It has multiple and different connectors for servers and endpoints. It has various supports like load balancing, section 508 compliance, etc.; it has a sophisticated identity management capability. Word mining and risk campaigns are the most valuable features of this solution. We can decide who can access which application on which previlage. **What do you dislike about Symantec IGA?** Though Symantec Identity Governance and Administration (Symantec IGA) has all the features, interaction with the application might be slightly better. The dashboard needs to be improved. Integration with other products needs improvement. Creating own connetors is bit challenging. Web portal need more cutomization, when compared to standalone tool the web portal performance is vey much low. **Recommendations to others considering Symantec IGA:** One-stop solution to manage both identity management and access control. Identity governance helps support overall IT security and regulatory compliance. Put into simpler terms, IGA means leveraging the most intelligent and efficient path to mitigating identity risk in your business. The virtual Appliance form factor combines all components of Symantec IGA into a single appliance. Prevents security vulnerabilities through real-time policy enforcement. It has a version of a virtual machine so we can download it, run it, configure it, and it would take about 10 to 15 minutes to configure the cluster or so. **What problems is Symantec IGA solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to secure our ID and access management by the real-time policy-based approaches and avoid the vulnerabilities. Entitlements certification helps us to examine and certify that privileges are appropriate. ### 3. Additionally, it allows us to advance without any inconvenience since this tool provides us with many features that help us improve the conditions of our company for better performance. Moreover, it allows us to constantly update our data. **What do you dislike about Symantec IGA?** There are some issues when using this tool, which sometimes does not allow us to use its technologies properly, but they are not major issues since it then remains stable and we can work adequately. **Recommendations to others considering Symantec IGA:** I recommend it to all those who want strategies to update guides and data supports for better optimization, improved stability, and security. **What problems is Symantec IGA solving and how is that benefiting you?** CA identity suite allowed me to use technology and the methods we implemented more efficiently to resolve any issues that arise with the required information. Additionally, this tool helped us a lot in terms of teamwork in our company, allowing us to work with optimism and confidence. It also benefited us greatly in terms of the company's productivity, managing the government and its entities in an essential and practical way. ### 5. The user provisioning and identity management solutions that we offer can give users access to what they want when they need it. **What do you dislike about Symantec IGA?** The solution increases operational efficiencies and user productivity while decreasing your help desk’s workload and costs. However, it can do better than that. **What problems is Symantec IGA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing the identities and access of users to on-premise apps and in the cloud is a critical function for today’s IT organizations that are under increased pressure to improve operational efficiencies while still remaining compliant. ### 6. Being able to write custom adapters for all kinds of endpoints is also a big plus, especially since now it supports Java which is lie an industry standard if you would. As a deliverer it is quite difficult to setup, it needs quite a few components but being able to determine graphically the approval workflows is definitely a big big plus. Finding orphaned accounts is also quite simple. Last but not least, self-service functions for end-users and strong password policy enforcement are two other pros of this solution. **What do you dislike about Symantec IGA?** As I said above, IdentityMinder is quite heavy on the infrastructure side and requires a lot of work to set it up quite right. Workflows are necessary tasks to get going to avoid doing everything manually which is quite complicated on IdentityMinder. Also it is not such a good idea having two different repositories to get two-ways synchronization. Design could be simpler. **Recommendations to others considering Symantec IGA:** If you need Identity Management without integrating in a bigger suite it could really be what you need. **What problems is Symantec IGA solving and how is that benefiting you?** User id management and centralization, clean and controlled identities accross all softwares and systems. All users can now use a single user and password without having a specific SSO solution and without having to remeber dozens of different passwords with different expiration dates. ### 14. However we really do not use this product to it's fullest potential. I feel like it could do so much more for us. **What do you dislike about Symantec IGA?** Somewhat slow and not always reliable. We have had multiple instances where the hosted version of CA Identity Minder had become non responsive and we have had to resort back to using AD to perform unlocks and password resets. **What problems is Symantec IGA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Secure manner in which to reset user passwords and unlock accounts. ### 15. My best recommendation is to do a side-by-side comparison with a couple of other products to see how each stacks up. **What problems is Symantec IGA solving and how is that benefiting you?** We implemented IdentityMinder as a better, easier-to-manage alternative to Active Directory for our 35000+ retail store users who did not require the other benefits provided by having an Active Directory account (email, workstation access, etc.) ### 16.
