to-value in terms of learning it is on point. It's robust, and enough of a no-code/low-code platform that a non-technical person can adopt it. With this its capable of simple or relatively complex operations and has enough customizeability to do most things you would need from your automations and integrations.

Free trainings and certifications are great. Always available chat support, as well as the account-level support (solutions consultants), is fantastic. Great documentation. Community library is also a great addition.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

- Introducing to non-technical people can still be overwhelming and daunting. Could maybe use a pre-built library of typical or stand-out automations that display a wide range of triggers, actions usage, and creative use of formulas to achieve different outcomes - so you'd have more things to copy-and-paste-and-adjust from, rather than building from scratch. You can kind of do this by planning ahead and by using the community library, but you'd need to know what you're doing - so it still needs one or two internal ambassadors when you're trying to increase adoption after purchase.

- As a true enterprise solution, they lack lower-tier pricing options for lower scale usage to scale from, or when you're not sure if you can get multiple business units from your company onboard.

- Some most used native connectors may lack a few common actions that are available for some more basic-level competitors (like Zapier), so sometimes you'll need to build your own actions which will pretty quickly turn the tool from no-code to medium-code. This is also true for the more complex and more custom automation cases that you'll need to interact with APIs, so most of the greater benefits of the software are tangible only once you move from no-code to low/mid-code.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating manual processes and Integrating systems that we were previously not able to integrate. Automating different kinds of repetitive work has definitely been the biggest cost and time saver for us.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

The integration capabilities meet all areas I expect and then some. It's intuitive to build the recipes I need, and I'm impressed with the functionality presented. It's designed to match how I think when building these integrations. The fact that I can build recipes without needing to insert a javascript, python, or ruby action means a lot to me and makes it so much easier for our support team to troubleshoot the solutions I build.

I do have to give a shoutout to the product and engineering teams as well. We have only used Workato for a little over a year and I'm impressed with the new features that have been coming out. They just make sense, and we tend to adopt these new features/enhancements right away.

One final callout. I'm grateful for how quickly our feature requests were responded to. I made one request to the team that manages the Workato Connectors and to the CSM, and I saw a turnaround of a month and half, which let's me feel that my team and I are heard and we greatly appreciate it.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

Little things with the UI/UX can be a bit challenging. For example, switching from an "If Condition" or "If/Else Condition" and vice versa requires the criteria to be completely redefined. Another example, I typically need to navigate to another recipe while editing another, but I have to exit the edit mode to do that, which dislike as I tend to loose my spot.

The other, as OEM customer, it's difficult for my team to be able to see a high level view of all task usage across customer accounts. I would expect Workato to have a dashboard with the ability to pull such information since that's what we're being charged against.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Solutions Architect, my team provides custom solutions with auto-matted business processes or transactional integrations across platforms for our enterprise and strategic customers.

Workato not only provides a place to host and develop the solutions we need, the connectors fast track our development time, and our support team has much more insight when troubleshooting bugs with the jobs history.

Workato allows you to configure complex recipes to transform your organization's daily operations. It is fun to see how many teams can automate a manual process and start engaging the team to think another way - that can leave them with a new skill set.

The clarity in formula mode and documentation (knowledgebase) in that area to figure something out quickly could be smoother. It could be a big selling point in understanding the full functionality and library of knowledge Workato offers - kind of hard to navigate today. I will say that the "Workato Support" and "Solution Consultants" are the best!

Workato is changing how data flows inside our organization, increasing the accuracy across any system we integrate. Intuitive and easy to deploy/get up and running.  Provides great customer/client support, with 24-hour chat, a ticketing system and a customer support team that is very collaborative and responsive to customer needs/requests.

Bulk processing functionality, such as simple data replications, could be more robust.  Not designed for large, complex integrations.  Data limits and timeouts require recipes to include pagination and other strategies.   Also, error handling for timeouts must be developed -- it is not handled by the standard Error Handling Tasks in Workato.   Not designed for ETL - would like to see this functionality built out.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated many arduous tasks to free up time and labor for staff -- less time doing manual data entry. 
Integrated, connected and simplified the technology stack into one platform to create a consolidated view across all arms of the business,

Workato has become one of our primary tools for automation and integration of marketing systems. The impressive number of connectors makes integrating industry-standard systems extremely easy. The on-prem agent, SDK and API capabilities ensure the flexibility to communicate with pretty much anything with an accessible interface - on-prem or in the cloud. The web interface is exceptionally well thought through and is quick and easy to work with.

Cost becomes a significant factor to consider once you start using it heavily.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

Wrokato provides multiple connectors and the UI navigation is seamless with multiple options. 
Also, Workato team works quickly on creating custom connectors based on the request.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

Getting a hang of it will take some time as creating recipes needs some practice as they are not straight forward.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workato helps an organization in setting up the data integrations quickly. The integrations are pretty stable and error handling is done very well.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

The UI is easy to understand how to build the different automations.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

When some of the challenges in first implementation are related to one of the tools workato is connecting too, it is not easy to get answers. for example if you build integration between Salesforce(CRM) and NetSuite  (ERP) it can go much faster if the support from workato would be someone familiar enough with both tools.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automatically creating new customers and deals with full products pricing and details  in our ERP system after a deal is closed won in our CRM.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

The integration with many applications is excellent. Simple and precise steps to make automation is a key to this application.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

Sometime complex integration is not very clear, and takes time to understand the flow. Google Integraion can be a bit better though.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to use and helping in making lot of quick integration of our application. It is really useful in the daily operations where many application like Slack, Gmail, Jira, jenkins are involved. It really makes your life easy when it comes to automation.

Easy to setup
Strong Enterprise focus (ability to set up a governance group to control the usage. Ability to control which admin has access to what, etc.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

The platform fee is a bit frustrating. The volume approach is much better.

Easy business automation for internal use cases (onboarding for example)
Easy framework to accelerate our integration story (embedded experience)

For creating basic and sophisticated workflows using any combination of apps, triggers, and actions, I like Workato.
I can install a mechanism for IT to escalate open tickets and security issues.
To automate our business operations, we can create integrations.
By eliminating silos and freeing staff from the need to transfer between programs or manually enter data, time can be saved.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

On the API side, it needs some work.
For small businesses, subscription fees could offer more flexibility
The ability of the Python connection to use libraries other than those that are already accessible is something I would like Workato to enable.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without writing a line of code, Workato lets you effortlessly connect and manage process automation across local and cloud applications, files, and databases.
Workflows can be designed to automate business procedures that require safe and reliable human interaction.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

UI/UX of Workato is at least 10x better than all its competitors and can easily be used by even non-tech guys, unlike other platforms where UI is typically developers centric Java/Eclipse IDE based only.
Effortless implementation of simple use-cases as well as highly complex flows. The custom SDK facility is highly appreciable and no other platform provides that much ease.
Openly available already built solutions under the community library with tonnes of recipes and connectors saves a lot of crucial time and efforts of the company's resources.
Awesome live chat feature - the team is highly efficient and solves your issues pretty quickly (this is also unique among competitors).

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

Workato embedded workspace customers have delayed updates than normal workspace customers, such as, the environment (dev, test, prod) feature is still not available for embedded users but it is available for normal customers since the feature rollout.
The embedded platform is sometimes buggy and does not behave as expected in recipes as well as custom SDKs.

**Recommendations to others considering Workato:**

To automate your manual workflows 
or build and implement integrations between different systems
or sync any kind of data between business verticals, entities or customers
that too within record time and fewer efforts,
then Workato is the best choice in the market

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The middleware integrations/automations are time-consuming to implement and even difficult to manage in the ever-evolving IT space. Here, Workato comes as a savior with already built solutions/recipes and quick-to-build/deploy platform with almost all required connectors (AWS, Google, Workday, SAP, Salesforce etc). We delivered 300+ recipes and 35+ custom connectors for customers in time with Workato.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

We use Workato to automate what used to be done with bash scripts, crontab schedules and the like. We had a nest of these home-grown and handcrafted processes which were difficult to maintain and almost impossible to hand over to other staff to look after. Workato has allowed us to make these automations and integrations more accessible to more staff, and with the added benefit of job monitoring and a nice GUI as well. We keep finding new things to use it for, and have been able to easily enough make our own connectors to a couple of services we use which have REST APIs which Workato didn't have an inbuilt connector for.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

Only minor things, like as the account "owner" I get email notifications when recipes created by others fail, but they don't. I'm sure this type of thing can be resolved in future versions as the product matures. Overall, it's a very likeable service.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a lot of legacy, custom integrations which were hard to monitor, maintain, and hand over to other staff. By moving these to Workato, we're more scalable, and easier to manage, and more staff can be involved to develop and support. Previously only hard core "coders" could, now a wider group of people can create automations and useful business integrations. This also significantly reduces our key-man risk and helps our various business continuity plans.

But you can modify this by going to Account settings > Email notifications and editing the Error notifications field. Add multiple emails by using a comma as a separator.

**What do you like best about Workato?**

The possibilities are ENDLESS with Workato! It's the perfect combination of thorough and user-friendly, even for someone who doesn't have a coding background. Their support team is extremely knowledgeable and helpful any time we need to talk through a project. 
We have streamlined current processes and created new connections for virtually every department in the company.  We've also built in new efficiencies in our sales funnel that have propelled us to record-setting performance. 

There are still endless ways that we can utilize Workato to solve immediate problems, improve current processes, and bridge any gap to propel our organization forward.

**What do you dislike about Workato?**

The steep learning curve, but that's almost unavoidable. Considering the complexity of the platform, the Workato team does a great job of setting you up for success between their Automation Academy training courses, live "office hours" and a vast library of recipes/community boards.

The other challenge is wrapping your arms around how to get started/what can be done. It's just a very high threshold to get started, but once you do, you'll never look back.

**What problems is Workato solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling our business to sell more, faster. Bridging gaps between software that do not play well with each other. Saving hours and hours of employee time so they can avoid unnecessary admin work and get back to doing their jobs.
