What do you like best?

Considering most programming items proceed to improve and execute customer proposed updates, I value Clearview's workshops, where clients can proceed with their InFocus training on cutting edge levels. They have improved about including instructional exercises and preparing modules, and in any event, including individual workshops to help grow my insight and study the product. For a little firm the in focus is entirely moderate, yet has all the usefulness that we can work like a medium to huge firm from a money related point of view. One advantage I have acknowledged is the capacity to make minor alters to Accounting passages without returning re-try something. The adaptability of this product is unrivaled. This product can coordinate all parts of our business, from timesheets to discount reports, invoicing, and charge installment, and so forth It is an all-inclusive resource sort of programming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Even though thus product is almost perfect however to create remain solitary explanations and submit to the customer it must be done manually versus a mass email dispersion. Another drawback is that it doesn't have a payroll application. On the off chance that you do in-house payroll, you will require a different programming product to run close by InFocus. From a client (non-authoritative) viewpoint, it very well may be hard to make an outline or to recognize the things after some time without looking back through dates and entries. Interface is somewhat outdated. Some standard reports you get in items like QuickBooks are absent. Versatile timesheet is also somewhat old yet works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Overall, we can say that despite its flaws it helps in saving enormous amount of time by overcoming invoicing. All data contribution to one framework. Capacity to have extends and invoicing integrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Unanet A/E Powered by Clearview is specially designed for engineers and architects to estimate the capability and project budget. This application is even more realistic in making the plans and budgets to implement in project promotions. Hence, the tool is helpful in calculating the milestones and we can have a clear idea about our production and development. The powerful application tracks the project from making to selling steps and helps to find the best suitable prices in the market. So, we are amazed by its effects on the system and market as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

This application doesn’t have a payroll application and I would have to install a separate application for this purpose. Thus, this tool is not that much helping in providing the project’s summary for allocating the previous detail. This issue is not very serious to consider and might be upgraded in the latest versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Considering Unanet A/E Powered by Clearview, most program items proceed to move forward and actualize client-suggested overhauls, I appreciate Clearview's workshops, where clients can approach there in focus structure to the highest level. The program is helping us by counting our revenue with greater capacity and there is no hurdle in making a budget and overall production plans. Our work is running smoothly and all I can say, this tool is very beneficial in communication with clients with a strong and compact strategy to emphasize the actual work. What do you like best?

Unanet has excellent support, knowledge base and consultants. Knowledgeable about service businesses. Product is great as puts the power in PM's hands to manage their projects from task assignments to profitability via real time reports. The full ERP stack has great setup and reporting relating to cost pools and allocations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is not much to dislike. The reporting module takes some time to master as so many reports and items pre-populated to sort through to figure out the primary reports to get everyone focused on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Limit customizations and change your processes to how Unanet is configured. Better to stay in the standard configuration and stay updated with all of the latest features than not. Unanet can handle all situations so listen to the consultants during implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like it's ease of use. It does everything that you'd expect and A&E ERP system to do. From managing the basics such as payables, receivables and billing to project management and financial reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't like the fact that you cannot archive and compress historical data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Clearview InFocus provides greater bang for the buck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When an A&E firm can tell which projects and types of projects are most profitable to them, they build a basis for solid cost estimation and a track record of performance to help drive efficiencies into business development processes. This enables them to focus on projects that are best suited for firm skill sets which will, in turn, increase win rates. Being able to identify and provide past performance information to customers is a key differentiator in the bid cycle. InFocus does this for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are having some difficulty syncing InFocus Jobs with our email server so that we receive email messages for new purchase orders, closing of the GL period, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The ERP itself is great. But what really makes a significant difference is the Clearview support staff. They are pleasure to work with and have been very responsive to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We recently switched from self-hosted to the cloud and it has worked very well. That means that we receive updates automatically. We no longer have to download them and install them ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

All of the modules and interfaces are very customizable and the software in general is very versatile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The product updates that happen every so often, maybe once a week or once a month, don't do well with slow internet service. Therefore my users cannot even log in to do their time sheets because the update is required before login. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Go with the cloud based version. While it does require an internet connection to access it, you do not have to maintain any servers onsite and this makes it easier to keep everything up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software allows us to consolidate a lot of information all into one place. Data on clients, vendors, employees, projects and more. Having this all in the same database allows us to run very detailed reports which is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

One can fill out a timesheet quickly as well as the expense sheet. Drop-down lists are useful... if you know what is in them. It is clear to add OT to your timesheet and continue to fill out the timesheet. It is also nice that the program checks itself through spellchecking, saving before moving on, and properly inputting codes and other information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Following the previous comment, you need to know what is inside it. That is something that each company needs to prepare but the program could lead to a simpler setup. There could be more guidance for the company on setting up the program for each user. The labor codes that I am assigned in the beginning do not match what I ultimately use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Proper guidance and tutorials are necessary to get new workers up and running with the program. Intermittent reminders and usage tips will help with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One can easily work the program as long as one knows the program. The OT extension, drop-down lists, and expense sheet direct mileage makes time spent on filling out the sheets really quick and easy. Breaking out the Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ease of transition from one software to another. It is a very easy software to learn and use. I have been using since 2010, and it has progressively gotten better and better. New features are always coming on board. Trust met...you will like it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Reports are good but I required a great deal of customization to get the results needed. The one downside is that it does not have a payroll application. If you do in-house payroll, you will need a separate software to run along side InFocus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are a small architectural firm and opted to change to Clearview InFocus when the program we were using was getting too complicated and too expensive. InFocus met our needs in all our required billing, project tracking, etc., but for a smaller investment. Very easy to use.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a workhorse software. I can't say enough about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

One thing I like most about Infocus are the Gridgits on the dashboard that provide various information all in one place. I also prefer this program because of the flexibility in entering data so there is no more deleting something because you have to make a minor change. Infocus has a variety of reports that are easy to understand that provide a wide array of data. I also appreciate check processing in Infocus for Accounts Payable and Employee Reimbursables because it is very easy to use especially with the recent transaction tab. Timesheets are very easy to enter and approve in Infocus and benefits hours are easy to see for each employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

One thing I like least is that some functionality of Infocus is not user-friendly (i.e. having to use F4 instead of Enter). I also would like to see benefit accrual more automated and payroll integration with outside software (i.e. Pensoft) made more seamless for companies that have salary plus employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One benefit I have realized is the ability to make minor edits to Accounting entries without having to go back redo something. The flexibility of this software is unmatched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

* Reasonable setup and ongoing price per seat. Monthly billing available.

* Quick and easy setup. We were online within 24 hours and had our data converted from Deltek within 7 business days.

* Great technical support via dedicated user login message board interface. Answers/response are usually taken care of in under 2 hours for non-critical/emergency issues.

* InFocus Custom Reports and Invoice Designs can be created and edited using the SQL Business Intelligence Development Studio 2005 from Microsoft. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The only real downside so far has been speed of the interface. We had this as an onsite server and response times were awesome with our own dedicated server. I would have hoped that with SaaS that the background horsepower for their servers would be a little better than what it is. Requests take approximately 4x as long to process as when we tested it as a local SQL installation. Please keep in mind that this is a "feels like" statement and not a technically measured out in milliseconds statement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It has all the blows a whistles SAP has to offer. For me, it was very important that InFocus had strong internal controls in order to preserve the integrity of the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Statements. In order to submit statements, it has to be manually generated versus the automated process to generate monthly invoices and mass emails to the clients. However, clients do receive a copy of their statement when an invoice is generated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have experienced unlimited benefits. The current project I am working with InFocus is, backlog projections tied to financials, live updates in InFocus. The greatest of all has been to streamline our process, have accurate and updated project information easily accessible to project managers, the partners in charge, and accounting. Prior to InFocus, everything was in Quickbooks and only 1 person had access to the information. The data gathered in Quickbooks was not accurate and could not be used for project analysis making the company utilize archaic methods. Project set-up and invoicing was painful as Quickbooks did not allow for multiple billing rates and flag reimbursable. InFocus has improved our company process in every aspect possible, project creation, billing, project management, HR, and accounting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

With hundreds of projects and five offices our managers need to stay current on the status of their work and have the tools to develop new proposals. InFocus is indispensable for personnel management and project performance. Plus it provides financial statement and accounting data that is crucial for senior management and independent accountants. The data available and the variety of the reports are limitless. Also, our clients want their invoices and reports in a wide variety of styles. The open structure and adaptability of the InFocus system is a constant marvel at design and intuition.

We worked with Clearview for a couple of months in order to transfer our existing clients, projects, time records and accounting records to our new system. With over 16,000 historical projects and a current work in process in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, we matched to the penny. Working with them is a pleasure.
