## SoWork Reviews
 ### 1. SoWork Makes Our Global Remote Team Feel Like One Office

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed E. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork has been very helpful in bringing our remote team together in one shared virtual space. Our team members work across different countries and continents, so maintaining a sense of connection and making day-to-day communication feel natural can sometimes be challenging. The platform gives us a more engaging alternative to working through scheduled video calls and messaging apps alone. Team members can easily see who is available, approach one another for a quick conversation, collaborate informally, or simply feel more connected throughout the working day. It creates the feeling of being part of the same office, even though we are physically located in different parts of the world.
We particularly appreciate how SoWork supports spontaneous interactions. Instead of arranging a meeting for every small discussion, colleagues can quickly connect and resolve questions, which makes collaboration more efficient and personal. It has also helped new team members feel more integrated into the company and has strengthened the overall sense of team culture.
As with any virtual workspace, it takes a little time for everyone to build the habit of using it consistently. However, once it becomes part of the team’s daily routine, it adds real value.
Overall, SoWork has made remote working feel less isolated and has helped our international team feel like one connected group rather than individuals working from separate locations.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

It sometimes disconnects with occasional trouble signing in or staying connected. Would be nice to have more pricing options.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps connect the team together in one place especially that we are all located in different countries and interaction between the team is easier than setting up meetings on other platforms all the time.

 ### 2. SoWork Makes Remote Conversations Feel Natural—with Fast Setup and Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ibrahim E. | Flutter Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

We're a fully remote software team of 9, and the biggest thing SoWork fixed was the friction around small conversations. On Slack, a quick question meant either scheduling a call or writing three paragraphs. In SoWork you just walk over — proximity audio lets conversations start and end naturally, the way they do in a real office.
The interface is the reason adoption worked. Setup took under an hour and the whole team was in on day one with no training. Nobody needed a walkthrough; people just understood where they were and how to reach someone.
It also sits alongside our existing stack instead of replacing it. We still run async work in Slack, and SoWork integrating with it meant nobody had to abandon a tool they already depended on.
Performance has held up well — audio and video stay stable with the whole team in the space at once, which wasn't true of everything we tested.
The AI meeting summaries are the standout feature for us. Recorded calls come back as notes we can actually skim, so anyone who missed a call catches up in two minutes instead of sitting through a 40-minute recording.
On support: we had questions about plans and pricing before committing, and the CEO answered directly in the app within minutes. For a small startup where every subscription is a real decision, that kind of access is rare and it's part of why we signed up.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The main gap for us is reporting. There's no built-in end-of-day check-in and no way to export a month of activity per person, so pulling together what each teammate worked on still happens manually outside the tool. I raised it with the team and it's apparently close to launching, but it's not there today.
On pricing: there is a free tier, but the audio-only limit and the 30-minute meeting cap mean it works better as a trial than as a real workspace, so most teams will end up on a paid plan fairly quickly. Premium is fair value for what it does, but it's worth knowing that going in if you're an early-stage team watching every subscription.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before SoWork, our biggest problem was that everything had to be scheduled. We're fully remote across different locations, so a two-minute question became a calendar invite or a long Slack thread, and small blockers sat unresolved for hours because nobody wanted to interrupt anyone. Junior devs especially would stay stuck rather than ask.
Now the team works in a shared space during core hours, so those questions get answered by walking over. Blockers that used to sit half a day get cleared in a few minutes, and we've cut a noticeable amount of our scheduled sync meetings because the conversations happen naturally instead.
The second problem was meeting follow-up. Recordings existed but nobody watched them, so anyone who missed a call was out of the loop. The AI summaries turned that around — people catch up on a 40-minute call in about two minutes, which matters a lot for a team of 9 where one absent person can stall a task.
The overall benefit is that the team feels like a team again rather than nine people in separate rooms. That's harder to quantify than hours saved, but it's the thing we actually noticed in the first week.

 ### 3. Smooth Calls and Screen Sharing with Excellent AI Meeting Summaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph G. | Software Test Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I use it every day for voice/video calls and screen sharing, and it runs smoothly without much lag. Setup was easy so onboarding wasn't a problem. But my favorite part is the AI meeting summaries. I used to need other tools to remember what we discussed, and now it's built in. I get a summary after every meeting, so I don't have to take notes the whole time or ask teammates what was decided.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Not really much to complain about. Maybe multi-language support for the AI meetings would be nice since we don't all speak the same language. Other than that it works well for us.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a software test engineer and our team is mid-sized and remote. SoWork lets me just hop on a quick call or share my screen when I need to check something with a teammate, instead of setting up a meeting for every little thing. And the AI summaries mean I don't lose track of what was decided. Keeps things fast.

 ### 4. Game-Changer for Remote Team Reviews!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork has been a fantastic virtual office for our team! We use it constantly for our team reviews and the noise cancellation feature is a lifesaver. It perfectly blocks out background noise, making our communication clear and our meetings highly productive. It really helps our team stay connected and focused. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

There is a slight learning curve when bringing new team members into the virtual space for the first time. Navigating the office layout can take a few minutes to get used to, but everyone catches on pretty quickly.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the chaos of remote meetings and background distractions. With the excellent noise cancellation, our team reviews are completely quiet and professional, saving us time and helping us stay 100% focused on our work rather than fighting audio issues

 ### 5. SoWork: Our Remote Hub That Makes Collaboration Feel Like Working Side-by-Side

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxwell B. | CRM Developer, Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

We use SoWork as our main hub for fully remote teamwork. Since our whole team works remotely, we rely on it every day for voice and video calls to stay connected. We use it to talk through our tasks, sync up on what everyone is working on, and keep our day-to-day collaboration running smoothly. It feels less like jumping into a cold meeting and more like actually working alongside your teammates, which makes a big difference when you're not in the same office.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Not much, honestly. The occasional audio or connection hiccup is the main thing, and onboarding new teammates could be a little smoother. Otherwise it does what we need.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the disconnected feeling of remote work. Instead of scheduling separate calls for everything, we can quickly jump on voice or video, see who's around, and sort out tasks in the moment. It keeps the team connected and communication fast.

 ### 6. The closest thing to a physical office for remote teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Freddie J. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

The visual presence of the team. Just seeing everyone 'in the office' makes you feel like you're actually part of a team rather than just working alone at home. It naturally breaks down communication barriers.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

We occasionally experience audio hiccups that seem to be server issues on SoWork's end.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really builds a strong sense of presence. Remote work can feel lonely at times, but being able to see everyone around makes it feel much more like a real office. It helps solve that isolation problem for me and keeps the team vibe alive, so we feel more connected throughout the day.

 ### 7. PROXIMITY AT A DISTANCE

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Áquila T. | HEAD INFRASCTRUCTURE AND I.T., Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

No matter where my company colleague is, I will always be just a few steps away from him for conversations, solutions, or planned meetings, but especially to resolve those seasonal emergencies.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Sometimes the desktop app has some bugs like a blank screen, the onboarding was quite difficult to understand, including what the platform is capable of executing. Many times I am online working but my present time data seems not to change, I don't really know what counts towards these metrics.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The proximity of people working remotely is very good. Often conversations were lost on WhatsApp, Slack, Liner, or any other management app the company uses, but now it's easy to resolve and document the day-to-day.

 ### 8. Practical, easy to use, intuitive.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Walker J. | Gestor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

The practicality of everyday use, easy to set up, the audio and screen sharing are good, but with some bugs. To make it wonderful, they could just release the option to remove noise.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I think the body structure of the avatar is somewhat incomplete, it could have the option to make it fatter, thinner, more muscular, etc. The screen sharing bug is also annoying, after sharing the screen, the sowork kind of keeps bugging on the screen, opening and closing in a window. And the fact that the noise remover is only in the paid plan,

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the moment, only basic questions have been satisfied, the chat is precise and responds quickly.

 ### 9. Facilitate Interactions in Home Office, Intuitive Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anete B. | Atendente de Televendas, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I like the convenience of interacting with my coworkers using SoWork. It's very useful to be able to move around and leave my desk to go to my coworkers' desks and talk without needing to type. This really makes my work much easier. Additionally, I found the initial setup quite simple, smooth, and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Perhaps the screen sharing feature is sometimes a bit confusing. When it comes to sharing the screen, there are more than one option, at least four, and this sometimes leaves us confused. Perhaps simplify by unifying, so there aren't so many screen sharing options.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SoWork to interact more easily with my colleagues, facilitating communication while working from home.

 ### 10. Fun Virtual Workspace With Some Quirks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emin C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Since moving to remote work, we were worried about losing our team culture. SoWork completely solved that. It successfully brings back those spontaneous hallway chats and casual coffee breaks. Working from home doesn't feel isolating anymore.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I love the concept of a virtual workspace. However, the platform can feel a bit buggy after updates, and my laptop's fan runs quite loudly while I'm using it. Overall, it's a good platform that could use a little more polish on the technical side.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork replicates a physical office layout for our remote team, eliminating the constant need to schedule meeting links. By enabling quick, spontaneous conversations, it speeds up our daily communication and brings back natural workplace collaboration without the exhaustion of Zoom calls.

 ### 11. SoWork Brought Our Team Together

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel L. | Paid Traffic Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork has really helped me bring my team together. Since we started using the platform, we’ve felt more connected and in sync day to day. The pricing is good, too, which makes it an easy choice for us.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The UI and overall performance feel a bit heavy, especially on weaker devices.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It would be great to have a full iOS/Android app.

 ### 12. Quick, Easy, and Reliable Connectivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas d. | Analista de atendimento ao cliente, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I like the ease with which I can quickly engage in dialogue with people using SoWork. I can connect with my colleagues very quickly and easily, which is great. Additionally, I really like the screen mirroring; it works very well and I use it along with other tools. And the initial setup was very easy, very smooth.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The only thing I would improve in screen mirroring is that when you mirror the screen, it automatically mirrors the audio. I would remove it and add a function to remove the audio from the machine.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can communicate with my colleagues very quickly and easily on SoWork.

 ### 13. Sowork Strengthened Our Team Connection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matheus G. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Sowork has helped me integrate my team. Since we started using the platform, we’ve developed a stronger sense of teamwork and feel more connected overall.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I don’t think the integrations and intelligence are ideal for a work platform, and I wish it linked to more useful platforms.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork has a better performance and pricing than its competitors, thus solving my need to have a collaborative workspace with minimal cost

 ### 14. Ease of speaking with the team and meeting quickly

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team is working from home, so this brings everyone together.

 ### 15. Transformation of Remote Work with Advanced Resources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I like the customizations and possibilities of simulating a virtual office in SoWork. The video calls and AI meeting recordings are spectacular, and I use them all the time. I get a summary at the end of each meeting, so I don't forget any details. The initial setup of SoWork was very easy.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Sowork is perfect in everything!

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SoWork to communicate with my team quickly, maintaining the feeling of being in a physical office, even while working from home.

I like the ease of communication that SoWork provides. I also appreciate the virtual 'office' and the ability to share information and the screen with my colleagues. The initial setup was very smooth, and I got used to using SoWork very quickly.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I think you could enable the audio in screen sharing.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SoWork to facilitate problem-solving at work and improve communication with my colleagues.

 ### 17. Practicality that facilitates everyday tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

the practicality to perform daily tasks

communication with the work team

 ### 18. Easy to Move Around, Stay Connected, and Share—All in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

The distance, ease of moving around, staying connected, and ability to share.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Nothing that I can think of right now, they are doing well

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a team of remote workers, so instant availability picking up is GOLD.

 ### 19. Strengthen the daily bond with the collaborators

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel M. | Founder & Estrategista de Performance Rabbí Company, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Facilitate my relationship with our collaborators, generating a daily bond.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The values for our operation are a difficulty.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are closer in our daily lives

 ### 20. Fun, lighthearted, and excellent productivity boost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy T. | Head Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I love the immediacy of communication and the tactile action of "walking" to my colleagues to talk with them. In the real world, to collaborate with a remote colleague, I need to pick up my phone and find their contact info anyway, and this takes no more time and somehow feels more connected.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The only downside I have seen so far is the video calling isn't quite as reliable as Google Meets or Zoom. It's still very good though!

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we had was seamless collaboration with remote workers. We have an office, but for colleagues who cannot attend in person each day (or ever) it is difficult to collaborate for them. There was also the issue for management of seeing who is actually at work and when. We made it a procedure that when we work, whether in office or remote, we sign into SoWork so we are accessible for immediate communication at any time. If a manager tries to contact one of us in SoWork and we are only signed in but not actually using it, then they will know we are away from our desk. Because of the fun interface, uptake was easy. I think most managers will find that employees who are resistant to procedures or software to ensure they are actually productive while working remotely will be more warm to SoWork because it's like a game. Customize your avatar and work area! Log in when you start your day, go talk to your colleagues, sit down, and do something.

 ### 21. Boosted team communication and engagement with SoWork

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Before using SoWork, our team struggled with limited communication in other virtual office platforms. Since switching to SoWork, spontaneous and casual conversations among team members have significantly increased, making our internal communication much more active and lively. I also love how we can express our identities by customizing our avatars and office maps. This makes remote work more personal and fun.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

SoWork is great overall, but sometimes there is a slight delay when broadcasting messages, which can interrupt the flow of real-time communication.I’m looking forward to future updates that will make these even smoother.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using SoWork, our team struggled with a lack of spontaneous communication in other virtual office tools.
This sometimes made our remote team feel isolated and less connected.
After switching to SoWork, casual conversations and unplanned interactions have increased, making our internal communication much more lively and engaging.
This has helped us build stronger relationships among team members, even when working remotely.

 ### 22. Cool and Functional Digital Workspace with a lot of Personality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan B. | Graphic Desginer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork is super easy to drop right into and start using right away. The video-game-inspired design makes it extra easy if you're a gamer. It's easy to express yourself with all of the customization options and interacting with co-workers is a breeze and is super intuitive. I love how you can keep your camera on but not be seen until someone approaches you. Meetings are more fun because you can see everyone's avatars together, and I love that there is a more classic gallery-style view if seeing everything else is distracting.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Just tiny things, a few bugs here and there and I wish you could rearrange the order of people in the gallery-type mode when you are in a meeting with several people, but I am confident that any small qualms will be ironed out in time!

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes remote work more personal and engaging and includes the functions of multiple software in one.

 ### 23. Changed my Home Office experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

We came from Gather, and SoWork surprised us in every way. Great features, like topic chat, integrations, graphics, but also great support. We decided to stay and the team is loving it!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Takes too much processing from PC
Has resolution issues on smaller screens

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improves team collaboration

 ### 24. Great product with great customer service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie L. | Customer Support Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork is a great remote office space option. The platform offers a wide variety of options, allowing you to customize both your office and your avatar in fun and engaging ways. I've enjoyed getting creative and changing my office and avatar around. You can even include a status for the day and your mood. The user experience is seamless and enjoyable, making remote work feel more interactive and less isolating. What really sets SoWork apart, though, is their excellent customer service. They are always prompt, helpful, and genuinely seem to care about their users' experience. If you're looking for a remote office solution that combines functionality with a bit of fun, SoWork is definitely worth checking out!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I haven't come across any majoy downsides. Any suggestions our team has had the SoWork team has taken with great appreciation.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork is solving the problem of remote team collaboration and engagement. By providing a virtual office space, it has helped our team come together, making coworking a lot easier. The platform's interactive features and customization options create a sense of presence and community, which is often missing in remote work settings. This has significantly improved our communication, productivity, and overall team morale.

 ### 25. Capable Product with Personality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamara C. | Senior Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

We are so happy that we found Sowork! We love that Sowork provides fun, customizable options, has non-binary avatar options, is easy to sign up for, and the ease of login and use was a big plus. However, the most rewarding aspect of this platform is the customer service provided. This company is invested in the end user's experience and not only do they actively ask for feedback, they also listen to what feedback is provided. The team is super friendly and professional.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I have no dislikes to share of this platform. Any extremely picky, minor complaints I've had have already been addressed and taken seriously.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company is a remote-first environment and we continued to run into disengagement with our team. SoWork provides a platform that allows us all to cowork effectively, have one-on-ones, and provide engagement with building cute office spaces. It allows us to be more available for one another as well as makes video conferencing and screen sharing super easy in the moment.

 ### 26. We love SoWork

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork allows our engineering team to sync faster and therefore ship code quicker. It's so much easier to walk into someones office to ask them a question, then it is to slack them and wait. The SoWork team is really responsive to bugs and are constantly creating new features that we utilize everyday. Our team has a ton of fun on a daily basis that SoWork facilitates. SoWork allows us to work the way that works best for us as a team. It's super easy to get onboarded and to bring new people into our office!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

There's not a ton that I dislike about SoWork. One small thing could be some of the bugs, but aas I mentioned, these are usually aaddressed quickly bby the team. Another would be just convincing people on our team, who are biased aganst digital offices, to join us frequently. (Not SoWork's fault)

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing our engineering team to sync much quicker. Usually we would sync over slack by sending a message and waiting for a response. With SoWork we can just walk into someone's office to get an answer much quicker.

 ### 27. A Great Tool in the Virtual Toolbox

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan M. | Manager, Solution Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork has increased our remote team collaboration and engagement. The AI meeting feature has been a great addition to our work. I love being able to see if my teamates are available for me to "pop in" their office for a quick question or just to catch up. We use this virtual office daily at my company. The customer support has been phenomal - they are very receptive to feedback. I personally love the avatars and change my avatar clothes daily to coordinate with what I'm actually wearing. We had some learning curves from our previous platform, but otherwise the integration was pretty seamless with eas implementation. The team rolls out frequent updates, it is clear the SoWork team is eager to improve and responds to feedback.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

We came from another virtual office platform that was a bit more sophisticated looking, but of the virtual offices we looked at, SoWork is the least "game" like. There's been a few quirks and glitches but the customer team is quick to respond and work through it with us.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration with a 100% remote company

 ### 28. Immediate Productivity Results and Workplace Happiness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jt G. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWorks AI meeting tools are worth the price alone. We are a fully remote team so having a virtual office has always been a requirement. SoWork has thought a lot about how to make meeting recordings not suck. For example, it provides the abiltity to summarize meetings without a video recording or transcription which allows people to discuss freely without the feeling of being watched.

It was very easy to implement with their refering and sharing links. They have an open office you can join for customer support questions that was easy to use. The Zappier and Google Calendar Integrations they provide were one click setups.

They are ahead of the game for sure!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I just want more features like API features and API access to some of their Slack like chat systems. It can become a serious competitor to Slack if they keep building that out.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving Company Culture in a remote work environment and adding AI productivity tools with great integrations.

 ### 29. Great resource

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

While its a little playfull, it really does make you feel like a real office enviroment. The graphics and fun elements at first may not seem like the professional experience you're looking for, but give it 5 minutes. Seriously.. within just a few moments you realize how convenient this could be. Not all of my collegues have logged in yet, but every single person that has was surprised how much they liked it. I love stopping by my employees for a quick hello or question or project coordination.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Its a working progress. A few glitches here and there, but it seems like they're continually making this better. A mobile app will be a great addition and maybe some touchups on either customizing how things work or adjusting a few workflows. However, these really are minor for the most part.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just a feeling of being connected with your team. Seeing people walk around and chat with one another, gives me a sense of working as a team. I also hate calling people. The whole process is interuptive. Now I can just pop in and out like a real office.

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Vash has been so helpful throughout our transition into sowork!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Still waiting on a few updates that'll make it 100/10

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We sent over a spreadsheet of minor fixes we'd like and they're helping us fix all of them!

 ### 31. Exactly What We Were Looking For!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wendy Y. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Customizations of the layouts and avatars!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Everything is great and they are improving/adding features all the time. I would love to be able to look at the map from a different angle which the CEO said that is coming soon!

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AI note taking, video recording, allowing our staff to "run into each other" like we normally would do if we were in a physical office. My team loves when they get down time to decorate their space and outside spaces inside of SoWork!

 ### 32. What a great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

It's a consolidated platform that offers the best of Kumospace and Slack, plus more. We're replacing both those paid subscription with SoWork's excellent solution, and savings thousands every year. Every remote startup should be using this!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

It's still in build mode, but they are incredibly responsive to suggestions and are nearly matching capabilities for Slack! As is, it's a wonderful alternative, and it's getting better and better.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're split in communications across Slack and Kumospace. Reconciling those conversations has been very frustrating. SoWork solves that, allowing us to communicate better and move faster.

 ### 33. Running a virtual company is hard. This solved 98% of my pain points.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

It really feels like you have a company culture. I can't say enough about how much fun it's added to the, what use to be, mundane work-life of checking slack and Clickup. I mean, this has made it so easy to talk to people I never used to talk to. I have spent more time with my employees than ever before because this makes it so easy. Also I love decorating and it feels so good when I see our team adding furniture to their office. Literally I wish I invested this company lol.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Nothing. There is nothing I dislike about sowork.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What used to be a boring, disjointed life with slack and clickup is now a fun culture where all our employees engage. Everyone loves it and finally I feel like we have a real comopany.

 ### 34. If you're looking for a virtual office, start with SoWork

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

In the era of remote work, SoWork has been essential for me to help build a sense of "presence" for my team and company. For myself, I really miss the shared experience and flow of being "in the office" and being around people. As a gamer and a game developer, this virtual space really plays to my wants and it's definitely been the most recommended virtual office among my peers.

Pros:
+ used by other game companies and organizations
+ intuitive (at least for gamers) controls and experience that improves over time
+ great for meetings and virtual events
+ ability to "see who's inthe office" and "walk up to someone" to have a chat
+ keeps us engaged at work and with each other
+ WAY better customer service then other virtual office solutions.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The biggest challenge around using SoWork is just getting everyone to use SoWork. It's a mix of any communication or chat software and everyone's personal preference so the general advice I'd have is you gotta build it into your team's culture in order to reap any of the benefits. The software is getting better, but sometimes there's still bugs and there's just no getting around the fact that you NEED Slack so there's still some juggling there.

Cons:
- Slack is still the default work comm tool and our "source of truth"
- Software is still developing so the occaional bug or video call challenges
- Adoption and usage really depends on your team, not super useful unless everyone uses it
- You'll totally want to customize your character and buy cosmetics... (this actually a Pro haha)

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This really solves presence and ability to feel like you're at work. For myself, it really helped to help me get into the "I'm at work" mindset.

When the team is using it togeter, it feels great because you can just bump into someone at work and start a conversation.

 ### 35. Making Remote Work Fun and Easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

What I really love about SoWork is how simple and fun it makes remote working. Setting up a virtual office is super easy, whether you're using their cool templates or making your own design. The best part? It actually makes work fun! It feels like we're all together, even when we're miles apart. The SoWork team is also amazing – they really listen and are always improving things.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

If I have to pick a downside, it's that SoWork is always updating and adding new stuff, so sometimes you're waiting for that one cool feature. But honestly, they're so quick to take feedback and make changes, it's hardly an issue.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After nearly 13 years in a physical office and transitioning to full virtual work in 2019, I struggled with losing some aspects of in-person dynamics, especially for team building and quick problem-solving. Tools like Slack were helpful, but they couldn't replicate the feeling of being in a shared space. While I appreciated the cost and time benefits of remote work, I needed something more. That's when I found SoWork.

Having used Gather.Town extensively, I switched to SoWork for several key reasons. The standout factor has been the support and genuine enthusiasm of the founders. It's rare to find creators so engaged in their product and the community using it. The ease of use in SoWork is exceptional. Creating a functional space from their templates is straightforward, and customizing spaces to fit specific needs is equally simple.

But more than that, SoWork has brought fun into the remote working environment. The platform fosters a sense of belonging and community, which is crucial for maintaining a positive work culture. The little things, like office pranks with digital balloons or boxes, add a light-hearted touch that makes the workday enjoyable. SoWork has successfully bridged the gap between the efficiency of remote work and the collaborative spirit of a physical office, making it an invaluable tool for my team.

 ### 37. Perfect Tool for Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Puneet G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

1. I am a big fan of SoWork. No other tool provides almost real-time collaboration.

2. Pricing is better than others.

3. Their meeting summary is unbelievable and super helpful.

4. Very easy to implement. It takes 2 minutes to get started.

5. Customer support is very friendly.

6. Having game zones is literally like having water coolers in office that facilitate friendships.

7. It is so easy to track who is in and out of office.

8. Their team analytics dashboard is something people will never get in in-office environment. After looking at those dashboards, I would prefer my whole team to be remote.

9. IMPORTANT: It is a great tool to host your parties, invite your customers and vendors, interview your candidates in this environment.

10. Team Zones concept is very a smart concept.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Actually nothing. I enjoy their constant upgrades. You can see how team is passionate about constant improvement.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Team Building
2. Team Motivation
3. Video conferencing
4. Virtual Workspace
5. Virtual parties
6. Virtual interviews
7. Amazing meeting summaries

 ### 38. Virtual office for a remote first company.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joelle B. | Sr. Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork is extremely easy to use and integrate with your team. You can set up in minutes with premade maps, so you are ready to go. They offer a 28-day trial period, which is highly generous. Have fun decorating your area or the whole map! There are so many features like screen sharing, video conferencing, and recording. Need help with taking meeting notes? They have that covered, too! You can dress your character as yourself or as an alter ego.

Have a problem? No problem. The SoWork team is very responsive and helpful. Have you ever wondered if there is something not working right? SoWork lets you know as soon as they do it right in the app. They also do not use as much bandwidth on your computer as other platforms I have used in the past.

You can enjoy weekly updates and metrics to see how your team works with each other and how often they are using the system. My team uses it daily!!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Nothing! I have not found anything to dislike on SoWork.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork is our office. Our company is remote first which means we have more remote employees than people in the area of our main office. SoWork makes it so I can meet with anyone I need to. We hold team meetings, 1:1's, and I can stop by someone's desk if I have a question or just want to chat.

 ### 39. The 'office' of the future

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Howard K. | Founder & CEO, Venture Capital & Private Equity, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Foundery is a home for startup founders all over the world to come together, build real relationships & help each other grow- themselves & their businesses.

We couldn't deliver our experience without SoWork- they're accessible from everywhere, and actually built for real humans not robots.

And sure, they have robots built in too to do all kinds of next gen stuff like summarize meetings, assign action items, etc. but the real benefit to us is that people spend hours/days/weeks in our space, and don't feel fatigue like you get from those 'video chat' tools.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Honestly the list is shrinking by the week. It used to be mobile app, but they delivered that. Before that it was stability/bugs, like most startups, but they've squashed those repeatedly too.

Maybe it's how hard it is to find some of the more advanced, power user features before you know about them. But that's pretty standard too, and the basics of getting our founders in & up to speed on the platform is super simple to use, which matters way more to us.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork gives us something we couldn't get anywhere else- a distributed place for working together, that's actually human-centric & made for real people to be their real selves.

It benefits us & our customers because they get to behave like they already know how to & work like. Walk into meetings together. Grab lunch together and catch up.

 ### 40. Nice Site with it's own persona

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim C. | Technical Customer Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I jumped in and started exploring before the AI bot started giving advice.
I did get my space created and found it easy to do.
I have not had to use customer support yet,

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I feel the help section is good but can be expanded some.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brings the team closer to an actual office environment were you can have a central area for everyone to work in and still have private areas (your individual offices)

 ### 41. The best way to teach synchronous online college classes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michaela N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork makes me feel connected to my students even though we are all far apart. Classrooms live through interaction, and SoWork allows for ways of interaction not even possible in in-person classrooms. Student could sign up super easily, and we can invite guests to our classroom without problems. SoWork is our hub for all kinds of other applications we use in class, so there is no need to ever leave our virtual classroom! The customer support feels like you are talking to new friends. Honestly just impressed by this application!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

There is nothing that I dislike about SoWork. I would love some more extension toward classroom uses.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a class, we learn best when being together, learning from one another, and solving activities together. SoWork makes all of this easy even though students and teachers are spatially separated. I can give my students a lot more agency than in a normal video conferencing app, which is crucial for learning success.

 ### 42. A Bold Solution to the Drawbacks of a Remote Enviornment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate L. | Technical Art Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Amazingly, SoWork has provided an atmosphere that actually encourages frequest face-to-face communication, rather than making it a burdern as many other communication tools do. Proximity-based communication is easy and fun. The app itself is fairly straightforward, simple to roll out to a team, and can conveniently be accessed through a web browser as well in the case that you set a meeting up with someone that is not part of the neighborhood. Customer support is extremely on-point, always helpful and quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The promiximity-based communication can take some getting used to, especially for those that are not familiar with point and click navigation. As the 3D visual format differs greatly from other communication software, not everyone understands the app from the getgo.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a fully remote team, we've needed something to stir up the stagnant feeling of the day-to-day interactions, where no one felt encouraged to communicate except out of necessity. SoWork provided this to our team and done so in an entertaining format. It also gives us space to personalize and express a bit of ourselves in how we decorate and customize. We've become closer as a team and the experience has been completely worthwhile.

 ### 43. AMAZING!! Our Remote Team Now has a Virtual Office!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Our team loves this software so much!! It's Easy to use, we use it every day, like all day, tons of cool features it allows our team to have an office and they can decorate! The best customer service! Our team adapted fast to using this because of how easy it was to implement. Company culture is UP, the team is more efficient and more creative. Who knew that we needed a virtual office to help us come together and work in a REAL team environment... This software will only get better because they add new features weekly!! We are excited to be a part of this, it's the future!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Honestly, I can't think of anything, because any issue we may have their support team is on it and responds quickly!

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a remote team can be challenging to keep the team engaged and morale up. This software is giving us a sense of togetherness!

 ### 44. SoWork for any organizational context!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asia F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I have been loving using SoWork for 3 different organizations! I have been able to easily create spaces for each of these organizations with their unique needs and goals. It was very straightforward to connect members to those spaces. Whenever I had an question, the support response time was rapid and thorough!

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

So far I have not encountered any issues. Whenever I have feedback to provide, the team at SoWork is quick to respond.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork helps bring hybrid and remote communities together in a way that generates camaraderie, productivity, and inspiration.

 ### 45. A very nice experience as every year

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Every year we do the closing events of our programs in SoWork, and every year, I notice that the platform becomes more versatile, flexible and easy to implement, where one can accommodate the spaces according to the needs, with lots of tools. In addition, I identify that access and use is becoming more intuitive and accessible. It is a very enjoyable platform for the public that uses it. SoWork's support people provide a very quick response to queries or problems.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Given that the platform is heavy and consumes a lot of internet, when connections are not so fast it is difficult to use or it is not possible to access. I would also consider improving its access and use from cell phones, in case PCs are not available. At the same time, a tutorial on access and use for people who are not digital natives could be included, considering the technical requirements of the platform and main tools. We prepared one specifically for the event we did, but perhaps there are things we are missing and it would be good to explain in more detail.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork gives us the possibility to recreate events that we used to do in a face-to-face format, making virtual interaction between people easier and more enjoyable. At the same time, it allows the participation of people from different countries.

 ### 46. Great virtual office option for people looking for a solution for remote teams to connect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linh Y. | Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

I found SoWork from looking for virtual office options: our team originally was using a different software but we were looking for a new software that is less laggy, has better audio/video quality, and has a reasoable pricing. SoWork achieves all of this and more. I have been using SoWork daily for our 28-day trial (a very generous trial!), and have found a lot of things with SoWork to admire.

SoWork optimizes very well on both browser and desktop app and thus lag is nonexistent. The gamification nature of the software also makes it very easy to use for people who are even remotely familiar with games (though can prove to be a little challenging for office workers who have never played video games, but nothing a little exposure can't help!). Additionally, I really appreciate all of the customization options and details in the software that is presented in a very easy to use manner. Most importantly, I love the ability to have a private conversation with another teammate even when we aren't physically close in the same location.

The shining point of the SoWork experience, though, is that Vish, SoWork's CEO, is very passionate about his product and believes in it. Because of this, any questions and feedbacks I have for SoWork are responded to with care and promptness - if not from him then his team. Vish is very generous to give us a demo in the SoWork office as well as in our virtual office that we built out on SoWork. He always encourages questions and feedback to further improve SoWork, and I am confident that SoWork will continue to be better and better. SoWork is my number one choice in virtual offices.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Nothing - there are small things that I think SoWork can improve on, but SoWork has always been very fast to respond with providing good solutions, as well as push out new improvements daily.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our firm has fully embraced the remote work business model, we are looking to find ways to better emulate an office and collaborative experience amongst our teammates who come from a variety of locations. In our department (Technical Accounting Group) alone, we have teammates in various locations in the United States and South Africa, Canada, and the Philippines. We want to have an environment where we can communicate to each other naturally and without effort as if we are all in one office space.

 ### 47. Transformative Remote Work Experience with SoWork

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

Being a remote worker has its own set of challenges, but SoWork has significantly eased this journey for me. The platform's intuitive design and user-friendly interface make it stand out in the crowded space of remote work tools.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

Limited Customization in Some Areas: While the overall experience is great, I've found that some areas lack customization options, which would be helpful in tailoring the workspace to specific team needs.

Learning Curve: For new users, there might be a slight learning curve in understanding all the features and the best ways to utilize them.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoWork significantly improves my remote working experience by enhancing team collaboration, providing valuable insights into team dynamics, simplifying communication, aiding in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and integrating seamlessly with other business tools. These improvements lead to increased productivity, better team cohesion, and overall job satisfaction in a remote work environment.

 ### 48. Super fun and interactive way to communicate with my remote team!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

SoWork is so hopeful to simply have conversations with my co-workers. It allows me to just walk up to them with no hassle and easily discuss anything. I also love how customizable it is from designing your own office with various new items every week, changing your outfit, and having similar features to Slack and Google Meet such as being able to share your screen during a meeting.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

The downside I have had with SoWork is the Sophie bot still being in the same place you are when you hop in and out of SoWork. If I am on the browser version of SoWork, once I exit it and then re-enter, she will be in my office or wherever I left off. Another thing is that the sound can be choppy at times especially when I have another tab or software up that is also utilizing my sound; it can prevent me from hearing my teammates clearly and vice-versa.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to have that feeling of being in an office with the rest of my team and creates a more entertaining culture for us to interact with one another.

 ### 49. Customer Experience is Amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keagan H. | Marketing Consulting and Agency Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2024

**What do you like best about SoWork?**

The Customer Service is outstanding. So Responsive!
This app has brought our team together.
I have decreased my formal 30 to 60-minute meetings by 60% per day.
Integration was really easy
Easy to implement with team.
We use this everyday and have replaced our Zoom meetings

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

It's a new platform, and it still has some bugs, but I like that the team is so responsive. It doesn't concern me.

**What problems is SoWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a remote team that is looking to build its culture and remove communication and collaboration silos from departments.

**What do you dislike about SoWork?**

I have very few complaints so far and anything that Ive been stuck on, i've been able to find the answer or get it from a helpful source!
