It was an amazing experience working with OfferZen to recruit developers for our team. Their easy to use platform assisted us in matching potential candidates with our technical requirements.. The whole process was smooth and efficient. Our account manager was provided excellent support throughout. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to hire skilled tech professionals.

**What do you like best about OfferZen?**

OfferZen makes my life easier in terms of recruiting Java Developers I can quickly scroll through the CV's I like based on my requirements and speak to the candidate directly without any middle man.Its an awesome platform and they listen to comments/reviews and continously enhance the platform.The account manager Nicola Osman is always available and even helps me filter and go through CV's its an awesome Customer Support.

**What do you dislike about OfferZen?**

At first there was no way to use multiple skills to filter candidate it was bringing cvs that are not related to what I need because of searching using a sigle skills they have since improved that.If there can be a way save filters such that a CV that rejected should not be showing in my next search.If there can be guidance for Devs to understand current market benchmarks some Devs outprice themselves and keep changing sallaries every week.

Cut the middle man and make recruitment easier and faster.
Get to chat to the Developer before the actual HR interview and decide if we want to proceed or not.

**What do you like best about OfferZen?**

OfferZen has been a great platform for me and my colleagues to find candidates across South Africa and Europe. It has made it easy for us to connect with them directly and quickly. I appreciate the feature that allows a candidate to indicate their availability in their calendar, which is visible to me as a recruiter or talent acquisition partner. The company page on the platform provides detailed information that helps candidates make an informed decision on whether to accept or decline our invitation to connect and have an initial conversation. The professionals we have worked with have been courteous, professional, and highly skilled.

**What do you dislike about OfferZen?**

It can be challenging to find suitable candidates on the platform due to our modern tech stack., but we have had success finding great engineers on OfferZen. This is something that could perhaps be improved, but it is highly dependent on the market.

**What problems is OfferZen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the right candidates for our company's available roles is now easier. OfferZen pre-screens candidates before we contact them for the first time and provides us with valuable information about the candidates so we are as knowledgeable as possible about what they are looking for and their experience.

**What do you like best about OfferZen?**

As an hiring manager I have used Offerzen over the last two years and have successfully placed four team members of my current team. I even got placed through the platform myself, and I recall it was very easy to get onboarded, and as a candidate the support was great. 

It's a consistent interface and makes it easy to review skills and CV's to drill down on the key aspects of the skills I am looking for. Getting the ability to see the relative popularity gives you an added impetus to know that you need to get a move on . The search and filtering features are powerful, once you get to understand how to use it well. I do find it easy to use and use it weekly to review new candidates, if I have current open roles. 

The interaction via the messaging is usefull as well although the majority of the communcations post introduction happens off the site. 

Recently we had some challenges in finding the right candidates, and they were very helpful in showing us different ways to retrieve the profiles we were not seeing.

**What do you dislike about OfferZen?**

The platform is very strong on roles that are closely techical - development, quality assurance, product management and related staff, but for the upper and management levels it's not that packed. This is more a function of their focus, which has been on the development community - getting momentum and scale needed them to focus on that area, but they are expanding their reach in these other areas too.

**What problems is OfferZen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a busy hiring manager I don't have time to wade through dozens of mismatched Word and PDF CV's trying to pick out the best candidates, and OfferZen allows me to filter the candidates that has the best changes of becoming a successful hire. 
Its consistent interface makes it easy to review skills and CV's to drill down on the key aspects of the skills I am looking for. The search and filtering features are powerful!

It leaves me with more time to spend on building and growing a strong team, and because the candidates have a good view of the actual employer, it reduces the risk of a mismatch.

**What do you like best about OfferZen?**

Offerzen simplifies the hunt for top tier tech talent. The platform provides user friendly features and an extensive database of qualified candidates. What stands out to me is the ability to interact with candidates within the app, favourite promising individuals for team review, and the convenience of leaving internal notes for colleagues. Our account manager, Nicola, is incredibly supportive and helpful. I can confidently say that if we had used the traditional recruitment method, it would have taken us much longer to fill our roles.

**What do you like best about OfferZen?**

I've enjoyed working with the team at Offerzen, particularly Lizzy. She is always helpful and responsive and will go above and beyond to lend an extra hand. Whether it's additional information or assisting with shortlisting, the team is always available to lend a hand. We are regularly asked for feedback and ideas which has made for tangible changes. With our open communication, we also let the team know when we need more of a particular skillset which directs their focus in order to help us. The platform is user-friendly and allows our recruitment team and hiring managers to communicate effectively on the platform. We've been able to integrate our ATS with the platform and despite our issues with integration, we have had the team at Offerzen to support us.

**What do you dislike about OfferZen?**

There are sometimes shortages of particular skills and one is limited to the candidates that are actively looking for jobs on Offerzen.

**What problems is OfferZen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offerzen helps us to find relevant and interested candidates for the roles that we have. This cuts down on our sourcing time and ensures we reach out to candidates who are actively looking for new opportunities. They also act as a liaison between us and the candidates and check in with them throughout the process which helps us save time.

Nothing too much, candidates can be scarce, but that's just the market of well-trained engineers.

My experience with OfferZen has been an interesting journey, particularly enriched by our account manager, Jolandi. Her patience, competence, and dedication to our startup's unique requirements have been commendable and immensely beneficial. As a software company breaking new ground, we faced a steep learning curve. Understanding the nuances of hiring developers, who undeniably bring their own set of unique characteristics to the recruitment table, was not an easy feat. But Jolandi walked us through it, providing indispensable guidance and support as we learned by trial and error. Her commitment to our venture has significantly eased our transition into the world of software development and has given us the much-needed room to grow and explore our potential.

**What do you dislike about OfferZen?**

While our journey with OfferZen has had its high points and we have managed to make numorous hires, it hasn't been without its challenges. A major pain point for us has been OfferZen's approach to developer compensation. The platform promises developers significantly more than the average market value, which, while enticing to potential candidates, creates unrealistic salary expectations. This tactic has complicated our hiring process.

In our search for capable developers, we have encountered a multitude of candidates with inflated salary expectations. This inflated self-worth has led to an over-saturated candidate pool, muddying the waters of competence-based selection. For us, finding the right fit meant identifying developers who not only had the experience but also the requisite competence, which we had presumed to correspond with certain salary brackets. But with OfferZen setting an inflated standard, we found ourselves sorting through a multitude of less-qualified candidates with high salary expectations. This complicated and drawn-out process has made finding the right people a more challenging task than we anticipated.

OfferZen's role in fostering these skewed perceptions needs to be reassessed, as it negatively impacts both hiring businesses and the realistic career growth expectations of developers.

As the recruiter, I get to review profiles that all follow the same format that can easily be filtered for my needs. These profile are vetten by OfferZen so I rarely get non-responsive or time-wasting candidates. 
You also know what their salary expectations are upfront, which makes it very clear which candidates are within your budget.

**What do you dislike about OfferZen?**

Not much that I dislike. Filter categories could be refined, but they are always improving so it's fine really.

I like the most the professionalism and personal approach of the platform, the candidates within it and the people that work at OfferZen. It makes the experience enjoyable.

It took us a bit longer to find a hire because the quality of the candidates is not always super high. But it might be applicable to us specifically as a company since we have very strong requirements for our tech team.

At the beginning  (+2 years ago) it lacked candidates from the Netherlands but this has been resolved by now.

I would love to see more roles, like DevOps, Product Designers, being added to the pool of candidates.

Every Monday over a 100 new tech candidates are entered on the platform so you always know its a new batch of candidates. Easy to view candidates based on your requirements.

I find the salaries of candidates vary quite a lot with similar experience, etc. I need to look at qualifications and experience and have a benchmark in my head. It would be good if we could see benchmark salary.
