&lt;p&gt;My POV as a Test Engineer:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Free works for tiny teams, but you’ll hit walls fast: no SSO/MDM, weak audit trails, basic accruals, flaky calendar/Slack sync.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Mobile-first picks:&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Connecteam&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(frontline UX),&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;e-days&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(complex policies/reporting),&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Rippling&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(best if you already use its HR/payroll).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Do a 1-week pilot: test offline + time zones/DST, push delivery, calendar-sync lag, API/payroll export, delegated approvals.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bottom line: once you’re ~50+ or have compliance needs, go paid.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
