We were not able to use Seismic because the implementation failed after a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our experience was the classic "over-promise during sales" and "under-deliver on execution." Seismic turned out to be too complex and cumbersome for our team to implement effectively, and it became clear that the software would not actually help solve our content management problem. We had to scrap the implementation after a year. We had been forced to sign a 3-year contract upfront (bad sign!!), and then Seismic refused any accommodation and didn't take any responsibility for the failure. They charged us 2 years of license fees to cancel the 3-year contract. This was especially offensive after they had billed us every hour of support time for the implementation on top of the license fees. This was a major lesson learned - don't ever pay in full upfront and don't work with companies who use glitzy, high-pressure sales approaches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sincerely sorry to hear the partnership did not meet your expectations.
While your team communicated appreciation for the platform’s potential and the support provided by our team, we understand that internal resource constraints, shifting priorities, and operational challenges made it difficult to move forward with implementation. Our team worked to accommodate those realities where possible, and we regret that we weren’t able to achieve the intended outcomes together.
Your feedback is being taken seriously and shared internally as we continue to evolve how we support customers through onboarding and beyond. Should circumstances change, we’d welcome the opportunity to reconnect.
