With my team we loved Gather up until they limited the number of members that could use it, and we didn't use it so much that it justified paying the licenses, so we moved to SoWork. We like the overall look of it and the meeting view, and the virtual assistant, even though we don't use it that much. **What do you dislike about SoWork?** Sometimes performance is poor, with character avatars disappearing. The mapmaking feature is also hard to navigate, and has almost no customization available. What few things you could upload (such as images) look weird most of the time. Premade floor plans are kind of bugged as well. **What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?** We like having a place to connect with each other and that is ludic at the same time. We use it mainly for team building and some calls. ### 4. It's even better with the avatars being able to react along with the emojis, making those camera-off meetings still engaging and interactive. SoWork also boasts excellent video communication tools, making it easy to connect with colleagues and clients in real-time, you just walk up to people like you would in-person. This is essential for effective collaboration and helps to bridge the gap between remote workers, by adding in a much better form of presence to the office space. Finally, SoWork’s AI note-taking tool, Sophia bot, is just a game-changer. This feature automatically takes notes during meetings and transcribes them for easy reference later on. The paid tiers are also super reasonable and provide significant benefits that are well worth the cost. (i.e a coffee pot that bubbles, or a tv that you can stream YouTube from, etc) **What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?** Isolation: SoWork’s avatars and emojis, help to foster a sense of community among remote workers and reduce feelings of isolation, since you can walk up to people, even with the cameras off and still feel connected. Ineffective communication: SoWork’s excellent video communication tools make it easy to connect with colleagues and clients in real-time, improving collaboration and reducing misunderstandings that happen over text based office tools. Inefficient note-taking: SoWork’s AI note-taking tool, Sophia bot, automatically takes notes during meetings and transcribes them for easy reference later on, saving time and ensuring that important information is not missed.
