It includes a macro programming language that allows you to tap into the editor itself to extend the editor's features and to simplify complex editing tasks. ## SemWare Editor Reviews ### 1. Lifesaver for developers, but UI can be improved **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Rajesh D. | Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019 **What do you like best about SemWare Editor?** The one feature that I like the best is the option to split the window horizontally or vertically. This way I can work on as many files I want simultaneously. Also, I can see and edit multiple sections of a single file. Besides that, you can sync-scroll multiple windows at once, which is an amazing time-saver for coders. Also, it has a calculator and the ASCII chart inbuilt, which is nice. Adding a cherry on the top, it has an option to search files in the drive without even leaving the main window. To be honest, this software is a lifesaver for developers. **What do you dislike about SemWare Editor?** Installing the program was quite a hassle and took some time. I guess the installation process can be eased up a bit. The UI and aesthetic is too much classic (for me). It can be a little modernized or at least should have the option to choose themes. Getting used to the UI can take some time depending upon the user's learning curve. The spell checker should have some regular syntaxes like , etc added in the dictionary. Otherwise, the option is pretty much useless for a programmer. **Recommendations to others considering SemWare Editor:** If you are a programmer and write a lot of codes, you should definitely try out this one. It takes some time to get used to, but when you do, you will love it. The features are brilliant for coders. **What problems is SemWare Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use this editor for writing/editing HTML or PHP codes. It saves me a lot of time. Usually while coding in other editors, I have to switch tabs or windows to access multiple files. But SemWare editor allows me to check or edit multiple files in the same window using the window split features.
