When I tried to retrieve an expired file, the system did not display the original link but instead generated a new one. I once needed to prove that I had transferred a file, and although I had a premium membership while my colleagues did not, the link I retrieved and shared was completely different from the original. In my work with academic documents and audiovisual materials that can’t be compressed, what I appreciate most is how WeTransfer preserves the original quality every time. Their billing practices are a borderline scam. Nearly impossible to get a refund, had to jump thru many unnecessary hoops (no refund button, had to EMAIL support, re-enter my customer info and cc info, upload a PDF receipt...and then they emailed me again, asking for the same info AGAIN!).
