Having used Screensharing programs before, this is by far the best one that I have come across. **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** There is only one downside to the subscription that I have signed up to and that I can't spread the screen share over multiple screens when I'm working remotely from my laptop through dual screens; this isn't a problem for me and doesn't detract away from how great the app is. **Recommendations to others considering Splashtop Remote Access:** Having used several Screensharing / Remote desktop companies in the past similar to Splashtop, Splashtop is competitively priced, reliable, and is very user-friendly. I would strongly recommend somebody buy the premium version of Splashtop. With Splashtop I can install on any workstation, and remotely log in from any location where I have internet access. I can also use a multitude of different devices to login including tablets, phones, and computers. **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** The only dislike I have with Splashtop is that there isn't an option to pay once for a lifetime key for the software. Instead, a monthly or yearly subscription plan is required to use the software. As long as her wi-fi is on I can take command and fix anything quickly. If wi-fi is down I have her plug it into her router and I can restore her wi-fi. For my own parents in their 80s I have it set up so that they have to allow my access, they can call me and I can advise them on fish emails, pop-up scams, and other challenges they face and avoid serious problems. **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** Not a lot to dislike. It installs quickly and it doesn't take a computer wiz to install, deploy, or use it. Once it is installed it's a simple click to get into the remote computer. Once you are logged into the computer it is fast and there is no lag like some other software. The tools are intuitive to use as well. The install is fast and simple too! **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** Nothing really, except for the additional password part in the settings. It is not clear that is an additional password and that the original password still applies. The software is reliable and easy to use, but there isn't quite as robust of tools as other software. he tools are a bit simplistic, but it doesn't really distract from the use. Overall I would still get the software a solid "A" grade, not even an "A-". Kudos to the engineers! **What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is used for remote access to computers for occasional use. We use it to allow a remote employee to gain access to a workstation for her to do a few hours of work each week. ### 29. Pricing is reasonable. I used to use two other companyies for many years. But each year the price just kept going up exponentially which really is unacceptable. Splashtop had reasonable pricing. And I am hoping the pricing will remain relatively consistent each year so that I don't feel the need to look elsewhere. I only login remotely for about 10 minutes once a week. So this product works great for me if pricing can remain about the same. It is easy to login remotely. I like the user-friendliness. Once logged in it is very easy to navigate. **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** The separate software for remote vs host is a little confusing. But once it is setup it is very easy to use after that. I really don't dislike anything. But my less tech-savvy coworkers were also interested in having remote access. I was able to train them to use Splashtop with very little difficulty. I appreciate that it does require immediate permission from the primary user to add a remote access computer for security's sake. Finally, it is very stable. The first software that I selected for remote access kept crashing. **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** When I originally installed the software, I was able to easily set up blanking of the remote computer screen. In the past year, I have had some challenges with that. This does exactly what i need. Able to access my PC and other PCs using a simple app you can download on your device or even on another PC. Easy to use and very intuitive! If you are looking for a Team Viewer alternative, then this is the app for you! **What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?** Certain programs i use do not seem to work, but its minor details. I use Rocket Dock for a clean MAC look on my PC. So when accessing my PC from elsewhere, it does not work. No big deal... with windows all you have to do is type in the search bar what you are looking for and the PC finds it on its own. Also when you log out of the software, the PC you logged out of the Num Lock seems to disactivate... again, no big deal, all you have to do is re-press it on your keyboard. **What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its plain and simple. I solved the need to use Team Viewer with their outragous prices! With Splashtop you get all what you had (and even more built in options like Dark Screen when logged into the PC so others can't see your movements) all for a very reasonable price! ### 38.
