Upside is a GTM intelligence platform for B2B revenue teams. It connects to the systems where go-to-market data lives — CRM, marketing automation, meeting recording tools, and ad platforms — and automatically builds a unified, cleaned-up view of what happened on every account and deal. This includes resolving duplicate contacts across systems, reconstructing full touchpoint timelines, detecting buying groups from communication signals, and healing gaps in CRM data. On top of that foundation, Upside provides an analytics dashboard with account, campaign, and channel explorers; AI-powered research that reasons across meeting transcripts, emails, and structured CRM records; configurable AI fields for classifying and extracting insights from unstructured data; custom mini-apps for purpose-built reporting; and an MCP interface that makes the data available inside AI tools teams already use.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

Upside provides one of the clearest 360-degree views of our marketing activities and their impact. The scorecards offer a simple, easy-to-understand snapshot that helps campaign owners quickly see how campaigns and channels are performing. The MCP lets me drill into the data—or zoom back out—in almost any way I can imagine. It finally gives me the ability to build the kinds of views I’ve wanted for years but never had the infrastructure to create. Upside has become an integral part of our team’s workflow.

I’ve been working with the Upside team since October 2024, and I’ve been consistently impressed by how fast and accurately they move. They’re incredibly responsive and genuinely a joy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

Nothing! They have answered the call every time.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding impact and influence of paid channels. Deep analysis of sales engagement with marketing leads. Upside allows me to understand what is happening beyond a picklist. Our team can make honest informed decisions and reccomendations.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

Before Upside, we measured paid media the way most teams do: traffic, clicks, leads, conversions to direct opps. We knew paid was working, but we couldn’t quantify its true impact on revenue. Upside gave us that missing number: influenced pipeline. Not just leads or last-touch conversions, but actual opportunities where paid media showed up somewhere in the buying journey, tied to real account names and real dollar values.

It’s also changed how we invest. Being able to see campaign-level influenced pipeline data, specifically, which campaigns are touching real opportunities, not just generating clicks, means we can shift budget with confidence.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

There isn’t anything about the platform that I dislike. It’s given our team a lot of insights we didn’t have before, and whenever we need something built or added, their team is quick to get it done.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved our biggest problem in demand gen/paid media: proving that paid media does more than generate leads. We can now walk into a leadership meeting and show an influenced pipeline broken down by account, campaign, and month, with recognizable enterprise names included, and tell a complete story about how paid media shows up across the entire buying cycle, not only at the top of the funnel.

What’s made this even more powerful lately is Upside’s MCP integration. We can now pull influenced pipeline data directly through AI, by account, campaign, or month, on the fly, without the friction of a formal data request. For any demand gen team trying to connect paid spend to revenue impact, Upside is the clearest path to get there.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

Upside’s integrations bring all of our data into one place and give us a unique, customizable view. The app performs well when it comes to surfacing specific campaigns and showing exactly how members of those campaigns are engaging within our ecosystem. That’s exactly what we need to create unique content and new entry points that help us continue growing our business. 

The user interface is simple to use, while still showing enough direct impact that we can turn the insights into stronger reporting. The artificial intelligence insights within Upside are also helpful for diagnosing what has gone wrong—or right—across the campaigns we’re running. 

The newest addition, the MCP, which we can pair with Claude to create mini apps around specific tactics or segments, is going to be a game changer for reporting. It should accelerate our speed to lead and improve our overall reporting snapshots.

The support that the Upside team has offered us when we have queries on how to get specific data points has been crucial. The team is always willing to dig in with us and diagnose and solve any issues or add something to their own product roadmap.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

We’re using more of the Upside platform as it continues to develop, so the only “dislike” we have is that we’re still waiting for additional product features as they roll them out. It’s a good problem to have.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upside is helping us solve reporting issues where we previously had little to no insight. We can now review full account and user journeys, which gives us a clearer understanding of how to convert specific segments. We’re also able to attribute our efforts more effectively, from direct attribution to the broader influence of different tactics. This visibility is crucial as we continue to optimize and refine our marketing strategy within the finite market we’re a part of.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

I think the team at Upside is brilliant, with a great understanding of the challenges I'm trying to solve. I really like that the product itself is very simple and intuitive, with a thoughtful design. The dashboard is not scary, and I love how fast and easy it was to get everything set up and start realizing real value. We were fully integrated and had all our data populated in just two to three days. Upside's team did all the heavy lifting, which was outstanding, especially compared to a previous competitor that took over a year to set up. The onboarding process was clear and efficient. The UI/UX is clean and intuitive, requiring no ramp-up time to understand. I also value the integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Apollo, and Gong, as they provide a complete view of the end-to-end customer journey. Upside's use of AI helps surface unbelievable insights from unstructured data, making it easier to see and understand the data. From an ROI standpoint, the total cost, speed to value, and the value we've gotten so far are extraordinary.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

The ability to layer, filter, and visualize data across our GTM tech stack to easily and accurately showcase the impact of our programs and campaigns while being enabled to build our own mini-apps with AI is unlike anything I've had access to in my career in tech GTM operations. We're able to connect our primary GTM tech tools to Upside and easily run analysis in Upside, or using LLMs. 

The Upside team has been incredibly helpful, responsive, and some of the best teachers and minds in this space. We learn from them every time we meet and their product expands and improves at a rapid pace.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

Anything we've had notes for in terms of improvements to the product has been ticketed and quickly updated within their platform in a way that aligns to the best experience of all of their customers.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can quickly and accurately pull attribution reporting for our programs, campaigns, and channels while integrating with our primary GTM tech stack. We can also build mini-apps with LLMs that benefit our sales teams and leaders. Upside is a trusted data source with immediate and easily filterable results.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

Upside has given me unique insights that I haven’t been able to get from any other tool, and it’s helped me understand what’s truly driving our pipeline performance. It goes beyond simply seeing that paid search drove a demo request for an account; it helps uncover what actually influenced that outcome (for example, whether they were referred by someone or had been a user at their previous company). The upside team has also been a great partner throughout, and they’re consistently improving both the product and their overall approach.

Nothing yet—this is still a relatively new product, but they’re evolving and building quickly.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upside is helping me better understand what’s working, and what isn’t, in our marketing efforts that goes beyond what typically multi-touch attribution models can tell you. It's helped me get a much better idea of what our enterprise deal motion looks like and that's helping me optimize our programs and make decisions on our overall strategy.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

I like that Upside was really easy to set up and get started quickly. It's great that it connects to all of our relevant systems, like HubSpot, Salesforce, Gong, and Outreach, for pulling reporting data. I appreciate that it gives us a complete picture all in one place of what marketing and sales reps are doing to create and close pipeline. The setup was straightforward because the Upside team basically hooked up all of the tools we needed to pull data from (and it was easy for us because our data was already organized, so we didn't have a lot of cleanup). Unlike other platforms where you spend months assigning rules, scores, weighting, etc., Upside just ingested the data really quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

I can't think of anything. Whenever there's something we wish the platform had, we tell Upside and they build it within a couple days.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Upside to get a complete picture of marketing and sales activities - what's driving pipeline and pushing deals across the finish line.

**What do you like best about Upside?**

I love using Upside to understand the full funnel of our leads, from the initial touchpoint all the way to closed won or lost. The new MCP feature that Upside launched has helped my team go beyond our limits and find insights to themes we didn’t even have in our scope. It has really allowed me to understand my full pipeline, which is super beneficial as it helps us see where we need to double down and what's working best, something we didn’t have much track on before. The initial setup of Upside was super easy, and even though we had to go back and forth a bit with a few data integrations, the Upside team was great to work with.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

Perhaps the way the timeline of opportunities is showed in the platform could be improved. I believe there are ways in which more clear insights could be shown through the timeline such as specific actions that Upside could have seen in the past are part of a pattern to closing/losing deals.

**What problems is Upside solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Upside to understand our leads funnel and gain insights into themes beyond our scope. It solves analytics and troubleshooting problems, allowing us to identify where to focus and what works best.

I think their data layer and analysis is more important than their own UI so I want them to continue to double down on their MCP and integrations into existing workflows.

As a GTM marketer, I'm constantly connecting the dots across campaigns, pipeline, and revenue.  Understanding which touchpoints are influencing deals, where things are stalling, and what's actually moving the needle. Using Upside through Claude has made it so much easier to get those answers conversationally, without spinning up a data request every time

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

Honestly, no real complaints. It's one of those tools that just works. Would recommend it to anyone in GTM or demand gen who wants to move faster with data.

Upside allow us to easily build custom applications on top of their data, and get answers to questions in real time. We use Claude to access GTM data integrated with SFDC, Hubspot, & Gong.

**What do you dislike about Upside?**

I think that, with all new MCPs, you need to be at least somewhat technical to really understand how to leverage them. Also, still need support for additional data sources like custom SFDC objects.

Upside gives us visibility into massive data, and provides us the right answers. Without hiring another human to solve big data problems.
