Smart Routing: It automatically calculates the fastest, cheapest way to ship orders across multiple warehouses, retail stores, or 3PL partners.

Omnichannel Power: Easily unlocks flexible modern models like BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up In Store) and ship-from-store by giving real-time global inventory visibility.

Frictionless Returns: Speeds up customer service by allowing agents—and customers via self-service—to handle cancellations, refunds, and exchanges effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Order Management?**

High Total Cost: Between usage-based (per-order) fees and specialized developer hours, it is incredibly expensive and rarely budget-friendly for low-margin businesses.  Complex Implementation: It is not a plug-and-play solution. Setup requires major technical expertise, steep training curves, and almost always requires hiring expensive implementation partners.  Customization Overhead: Modifying default workflows or setting up complex routing rules requires heavy use of Salesforce Flows or custom Apex code, creating massive technical debt if not handled carefully.Ecosystem Lock-In: It works beautifully if you are already heavily invested in Salesforce Commerce and Service Clouds. If you use non-Salesforce storefronts (like Shopify or Magento), integrating SOM loses its native appeal.  Not an ERP or WMS: It coordinates the lifecycle of an order, but it does not handle physical warehouse bin-tracking or financial accounting. You still have to do the heavy lifting of integrating it with systems like NetSuite or SAP.

I like the simplicity of Salesforce Order Management. Even though I'm not a Salesforce super user, I can easily navigate through the details of orders, such as sales prices, discounts, serial keys, and documents sent during the process. Additionally, it keeps everything in the same place, so it's easy to track any orders and POs.

The UX is a bit old, usability could be improved. Like having a graphic depicting the whole sales process.

Salesforce Order Management is a single platform that allows tracking, managing, and fulfilling orders. I also enjoy the fact that it can be easily managed with other Salesforce products and the shopping cycle, including delivery, is made easy and hassle-free. The automation capabilities save much manual labor and real-time to get the order status promotes customer satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Order Management?**

At times it can be somewhat overwhelming with all the features and you need to get oriented. When dealing with a large number of orders, the speed can slow down and in the process, this can be frustrating.

**What problems is Salesforce Order Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It assists in maintaining the entire process of order, purchase to delivery and thereby no order falls through the cracks. Rather than following orders in various systems, all the things are under one roof, thus saving time and errors. It also provides a clearer view of the order status, thus customers are updated quicker and in a more precise fashion.

**What do you like best about Salesforce Order Management?**

As a Salesforce developer, I’m impressed with how smoothly Salesforce Order Management integrates natively into the broader Salesforce ecosystem. It's very easy to use and implement, I don’t need to toggle between systems-everything happens right inside Salesforce. Managing orders, inventory, fulfillment, and returns all happens in a unified interface, and it’s a breeze to customize or extend through Apex, Flow, or custom objects. That end-to-end visibility from quote to cash-is a major win for transparency and control. It's very easy to integrate with other systems for order sharing, such as external objects and CRM.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Order Management?**

That said, setting it up can be complex. The initial configuration-order types, fulfillment rules, inventory policies takes time to get right, especially for businesses with complicated fulfillment models. Also, while it's powerful, but drilling down into detailed data can be clunky. And keep in mind, it’s available only with higher-tier Salesforce licenses, so cost can be a hurdle for smaller organizations.

It solves the problem of disconnected order processes. As a developer, I no longer need to stitch together third-party order systems. Everything-from order capture to fulfillment and returns-is managed in Salesforce. That means fewer data silos, less integration overhead, and faster delivery to customers. It makes life easier for the business and for me as someone who builds and supports the stack.

what i like most about Salesforce order management system is its ability to link customer information to their project detail. It means i can see all the detail related to that client in one place be it their type of flooring project, material ordered, appointment and install dates, all the important documents like order confirmations, invoices, flooring map etc.

Also, the feature of connecting outlook to salesforce that made it easy to link all the important email related to customer in salesforce in their project file , it helps everyone working on that customer profilr to save the emails at one place so all knows what is the status of project , saves time and make it efficient.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Order Management?**

Sometimes when accessing larger data files, or accessing to project related photos , the system takes time to load and lags data. This is sometimes time-consuming and frustrating from my personal experience.

It centralizes all order related information in one platfrom, making it easy to track and manage orders from initiation to fulfillment.

Salesfoce Order Management is an amazing software and services in sales communion and yeashh i like it like i said in the title that the UI and services is greatly made for the customer, and  it worked for my sales performance that visible with the number of sales closed monthly increased, i'd using the service almost everyday in a weeks, with the intergation to my others platfrom like gmail,and linkedin and also we can't forget about a great customer support

well there's not much that i can complain about the Salesforce Order Management itself maybe just need some more fun sentence and more interactive text in guide or maybe add some elemts or even a figure

**What do you like best about Salesforce Order Management?**

SalesForce is a greta platform for managing your clients and setting up everything from opportunities, to contacts, appointments and more. SalesForce was used numerous times per day and was very beneficial. We use a version called Lightning which made navigation much easier and less bulky.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Order Management?**

This may be more due to the organization I was in, but due to the IT department controlling what views we see, they would make changes that made no sense to someone in Sales. For example, they moved Contacts to a sub-view and put in place Related Contacts. RC's did not have the same info. So this added another step or two to get the view I needed.

It made everything easier to work with and it was a time-saver in the day-to-day work.

I like that businesses can automate order routing based on the most cost-effective or fastest fulfillment option, improving operational efficiency. The system also supports various fulfillment methods, such as buy-online-pickup-in-store and curbside pickup, making it adaptable to modern retail needs. It also detects real time inventory visibility and allows customer interaction. Over-all its a system that has a lot of room to improve but so far it has been an amazing day-to day tool that has changed our work load tremedously.

I think the dislike I have is the price. For companies that have high volume orders it can easily add up. I also hope they can come up with a system where its not that complicated for businesses who are transitioning the the program as well.

I liked the mobile app feature of salesforce order management as it has a good user interface and easy to use with on the go access as th app feature can be used via a mobile and data accessing becomes very easy.

This is not totally a dislike but I found the payment option of salesfoce order management should have multiple new modes so that payment processing is more swift and avoid those situations where payment processing is getting difficult because of limited options of payment modes.

Salesforce order management is solving multiple problems as it helps right from how to encounter huge inflow of orders, how to document all the necessary information relaged to order management and how to access the important data related to inventory management or per say , it is holistically helping on various factors which is making order management very flexible. For me, it helped majorly with the feature of endless customization availabilty as this feature gives access of customizing and using the new customization for more productivity of order management and get more value.

As an SI, I find the ease of setup, and readability of the knowledge and components quite nice. Having completed OMS builds for multiple clients, the initial setup is quick and seamless, allowing for more time to implement any complex custom business logic

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Order Management?**

Most of the implementations I have worked on have utilized Omnichannel Inventory. I quite dislike how it is quite a black box - I think it should be easier for your average person to access debug logs, and diagnose issues. In addition, overall inventory visibility could be improved. Would love to see a feature where I can get an overview of all inventory (for all skus) at a given location as opposed to searching a given sku across a location group

**What problems is Salesforce Order Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of our clients using order management use it in addition to service cloud. Order Management allows them to access all relevant order data from a consolidated view, reducing the need for agents to access external systems. Also just the general level of automation capability Salesforce provides provides immense values to many of our clients.
