What I like most about Willo Video Interviewing is how intuitive and easy it is to set up and navigate. The platform makes it simple to create interview workflows quickly, which is especially valuable in fast-paced recruiting environments. From a campus recruiting perspective, it’s been particularly effective.we’re able to gather a high volume of candidate responses efficiently, and candidates consistently share positive feedback about their experience. One area for improvement with Willo Video Interviewing is the assessment setup. It can feel too basic and lacks the level of structure needed for more comprehensive evaluations. For roles that require deeper screening or standardized scoring, the platform could benefit from more advanced customization options, such as structured assessment frameworks, weighted scoring, or more robust evaluation criteria.

Willo Video Interviewing is solving the inefficiency and scheduling challenges that come with traditional early-stage interviews. Instead of coordinating multiple calendars for phone screens, the platform allows candidates to complete interviews asynchronously, which significantly reduces time-to-screen and removes logistical friction.

For me, the biggest benefit is scalability. In high-volume scenarios especially campus recruiting it allows us to review a large number of candidates in a consistent and efficient way. Everyone answers the same set of questions, which creates a more standardized evaluation process and makes it easier to compare candidates side by side.

It also improves the candidate experience. Candidates can complete interviews at their convenience, which reduces pressure and often leads to more thoughtful responses. We’ve seen strong engagement and positive feedback, which helps strengthen employer brand early in the hiring funnel.

Overall, it saves time, increases consistency in screening, and allows us to focus our energy on the most qualified candidates rather than administrative coordination.

**What do you like best about Willo Video Interviewing?**

Before using Willo, our phone screens typically lasted 20 to 30 minutes, and sometimes stretched to 30 or even 45 minutes when candidates had difficulty being concise. After these calls, interviewers would write up feedback for the rest of the hiring team to review. 

With Willo, we've saved significant time by limiting candidate responses to 2-3 minutes per question. Willo enables later interviewers to watch the recorded videos, giving them a chance to observe candidates' communication skills firsthand and feel more confident about who they'll be meeting. It has allowed others to speak into hiring decisions to make a more confident hire.

**What do you dislike about Willo Video Interviewing?**

I wish there was an easier way to edit interview questions. It doesn't feel user friendly to have to go through multiple pages before/after editing just to change a single question.

**What do you like best about Willo Video Interviewing?**

Willo works really well for us mainly as a candidate screening tool. It’s super easy for applicants to use since they just click a link and record their answers, which helps keep completion rates high and removes a lot of scheduling back-and-forth. On our side, the interface is clean and simple, so reviewing responses is quick and straightforward, especially for early-stage screening. It integrates with some ATS tools, which is helpful, though not super extensive if you’re running a more complex system. Performance-wise, it does exactly what we need for screening, but reviewing videos can still take time as volume grows. Pricing feels reasonable for the value it brings, especially in saving recruiter time during the initial stages. Onboarding was quick, and support has been solid whenever needed. The AI features like transcripts and summaries are nice to have, but overall we still rely on human judgment to make screening decisions.

**What do you dislike about Willo Video Interviewing?**

What I personally dislike about Willo (especially when using it for candidate screening) is that it can feel a bit limited once you get past the basics. Reviewing candidates is straightforward, but it still requires a lot of manual effort since there’s no strong AI-driven ranking or deeper insights to quickly surface the best fits. The integrations are also somewhat restricted, so it doesn’t always flow seamlessly with more complex ATS setups. On top of that, as volume grows, going through each video one by one can get time-consuming, and the analytics side is fairly basic if you’re trying to make more data-driven hiring decisions. It does the core job well, but it doesn’t really go beyond screening into anything more intelligent or automated.

Willo solves a few very practical problems in our screening process, mainly around speed, consistency, and scheduling. Instead of trying to coordinate dozens (or even hundreds) of phone screens, candidates can complete their responses on their own time, which removes a lot of back-and-forth and helps us move faster through early-stage applicants. It also gives us a consistent way to evaluate everyone using the same set of questions, so we’re not relying on scattered notes from different screeners. On top of that, it helps reduce time-to-shortlist since we can review responses whenever we have capacity, rather than being tied to live calls. The biggest benefit for us is really efficiency—we’re able to screen more candidates in less time while still getting a decent sense of communication skills and fit before moving people forward.

I find Willo Video Interviewing to be easy to use both for the candidates and ourselves. It's a safe platform that helps candidates share their image with more trust, solving an important part of the hiring process. I also like that we can always download content and find the platform very intuitive. The initial setup was pretty easy as well.

**What do you dislike about Willo Video Interviewing?**

I think it should have more options and not only rejected/approved. But for us, sometimes we need to send more materials and we need to use another platform to do it. Also we don't have the option to put the candidate in an intermediate stage, for example 'in progress', or 'waiting for decision', something like that. The search could be improved. Currently, the system doesn't recognize variations in accentuation, if a name is registered as 'Laís', searching for 'Lais' returns no results. It would be important for the search to be more flexible, considering common typing variations.

I find Willo Video Interviewing really easy to use, and it's received well across the business when we've shared links for people to review tests. It's just a really useful piece of kit. I also enjoy working with their customer service team because they solve issues quickly. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, and their team helped a lot.

**What do you like best about Willo Video Interviewing?**

I really like the ease of use with Willo Video Interviewing. It's very user-friendly, and I didn't need much training to get it set up. I also like how easy it is to customize the interviews, which is great for tailoring them to specific positions I'm hiring for. The accurate transcription and AI summary are very helpful, especially since I sometimes struggle with auditory processing, and they are more accurate compared to other platforms I've used.

**What do you dislike about Willo Video Interviewing?**

I think the candidate experience is the biggest issue because a lot of our candidates just don't want to do it. We determined that turning off video and having it be just audio and written response did increase the number of candidates willing to complete it. But I would say, we're not getting as many candidates completing it in the markets where we are using Willo versus the markets where we're doing traditional scheduled phone interviews. However, both pools of candidates are yielding around the same number of hires. So it may be that only the candidates who are really invested are completing a Willo interview, and those usually do end up getting hired.

Willo Video Interviewing reduces scheduling conflicts by letting candidates complete interviews on their own time, freeing up my calendar. It also helps with auditory processing by providing accurate transcriptions and summaries, saving time and effort in screenings.

When compared to the software we used previously, like Adobe Frame, Willo Video Interviewing seemed more efficient and less manual. I believe it is the best image and video software available for assessments.

I appreciate Willo's generally easy-to-use interface, including easy commenting on various interview responses. For online choral auditions, the relatively high audio quality is also helpful.  Our choral area uses Willo to process hundreds of online auditions each year.

There are a few bugs that can make the software difficult to use, including difficulty interfacing with the Apple iPad, a lack of options for how to rate interviewees (I would prefer a numerical rating system or the ability to determine our own rating system, as opposed to the five options given by Willo).  Additionally, the videos auto-advance from question to question, which can cause difficulty when you need to re-hear a student's response to an audition question before moving onto the next question.

Willo has completely transformed the way we approach candidate screening. As a modern interviewing platform, it streamlines the hiring process with remarkable efficiency. It is exceptional at cutting down both time and costs without compromising on quality. The platform’s intuitive interface and smart automation features make it incredibly easy to set up screening questions, share interview links, and evaluate responses. We’ve seen faster turnaround times, better candidate insights, and more confident hiring decisions. We use Willo daily at Bott and co, and we focus on using the platform for all types of screening, internal and external. Faith at their customer support side is outstanding, we couldn't ask for more from her. Implementing Willo into our already seamlines hiring process was simple, easy and very welcomed by all managers, the integration was second to non. Their functions are also brilliant, my favourite being the 'natural delivery' screening that checks how natural candidates delivery is, allowing us to check for potential AI reliance rather than assistance. A great platform all round.

**What do you dislike about Willo Video Interviewing?**

I would not rely on Willo for a full interview process, we use this as a 1st stage interview screening, then invite candidates to attend the office or video call for a 2nd interview. Willo cuts down the time spent interviewing candidates in person but one limitation is the lack of real-time interaction. Because the platform relies on asynchronous video responses, it can sometimes miss the spontaneity and depth of live conversations. Especially when evaluating soft skills or cultural fit. For roles where interpersonal dynamics are key, teams may still need to supplement Willo with live interviews or add this as a 2nd stage. Having said this, I couldn't recommend Willo enough as a screening platform.

**What problems is Willo Video Interviewing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional hiring often involves hours of scheduling, conducting, and reviewing interviews. Willo replaces this completely. 

Willo is built to handle large applicant pools efficiently. For example, in one internal campaign, 1,496 applicants were invited to submit via Willo, resulting in 249 video submissions, this lead to  36  in person interview invites, 9 turned up to interview, we hired 3. Therefore it puts a barrier between us and candidates that aren't truly interested in the role, but simply click 'apply all' on Indeed. 

Willo allows candidates to interview on their own terms, reducing scheduling friction and making the process more inclusive. This flexibility is especially valuable for remote or global hiring, where time zones and availability can be barriers.

Willo lets me review interviews at my convenience, eliminating the need for cumbersome wetransfer downloads or generating reports through our ATS. Candidates have mentioned that the platform is easy to use, and our recruitment team can review more than 400 video interviews each week. This makes Willo one of the tools we rely on most frequently.

Very little, the only room for improvement is a reporting dashboard, but this is being worked on!

We've been using Willo for nearly two years to manage our high-volume early careers recruitment. Transitioning to a video interview platform has saved us an extraordinary amount of time. What we value most is the flexibility, candidates can complete their interviews at a time that suits them, and our team can review responses when it’s most convenient. We've eliminated the inefficiencies and no-shows that often came with telephone interviews.

In our company, we love using Willo in our day-to-day processes to make the hiring experience easy and efficient. We have been parting with Willo for years and never regretted our decision at any time. The integration of the platform in our process was easy, especially with the support of the Willo-star Faith, who gives her all to make the experience and service exceptional from all fronts. Without the interview system, we would spend all our days interviewing candidates, but instead, we have the time to focus on the rest of the recruitment process as well.

Unfortunately, not all our ideas can be implemented, which shows that they have the individual users in mind, but trust the overall experience of all business and guest users. Willo saves us BOATLOADS of time and resources. If you interview regularly you have, no doubt, experienced being five minutes into an interview and having that distinct, sinking realization that it's a "no". But to not be rude, you let the interview proceed to a reasonable conclusion. Now you've wasted a bunch of time setting up the interview, bringing in other staff to assist, and enduring a total fail of a candidate just to be polite. Willo eliminates ALL of that. Your first impression fails are now eliminated before the extra time is invested. Is Willo worth it? Yes - by LEAPS and BOUNDS. 1000 times, yes. It is also super simple to use, and the customer support is fantastic. I use Willo for hiring every single time and have no intentions of ever stopping.

Video interviewing is simply a bit intimidating and/or awkward for some folks.
