The software walks you step-by-step through the entire filing process, and everything is easy to understand. There is life help and the ability to ask and answer questions along the way. It also provides reviews to ensure everything is being done correctly. It reduces time greatly and is far more convenient than making an appointment with an accountant or filing by paper. The software is ridden with bugs that display incorrect information regarding taxes. With TurboTax, it is very likely that the tax return you file will be different from what you sign your name on. Their customer support team is among the worst in the world, so they will not investigate these software bugs. From home office expenses to travel costs for book signings, it covers every base. easy and intuitive interface with ease of use and amazing feedback

The way it loops between categories and adjust previous categories if you miss some. And also the review is thorough.

Customer support is also amazing, either be it the public and free for technical issues or the access for additional tax expertise.

What do you like best about TurboTax Self Employed?

I like that when it works, it's smooth and easy. As long as you have simple taxes, it can be a great product. Even if you have complicated taxes, it can be pretty decent. Everything is all good until the product breaks.

It's something that you just use once a year, but after you invest hours entering things in, you find out that it lacks the most basic feature: being able to actually submit the taxes. It makes it really hard to implement as a tool for your taxes.

Another nice feature is that it integrates with your banks, but this also does not work all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TurboTax Self Employed?

I recently ran into a glitch. I was excited when TurboTax seemed ready to help with an online chat and screenshare. That's when I found out the ugly truth: The app (after I had finished entering EVERYTHING and spent 3 hours on taxes) had a glitch that would not let me submit. The guy on the chat tried to help, but after going through everything three times it would still not work.

Then he sent me to their engineering team, which sent me to a help article, which was just about doing the same thing over again. Now I'm stuck waiting 30+ minutes to try and get someone on the phone. It's terrible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Has great UI/UX design which helped me extensively during my work term, as a beginner in the industry as well as a new individual in the country- this software was very easy to use and do my taxes.
