For over a year, I have paid monthly at $12.99/month. Recently my credit card expired, and I updated it. When I updated it, TinyURL charged me for an entire YEAR at once at $119.88 instead of $12.99. At first, it wasn't a huge deal; I figured they would correct it and refund the additional 11 months. NOPE! Not even close. First, there is NO NUMBER to reach them. The number listed on my credit card for this transaction is a Google Voice number that is no longer in service. Google Voice??? Really. That's the same service the scammers trying to sell me a warranty on a car I sold 12 years ago use. So it forces you to go into your TinyURL account and submit a ticket. I submitted the ticket over two months ago. TWO MONTHS AGO! I have responded to that ticket three times, but they have never responded. NOT ONCE. You can get an accurate idea of how good or bad a company is the moment there is an issue that needs resolution. If you use these clowns, pray nothing ever goes wrong that affects your business because they will completely ignore you. These days, so many URL's are three or four lines long which is not only unattractive and unwieldy; but also discourages people from using the link. One click of the TinyURL button and a complex 4 or 5 line url, can easily be transformed into a neat and manageable URL which appears more inviting and more managable if sharing with others. I also like the way you are able to customise your own shortened URL's making the address even more easy to remember - especially helpful when sharing a link verbally. Users need very little guidance, resources or set-up time to begin using this link shortening tool. **What do you dislike about TinyURL?** Very little. Just occasionally, I have known some company email protocols reject emails containing shortened URL's just in case they are hiding something behind it. However, this has probably happened twice when sending tens of thousands of emails over a ten year period.
