"Efficient Reporting Tool with Room for Growth"
What do you like best about Titania Nipper?

I like Titania Nipper for its portability and ease of accessibility, no matter where I am. The tool offers license allocation without hassle. I appreciate its ability to relieve the manual part, especially when checking CIS benchmarks and NIST frameworks. Using it as a core tool for network tool assessment, I can simply upload our configuration, and it generates reports in seconds. Among the various products I've tested for network assessment, Titania Nipper stands out for its cost and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?

I think they can improve on adding support for Chinese brands of firewalls, as we are gradually transitioning to these brands due to the latest regulations in our region. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Useful Assessments with Strong Standards Support and an Easy-to-Use GUI"
What do you like best about Titania Nipper?

The results from the tool’s assessment are clear and useful. The documentation it provides is already precise and easy to follow. I also like the frameworks and standards it supports, as well as the additional options the user can choose from, such as CIS, NIST, and many more. The GUI is user-friendly: you simply upload the configuration of a network device (for example, a firewall, switch, or router), and it automatically assesses it for misconfigurations and flags findings based on the standard or framework you select. What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?

From using it, I’ve noticed a few issues. Sometimes it reports false positives: it will flag a finding, but when I check the device’s own GUI, there isn’t actually a finding there. Also, the CVE vulnerability information for the device version doesn’t seem very accurate. It may flag a version with multiple CVEs, yet when we double-check online, some of those CVEs are already resolved or not applicable to the assessed device version. "Nipper: Streamlined Network Reviews, Needs Device-Specific Tweaks"
What do you like best about Titania Nipper?

I use Titania Nipper for network device configuration review, and it helps me easily scan our organizational network devices in a more structured and seamless format. I really appreciate its ability to provide recommendations and ratings for each misconfiguration found, as it helps in preparing my report and confidently communicating to the team about what exactly needs to be done. The ratings are also useful for understanding the criticality of issues. What I like most is that they constantly make updates and take feedback seriously. There was an instance when I had issues scanning a certain version of firewall (Firepower)because it wasn't supported, but after reaching out, they assured me it was something they were working on, and true to their word, it was updated. The initial setup of Titania Nipper was pretty straightforward, which I found convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?

I think they need to work more on specific devices. For instance, when I want to scan wireless controllers, they give me recommendations as if it were a router or switch, which is frustrating going back to the team with certain features or configurations that the device cannot even take. Cisco precisely, in this case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Holistic Network Management with Titania Nipper"
What do you like best about Titania Nipper?

I use Titania Nipper for network administration. I love that it is a holistic system, allowing us to integrate different parts of the network. It helps us monitor every aspect of our network. I find every aspect of the tool very helpful in our environment, especially how it converts very complex configuration data into understandable reports that help us prioritize remediation actions. What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?

The only issue that I could list is that since we are in LATAM and the central offices are in the UK, the communication with the helpdesk goes slow. Our time zones are not the same, so if I have an issue at 3:00 pm in Mexico and report it to tech service, I receive help the next day. A 24/7 helpdesk or having an office here in Mexico could work. "Very Fast Software, not all devices are supported and previous relied on using an older version"
What do you like best about Titania Nipper?

Software is very quick and it only takes a few seconds for it to complete a review. The support is very good, the team are always happy to help with anything. Progress moving from version 2 to 3 has been slow. Originally the new v3 version had limited support for devices, but slowly it caught up to v2. This meant for a while we were having to use both versions of the tooling Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?

Not all devices are supported, so we have to use an old version. This was not ideal having to maintain a server with two different versions. Check point firewalls are extremely difficult to audit and often give errors, however this might be more of a vendor issue that product, as other products do struggle with Check point devices. "Identifies Vulnerabilities with Actionable Insights"

I appreciate that it shares actionable recommendations, provides accurate assessments, and supports continuous improvement. What stands out is that it doesn't just list issues but gives clear recommendations with evidence. Additionally, the initial setup is very easy since it is software-based. What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?

I would say licensing model and devices model support. Rest is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Titania Nipper?
