I love Splashtop Remote Access and it is crucial to my workday. The remote access feature is fantastic as it allows me to switch from one PC to another or to my laptop when at home, and provides access when I’m away from home. I like that Splashtop Remote Access allows us to see the last time a user has logged in and what user is currently logged in. I like using Splashtop Remote Access because it offers ease and security. It performs excellently as a remote login tool, especially compared to others like VNC, TeamViewer, RemotePC, and Log Me In, where I find the price of Log Me In much higher. The installation process was straightforward, though loading it on multiple computers took some effort. My only complaint is that we have trouble with certain Intel graphic drivers. Artifacts of windows stay on the screen or the refresh is drastically delayed. There are mitigations for it, but it makes those particular systems hard to work with. You have to change the way the connection works in Splashtop and then you get a more reliable, albeit slow experience on that system. I appreciate that Splashtop Remote Access provides superior performance compared to other remote access products, especially for our CAD team, by minimizing lag and offering a seamless experience. I find it incredibly valuable that Splashtop works efficiently even for our lower-need users, mitigating issues that are typically related to end-user knowledge rather than software malfunction. The ease of installation and maintenance of this software is a significant advantage for me, as it doesn't require admin credentials for updates, simplifying technical management tasks. The web-based installer feature stands out, allowing me to send installation links to users across different companies with minimal interaction required from our internal team, significantly saving time and labor costs. I dislike the access control process for individual users in Splashtop Remote Access. It's tedious to add an entire team to a single computer through the admin portal since each user must have distinct access granted to their account. The remote access allows me to troubleshoot with clients when they are working on bookkeeping programs or spreadsheets without leaving my office thereby allowing me to have a more efficient use of my time and also making it more convenient to my clients to receive support immediately when they run into problems. I use the remote access frequently; it is easy to log in and use the program. My clients find it easy to implement the program using the link to set it up on their computer. The reminder of maintenance which appears on the software screen until the company has completed it. Obviously this is a great that the makers are giving the user lots of time to understand the services will not be available for an hour in weeks to come.
