Restores tend to be pretty straight forward unless you need to get like an entire mailbox. **What do you dislike about Spanning Backup?** Kaseya ruined this. The way licenses are modified was supposed to be better but it does not let you update it right in the moment where I found myself needing to come back to it to update the license whenever the system decided to recognized that users were removed. **What problems is Spanning Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is an easy to use SaaS backup for both Microsoft and google workspace. The old system we used was a nightmare to manage the licenses and this makes it much easier and super easy for clients to access if they need to ### 3. It is reliable and easy to manage. The daily backup review page is nice to see successes and failures for each assigned account. Shared Mailbox backups are also a nice addition, as multiple hands in a shared account make for missing email more often than with personal accounts. **What do you dislike about Spanning Backup?** I would prefer an option to choose a single .PST file if my ISP bandwidth will allow for backing up user email upon exit such as terminations or resignations. It currently breaks these up <10gb .pst files and makes for a bit of a hassle to load the files into Outlook and review them if required. **What problems is Spanning Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** Originally we needed a new backup solution for on prem Exchange when we offloaded it to the cloud. Previously our on-prem Exchange environment was backed up locally and offsite with Unitrends. When we migrated email to the cloud, we were no longer able to utilize the current backup solution. Cancellation and refund process has been going on for many months. I would like to see more parts of M365 backed up. Most of the data is backed up but they are still working on certain features. I would also like the full path for files that can't be backed up so that I can research the error messages without a support ticket. I would also like a percent complete indicator to see how long the backup will take. Its a product thats riddled with bugs, does not work 1/2 the time! **What do you dislike about Spanning Backup?** The interface is riddled with issues. The displayed time does not reflect local time and users are asked to figure out what time zone it is in by reading documentation etc to figure out what data center and timezone thats in. Parts of the UI show users licensed and others say it's not. The section that says problems found, shows a generic error code, that makes no sense or points to a problem or a solution or allows a user to take action. The support team are baffled by the product and how badly things work as well. Events don't have information on what user action was taken on, i.e let's say a user was provisioned with a license, it would say the license was issued to a user, but not who it was etc. there is text, that has zero value! meaningless data! You get a partial backup alert and when investigating see that it's only a calendar item from a mailbox that hasn't been used in years. I tend to ignore the partial backup alerts. **What problems is Spanning Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** Befroe spanning we had no backup of our O365 environment. This allows us to have a complete backup and it doesn't consume any time managing it. ### 29. I did not really have to have much training and it was easy to figure out. It was very easy to implement as well and it intigrates pretty seamlessly into our Microsoft 365 environment. **What do you dislike about Spanning Backup?** Every day, I get a report for the day on the Spanning backups. Usually, everyday, there X number of "problems requiring attention". Alot of the itmes that are reported there are "Not Actionable". So there isn't anything that you can really do to clear that up. Most things clear up in a day or so, but if they don't, you have to contact support. Also, another item is that the sales people seem rather pushy. I get it, but it can be annoying. **What problems is Spanning Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** Spanning Backup is helping us more securly back up our Microsoft 365 environment. We use it for O365 and Salesforce and it serves the purpose well. Sales and Support are quick to respond and are very helpful. Implementation took all of 15 minutes and it is a set it and forget it type of product. All new mailboxes, OneDrive folders and SharePoint sites are automatically backed up without any admin intervention. **What do you dislike about Spanning Backup?** Interface could use a little update especially for pulling in AD users. Some users should not show up in the interface and I would like a way to hide these. It can make assigning licenses a bit difficult. They accepted my business to backup data at a specific cost per month, with no limits. Then after a couple of years they said I have too much data to back up and wanted a lot more money. When I asked them to send me my data or give me a tool to mass migrate my data to another platform, they could not give me a solution other than to individually download data from each user account. 2. The platform was unable to move my company account smoothly from one domain to a new domain when we changed our company name and domain. Their solution was to keep using our old domain. That was not possible. 3. They have always been available when some file was accidentally deleted from the google drive or mail and people noticed it after more than 30 days and it was no longer in the trash. Also some documents when deleted are not moved on the personal trash, because the property was of other company users, even if created for use by our company. The only way to restore them was by Spanning backup Restore, because previously set to backup the "Shared with me" documents.
