TinyURL Reviews & Product Details

TinyURL is a URL shortening and link management software that allows individuals and organizations to create short, easy-to-share links and manage how those links are used over time. It is commonly used by marketing teams, product teams, developers and operations teams that need reliable, long-lasting links for digital and offline distribution. At its core, TinyURL converts long web addresses into shorter URLs that are easier to share across channels such as email, SMS, social media, print materials, QR codes and internal tools. Unlike many basic URL shorteners, TinyURL links are permanent by default, meaning they do not expire unless the user chooses to change or disable them. This makes the platform suitable for long-term campaigns, documentation and public-facing resources. TinyURL also functions as a link management platform, offering tools that help users organize, control and analyze their links. Users can create custom aliases, group links with tags, update destination URLs, set expiration rules and generate QR codes tied to their short links. For tracking and measurement, TinyURL provides link analytics, including click counts, referrers, geographic data, devices and traffic trends over time. For teams and high-volume use cases, TinyURL supports bulk link creation and API access, allowing links to be generated and managed programmatically. This is useful for workflows such as SMS messaging, marketing campaigns, product notifications and automated systems that require large numbers of short links. TinyURL also supports branded domains, enabling businesses to use their own custom domains instead of a shared shortening domain. This helps improve brand recognition and trust when links are shared externally. Founded in 2002, TinyURL is one of the oldest and longest-running URL shortening services and is used globally by individuals, small businesses and enterprise organizations that need a simple, reliable, and scalable solution for link shortening and link management.

"Robb Tiny URL Review"

5/5

What do you like best about TinyURL?

Quick, easy, and painless. You can use it at a minimal level and it still does the job. I like that a lot of the functions are automated, especially copying the shortened URL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyURL?

The screen can get too cluttered for my liking. You can get overwhelmed with all the stuff on the screen if you are not focused. I'd like to see them simplify the screen and just make all that other stuff menu-driven options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyURL?

Hard to dislike a system that works exactly how it's supposed to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TinyURL:

If you want a quick and easy system for shortening urls, TinyURL is the solution. I love that I can copy and paste a long url into the TinyURL site, click "shorten", then "copy", and in seconds I have what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TinyURL solving and how is that benefiting you?

I often shorten urls when using them on social media, especially Twitter where few characters are allowed. Sometimes I use it to disguise the content that generally displays in the url (ex. www.reazo.com/home-sellers-bible), so the url doesn't give away too much info. Customers click it because they're curious. A good way to AB test the effectiveness of a descriptive vs. shortened url. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent URL Shortner I Have Used so Far"

5/5

What do you like best about TinyURL?

The best thing about TinyURL is that it's quick and easy to use. I also provide the clicks analytics to see how many URL clicks we are getting. I have used this tool for performance marketing analytics and it's worth using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyURL?

One major issue is that its analytics dashboard doesn't provide deep insights into the URL clicks. Also the number of URLs that we can shorten is a bit less in their basic plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TinyURL is So Quick and SO Easy to Use!"

5/5

What do you like best about TinyURL?

The option to customize my URL! It's quick and very easy to use - no 'learning process'! I like the link history option too, along with the fact that I don't 'have' to log in - I usually don't have time to log in so I can use the tool quickly! Some of the competitors don't have a 'customize' option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyURL?

Nothing - it's extremely easy to use and I refer it to clients all of the time. It always works perfect. I don't have any recommendations for improvement - it does everything I need! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TinyURL:

Try it and see how easy it is! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TinyURL solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using much shorter URL's! Benefit is a shorter URL! And I like that I don't have to log in if I don't need the history. I am more productive because it looks better than a long URL -and- I don't have to take the time to log in! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
