**What do you like best about Branch?**

Branch is easy to use and identify employees that have accounts and those that still need accounts.  Working with a daily file that provides the correct pay amounts makes it easy and seamless to pay Employees tips out daily.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

It can be difficult to ensure that Employees have correctly activated their card and account to ensure that they have access to their funds.  95% of the time it is easy, but for Employees that are not tech-savy the process can be cumbersome and difficult to help them navigate.  The Employee/card holder Branch support Team is not helpful in assisting with these issues.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Branch allows us to continue to pay our Employees their tips on a daily basis, rather than make Employees wait until payday to collect their tips.

The fact that team members have all their funds loaded directly into their card.

How hard it is to troubleshoot and work with Branch support. Getting very basic answers of things that have been tried before reaching out for further support. 

Also team members not being able to reach branch support.

When an employee is requesting help by calling into Branch - They turn them back to us.  I in turn have to email as I do not have the answer and Branch does have to take care of the issue afterall.  It just seems like we go in circle when help is needed.

The ease of employees having acces to their Tips/Mileage on a daily basis.

$300 Daily transfer limit on immediate transfers to account.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

Branch is quick and easy!! My employees LOVED when we tranisitoned to branch.  They get paid everyday instantly! It keeps my on my toes with distributing tips daily instead of weekly.  There were times before I introduced Branch to the Restaurant Group that I would fall behind on my tip spreadsheet.  I would find myself having to rush to finish it at the end of the week.  When you rush mistakes happen.  Mistakes with peoples money is not a good thing.  Now Branch is part of my daily ruteen!  It has also put the restaurant group as a whole in a better postion finacially.  Not having to have a weekly pay out of tips being deducted from the bank accounts is probably the most important!  Having Branch deduct it form our account daily has put us in a better postion.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Honestly, I don't have anything bad to say about Branch.  I have not ran into anything that I dislike.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Branch is helping our restaurant gorup tremendously.  It forces me to do my tip spreasheet daily.  We are paying our staff daily.  Before I was putting it off and rushing to finish the spreadsheet for the week.  When you rush mistakes happen.  Mistakes with peoples money is not a good thing.  

Secondly, which is most important.  Instead of paying out weekly tips form the bank accounts for 4 different restaurants.  Now we are paying out daily.  The daily deductions from the accounts vs the large weekly sum has put the restaurant group as a whole in a much better finacal position!!

**What do you like best about Branch?**

The biggest upside is not having to replenish petty cash multiple times per week at every restaurant location for server tip payouts. It saves everybody in the company time and the onboarding and training was seamless.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

The only downside is the possibility for user error. Even with the checks in place, you can't completely eliminate human error and your risk is a bit greater than if you were limited to only cash-on-hand, but it hasn't been too big of an issue for us.

This is solving our cash replenishment issue since very few customers pay with cash these days and servers like to (and should) receive their tips at the end of their shift.

I love how easy it is to receive my money right away. You can transfer money very easy to another bank. And you can get cash back at certain restaurants!

The customer service is terrible, almost everyone I have talked to has taken multiple days to even respond to my issue. When calling the number it almost is never someone who is very fluent in English and communication is not great. They are not understanding my issue or I can not understand what they are trying to say. Also right after launching there was some sort of branch outage that really negatively impacted my roll out.

This service is allowing us to have more cash available inside the store.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

What impressed me the most was that I was on the phone and had a substantive conversation with a Branch representative only a few moments after submitting an inquiry! Honestly, I was expecting a few days to go by before hearing from someone based on previous experiences with other companies.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

I wish the instant transfer amount were a bit higher. It's only a daily limit, but we've had two instances where the employee had to wait for the day change to withdraw their money when they needed the funds ASAP. And support was unable to authorize a one-time increase in the daily limit in both of these cases.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When an employee hasn't worked for a few months, which is typical in our business, it allows us to send them money a week before their first paycheck. This is also very helpful as our employees are often traveling for work.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

Uploading the information for the workers and the disbursements was relatively simple.  Disbursements can be made in bulk or individually, which gives flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

The customer service side was lacking during onboarding when workers needed help setting up their apps or accessing their funds; wait times were roughly 45 minutes.  Initially, it was unclear that the workers would not have a web-based site to manage their money.  The "Instant Cards" tab is not 100% functional so that still needs some work.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to be a very cash-based industry, but now most payments coming in are either credit card, check or ACH payments.   The funds were available in the bank, but we could not payout workers the cash payments they were accustomed to in the past.

Their customer service. Easy to reach out to, amazing people to work with. I also enjoy the ease of use on a laptop. And best of all... no cash! No fees for me, no fees for my employees.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Has gotten worse! Their technology!!! It's a mostly good user experience on desktop. But on mobile, it's an absolute catastrophe. They have no app for the admin side (even though they have a great one for the end user). Their mobile site was recently updated to be optimized for mobile so it's better but still not great. Does not work at all on Safari, only on Chrome. And do NOT get me started on the stupid way they make you login! Why can't I have a username and password with two step verification like every other company on earth? Why only my cell phone number? Sometimes, the texts just don't come. Yesterday, their text provider, Twilio, was down almost all day. Couldn't do anything. Their technology team needs a complete refresh!

CASH! People are paying less and less in cash nowadays and that means we can't tipout servers in cash without going to the bank. Branch eliminates this problem.

Branch was easy to set up, and I very rarely run into any issues. Working with other types of vendors I feel like I am always reaching out to get something fixed, but I hardly ever have issues with Branch, it just works the way it is supposed, which saves me tons of time. It is also a partnership that our employees really value. They also have a support to help the employees which is great!

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Sometimes when there is an issue, Branch just tells the employees to contact us.  To be honest, most of the time it is on our end, but it would be helpful if Branch contacted us to let us know what the issue was because the employee doesn't always have the details we need.

Getting employees access to there wages so that they have gas to get to work before their first paycheck

The ability to pay out our users without any fees almost instantly has been a great perk for our users. Alternatives like Stripe were much more expensive, and our users had to wait days to receive their funds.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

The main downsides are the lack of ability for users to have their funds automatically deposited from their Branch account to their bank account and the inability to reverse a transfer in case of fraud automatically. The errors returned from the API are often unhelpful, and 500 errors are common when a validation error should be received.

Branch has solved the issue of our users receiving delayed payouts with expensive fees. This has led to a happier userbase and an overall improved user experience

**What do you like best about Branch?**

I like that Branch allows me to take out money before I get paid. I'm a single mom with 2 kids and sometimes I need money now and it can't wait. Branch allows me that flexibility. I also really like that Branch allows you to take out money more than once per pay cycle. With our previous service, you could take money out, but you better make sure you got what you needed because you could only do it once. Branch allows me to access my pay check money as many times as I need to in between pay dates.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

At my company everyone is salaried. Branch doesn't compute that well in my opinion. It would be nice if the money was just available at the beginning of the pay cycle instead of having to accrue daily. It's not like my salary is flexible based on hours worked. I know that our company is different from most others that they work with though in that regard.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel like Branch is solving a lot of budgeting issues that people have. Especially now when not a lot of people have savings or if they do, it's not a lot of savings. I am a paycheck-to-paycheck person and Branch helps by allowing me access to money when and if I need it.

The Branch app experience has been really great compared to past direct deposit card companies we have worked with before. The onboarding process was seemless, and the user experience has been great.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

So far I have not run into anything that I dislike about branch. Any issues that we have run into have been rectified very quickly, and were caused by human error on our side.

Branch allows us to offer a no cost payment option for our employees that do not have access to traditional bank accounts or other direct deposit methods. Their integration into apple and google pay has also been a huge win for employees that do not like carrying arounds cards.

I like that the employees sign up, and I get an email being notified to update their banking information. It's also nice that employees can get some cash early before payday.

It seems a little harder for Minors to sign up for this program.

Keeping employees happy being able to work for cash the next day. This allows them to have any gas money if needed to get to the next shift.

From the initial setup to daily operations, their staff is extremely helpful and available to help whenever I need them.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Some of the information you need to input has to be exact. An example is the date of birth for each worker has to be Year-Month-Day. This is not a huge deal, but rather something to get used to and expect.

We are currently in the process of integrating Branch with our new operational software to streamline payments to our workers. Branch has been extremely helpful and available to help with this process.

Our employees love the direct deposit option and they are appropriately using the cash advance options.
Our account rep is amazing and responsive.

Minors cannot get the cash advance. 
We sometimes have issues at the end of the pay period.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

As a business owner, the simple setup and the ease of use are my favorite part of using Branch. It makes operations easier. Our credit card tips for employees were outweighing the amount of paper cash that we brought in each day which meant that we had to pull money from our bank account to pay out tips to employees. It was a headache to manage and a nightmare to audit. Branch has simplified all of that and our employees are happy with the change too.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

There is not a single thing that I dislike about Branch. It is shocking how easy it is to use and how great their customer service is for both the business owner and the employees. I have never had a vendor that operated as flawlessly as Branch.

Our credit card tips were outnumbering the amount of physical cash we brought in during a shift. Our tipped employees had to be paid with money from the register which made our drawers short every day. We had to pull money from the bank account every few days to make up for the negative balance in our registers. It was such a nightmare to audit and made it difficult for our managers to know if their registers were accurate. Switching to Branch has allowed up to eliminate the exchange of cash tips and now we don't have to worry about having enough money on hand to pay out tips.  It is also a convenient option for our employees that don't have a bank account of their own. We have seen many employees use the Branch card for their direct deposit as well. Branch direct deposit request forms come directly to me and I don't have to worry about missing or incorrect information on the form.

I was constantly running to the bank to withdraw cash to pay my servers! This system gives them a debit card with their money within 1 hour of close of business and the servers are happy too!

the hassle if a server loses their debit card. The tech savvy servers are fine. They have figured out all the ins and outs but the other ones need a little encouragement.

Nothing really. Have had some issues with ID verifications but mostly errors on our end. My rep fixed the issues quickly.

Offering easy access to our crew's pay. With most of our crew on direct deposit, we are saving time not having to distribute paychecks.   Also many of our crew who might not have been eligible for bank accounts qualify so they really like it.

Inability to customize outgoing text messages sent to associates to raise awareness from their employer and not spam. Would love to see more customization.

Branch is a payment solution for modern times. Highly recommend

Replaced our old pay card vendor which we had trouble contacting for help and the inability of associates to access funds without their card. Branch has resolved that with good customer service and in-app capabilities

We run payroll with paper checks daily; M-F, 8 A to 5 P.  This encourages numerous disruptions and constant interruptions.  By moving our payroll to the Branch card we can maintain daily payroll in a significantly more efficient manner, reduce supplies costs and minimize disruptions.

reconciling my bank account with both payroll withdrwals and the Branch debits in lump sum twice daily.

The product works very well, and we have had minimal issues.  The team at Branch has been very consultative and helpful throughout the launch and since.

There are a couple of states where we don't feel comfortable with the legal framework, but this is not really a branch issue.

I have really enjoyed the bulk disbursements feature and the mobile magic link for onboarding new employees.

I think there needs to be additional integrations with hour tracking/shift scheduling software.  We use when i work, and this would make the process of sending disbursements much quicker.

Having the capability to send weekly payouts and unlimited disbursements has really been the biggest advantage to using branch over other services.

Go for it.  Branch is an awesome benefit to employees and is very easy to administer.

One of the biggest benefits realized by employees is the ability to access money when they need it.  If a bill is due, they have access to funds to pay it rather than wait until payday and possibly encounter late fees.

The ease of use.  It requires minimal troubleshooting or work on my part. Our employees all love it and it has eliminated our need for cash on hand to pay out delivery drivers.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Nothing it is great!  It does everything we need it to do. The biggest challenge comes from the end of our managers and making sure they follow all of the steps to set up employees properly.

**Recommendations to others considering Branch:**

If you are like us and struggling to keep cash on hand, I highly recommend Branch. We have multiple stores and started by testing just one. We made sure everything was running smoothly and then added a second. After about a month we rolled out to the remaining. The first day was our biggest challenge. After that it was smooth sailing.

Running out of cash because everybody pays with a card. We pay out tips and mileage reimbursement to our delivery drivers. During COVID we were constantly having to run around to bring more cash to stores.

The support we received from the people trying to enroll. A lot of the time the hotline wasn't answered and the emails they wrote were not returned.

It is simple to sign up and use! No Fees! Our employees value the insight into their spending habits and how to not only have a fee free banking account, but also learn to control their financial freedom.

There is nothing to dislike. The product works as advertised.

We use a payroll service that does not do written checks and we have a lot of employees without bank accounts. This helps them set up a fee-free account for direct deposits, as well as learn a bit about their spending habits.
