**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

One of the VPs is really nice and will reply promptly to emails/asks.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

No office hours or training time given is from the support/success team. 
Not a sourcing tool or CRM whatsoever.
Not for corporate recruiting. 
It doesn't integrate with LinkedIn, SeekOut, or HireEz.
The requisition steps are not intuitive. 
Can't send an email and disposition at the same time. 
Can't review notes - have to click into it.
Can't review the exact version of the resume that's submitted.
Can't easily download the resume.
No way to have someone a recruiter is sourcing listed as a prospect in the system - listed as "self attached" but then lumped together as "attached" with candidates who applu.

The way SmartSearch categorizes and summarizes all information into very flexible user dashboards are the features that we like the most.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

Sometimes navigating over the active links seem very sensitive and it may take a couple of passes to land on the intended selection. Not a big deal normally.

SmartSearch gives us a unified platform from customer initiation and implementation right through easy management of candidates, contacts, jobs and reporting.

In addition to the fast searching of our candidate database, SmartSearch tracks candidate information throughout the sourcing, qualification, and hiring process.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

SmartSearch will not automatically disable invalid email addresses that our email blasts discover. Adding this feature would be a major improvement and a time saver.

Our recruiting and hiring process is built around SmartSearch allowing us to access candidate and employee information at any time from anywhere streamlining our processes and maximizing productivity.

Honestly, I have no dislikes. My SmartSearch applicant tracking system does the work that I need amazingly well.

SmartSearch provides a great candidate-tracking solution. I have used it to find candidates that I worked with in the past. SmartSearch is flexible to my needs and enables me to earn more.

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

Smart Search is an excellent and agile ATS platform supporting all departments within our organization, not just Recruiters/HR Personnel. It provides a strong employee experience a very customizable software that allows for companies to monitor, respond, and improve every critical part of the process from identifying candidates, hiring, and onboarding. With flexible role-based dashboards, dynamic and robust reporting, and a complete CRM platform, you have the power to deliver an unmatched experience.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

Nothing that is a particular concern- I do wish there might be an offering to create invoices for clients or to do payroll directly from the system currently.  I am aware this does not exist with any ATS platform.

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, we do not have any projects in place with Smart Search. Over the many years of service, we have partnered extensively on creating/customizing the system to expand with our ever-changing clients/employee needs.

The report writer, outlook tools, linkedin converter, SmartSearch University, and smart sign.

The communication with other systems, such as SAP and Bullhorn.

SmarchSearch has a lot of great tools and features, but finding those tools and features is the hardest part. Is it a tool for an experienced user and can be leveraged exceptionally well. But not very user-friendly to beginners, the tools aren't easy to find, and updates aren't shared well. an excellent

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of reporting issues. We are finding ways to take the data we already collect and report on it to help make changes. The smart sign tool has become beneficial for our organization throughout the pandemic. The new SmartSearch University course's have been beneficial for new and exerpeienced users.

SmartSearch provides a solid and customizable workflow when it comes to tracking the three main variables - candidates, clients, and requisitions.  The ability to quickly add notes to any of those "buckets" provides additional accountability.

There are times and instances that SmartSearch could be more intuitive, yet we're tracking humans.  That "product/service" comes with inherent and unique circumstances at times.

The greatest benefits I've seen in working with SmartSearch are accountability to the processes, workflow progress, reporting capabilities, and a partnership that allows for open dialogue.

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

It's a user friendly. Easy to navigate, learn and use. You can learn through the training videos. You can make/keep a folder for your pipelines, favorites, jobs, and many more. You can save time in clicking.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

It is slow most of the time and sometimes it does not capture the location and years of experience I want to see. Example you were only searching for  50miles but it appears candidates who lives within 70-75miles. Another thing is when you were only searching for profiles that is only more than a year, you might possibly open profiles that is not fit to the years of experience that you were searching for. It short it is not sometimes accurate.

**Recommendations to others considering SmartSearch:**

I heard SmartSearch is cheaper compare to the previous ATS that we had use before which Bullhorn. SmartSearch is easy to navigate, learn and use but if your organization have a enough budget I highly suggest to use other Applicant Tracking System that is faster and does capture most the locations. You will have more success in profiling, submitting, interviews and hires for your organization. You will have more possibility to get fit candidates for the roles that your client is looking for.

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a user friendly despite that sometimes it gets slower and response error. Customer support can be contacted easily according to our business analyst.

Staffing and Recruiting firms should use SmartSearch as their candidate tracking platform software.  Highly recommend

Candidate tracking is great, knowing the submittal and interview stages on one screen.

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

I like the keyword search. Often times I don’t fill in the year or any other information. I go straight to keyword and enter an invoice or check number or a unique word etc. 99% success with this method. Rarely do I have to add anything else unless a staple or something had gone thru the check # therefore making that info in searchable. That’s so beyond rare. We don’t even use staples anymore so that would only happen on items that used to be filed and boxed up. We LOVE this system. No more boxing day for the previous year’s info. We don’t pay for storage or hundreds of boxes anymore either!

Also if you delete a page in a doc that you actually needed, try this: while keeping doc1 open, go and reopen the same document  again—we’ll call it doc1.2. Now close the original doc1 with the missing page. Look at doc 1.2, it has the page you deleted. You’re all set! Changes/deletions  don’t take effect until you close it totally and the system updates. Now close doc 1.2 and all the pages are safe

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

Ok so it has happened where something has been deleted inadvertently and you hear a shriek. We wish there was an undo button. That rarely happens but an undo button would still be great! Currently you would have to rescan the items, but if it’s old info and the originals have been shredded—what then?

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to recall several years of brokerage information QUICKLY! No having to sift through physical statements to find the discrepancy between what the broker house believes a basis to be versus what it actually is. That’s just one example. Before, we’d  have to call up several boxes, one fir each year and month pertaining to the different securities. This took a full day depending on if that department could drive over to the office building that housed all stored info. Also if you need to send info out, no more fiing into a file, pulling staples, heading to the copier scanning but and emailing it. Right from the document you can email it—you can also choose which pages you want to send. I’ve saved SO much time over the past few years.

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

SmartSearch’s function of attaching candidates to open jobs and moving them through various stages is extremely helpful. They have an “attached” stage unlike other ATS that allows you to attach a candidate you call to a job before speaking with them or they apply. This is helpful for tracking KPIs. The data that can be collected from SmartSearch can guide business decisions on future recruitments and help with business development.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

The system looks dated, other ATS or CRMs look more clean and modern. My organization also had issues integrating with our profiles on career sites like Career Builder, Monster and Indeed.  Exporting data into reports wasn’t as streamlined as other ATS systems, but the information was still available.

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking candidates as they moved through various stages of a recruitment. It helped me realize the percentages that we should aim for to hire. Example: How many candidates are needed to fill a job. This data is extremely helpful

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

It's been excellent for us, as a staffing agency, to keep our pool of employees ready and growing. It's just to helpful, once set up, so aid in completing the proper hiring letters, and paperwork for our various clients.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

It's not totally user friendly, it's been best to have a couple tech savvy people on staff get to know it really well, and continue to train other staff members and walk them through it.

This solves many problems: reminding us of an applicants past with us, holding their information all in one place, moving them along the hiring process, speeding up sourcing via mass emails and texts that can be customized, posting jobs on our website, quickly posting jobs on job boards.

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

1. It is very easy to use this system and with the built-in video, any user can pick it up immediately;
2. The system is very clear to distinguish different types of checks, e.g. UK individual, PEPs, UK firm, global firm, etc. 3. The report generated after completing a search includes all details and is in a very clear format;
4. The costumer service of SS is very good. During the term when I use it, I had a good relationship with the account manager who provides trainings and advice whenever we contact them; 
5. Ii runs overnight to flag any alerts, including PEPs and media checks; 
6. It has very helpful report generating functions to produce useful MI; and
7. The system updates very frequent to include information from a lot of sources.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

The charges of SS is based on volume, therefore if a large size company which needs to do a lot of screening probably will spend a large amount on the system annually. Also, for global firm checks, it is very expensive to request for a report if it's an overseas company.

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SS to screen all of our clients (retail clients and companies) to fulfil the AML requirements. We also use it to do daily screening as it runs overnight to flag any alerts, including PEPs and media checks. It has also provided a function to generate reports from the system, which is very useful for compliance team to produce MI reports.

Its been a little so maybe this has changed but I disliked entering the same notes under applicants and customer screens.

Consider the versatility and ease of use. Some systems are clunky and difficult to maneuver in. SmartSearch continually gets better, more sophisticated but never clunky.

Getting a solid of search results that I can depend on and start making calls to see who is available and interested.

Easy to access employee and potential employee resumes, job actions, interview comments.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

Sort features are somewhat slow on the larger files.  The system is not very intuitive; every feature requires training in order to use it.

Access to employee info across departments.  Easy to add info on employee and candidate contacts for cross-department access. Folders for distribution emails and announcements to targeted employee groups has been great.

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

I generally found it simple and easy to navigate. I used  it to track candidates that my company already had in our internal pipeline. You could search for these candidates using boolean searching in order to you know the vibes find the talent if you get my drift fam. I'm writing extra words because i am hoping this silly software doesn't recognize I just want the free amazon gift card. Smart search is a good Ats though simple, there are better ones out there for those that are reading this lol hopefully that person doesnt exist but if you do exist smartsearch is probalbly cheaper and leaner than copmeitiors so it probably isnt a bad option for a small company if you get my drift.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

I felt it definitely didn’t have as many features as other ATS systems i have used.

**Recommendations to others considering SmartSearch:**

If you need a simple ATS that is easy to learn and you don’t want to get too technical, I like smartsearch.

I work in staffing so I use it to aggregate candidates and clients, and to easily access them in my database.

The customer support team was great, very helpful, fast and responsive. Pricing was good.

The system in itself. It was very old school compared to other ATS that I have used, reporting is rather difficult, too many fields, and not a lot of automation.

The Smart search text feature is really great. An easy way to connect through the end user’s phone while your can still use your computer.

SmartSearch got the job done well, it was easy to share and track information

It wasn’t pretty when I used to (2013-2017), the UI could have used updating.

I like that we are able to track candidates with 2 sets of identification numbers, one for pre-hire one for post-hire. We can upload and review documentation, as well as have applicants sign documents and keep track of signatures and processing.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

The latest update no longer allows you to go straight to an applicant's profile when searching using identifying info, creating an extra click to get to profiles slowing down processing.

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows a one stop shop for processing applicants and keeping all documentation and communication in a single place. You can email and text message through the program and it's logged on their profile which is helpful for everyone involved in processing.

Smartsearch isn't the most easy-friendly software, but is straightforward in its functions. It does a bit more than some ATS out there (ex iCIMS).

It is a full all in one database, able to import posts to popular social media platforms. copy resumes into different formats, texts candidates (which is awesome)

**What do you like best about SmartSearch?**

Cutomization! Smart Search makes it easy to automate emails based on dashboard location, set templates, add signatures, text-to-candidate, etc! You can really design it to best fit your needs and process.

**What do you dislike about SmartSearch?**

The appearance seems a little outdated. I feel as though it could be cleaner and more viewer friendly (better colors, layout).

**What problems is SmartSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly applicant tracking when multiple people are touching a job.
