IBM has re-architected its order management platform to

make it simpler and more flexible for business users to have

more control over order operations via self-service

capabilities—without requiring IT involvement for every

change. This platform better enables users to implement new

delivery choices such as buy online, pick-up in store (BOPIS);

ship from store; drop ship; return anywhere and more. It also

equips in-store sales associates to handle customer requests

such as finding items at other locations (save-the-sale), line

busting during peak periods, and assisting store managers in

overseeing omnichannel processes.

The solution has a modern architecture that is built around

order management business services based on Docker

containers. This architecture eases management,

administration and the process of creating and deploying new

innovations. All of this translates into faster time-to-value

and lower IT costs. Because you can more quickly deliver the

What do you like best?

It is the best Order management platform out there and we have been using it since it was out in the market.. it is really easy to understand and provides various features to make enhancements or make integrations with other applications etc.. it is also a flawless product with very little bug fixes needed.. it has many features that are very useful for the flawless movement of order from one stage to another.. What do you dislike?

I cannot think of any but I guess it will be its look I guess and that too because it is really old and tht is how it was designed to look.. but the configurator could use a little more changes other than that I do not have any problems as such.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Ease to customise the business requirement. Product provides very good features oob. Complete business can be set up using the tool. I personally believe sourcing & scheduling is best feature in the tool. Complex sourcing logics can be easily achieved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Installation is the biggest task for the tool. Debug the logs for installation of this product is difficult in case any errors. Consume high space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

IBM Sterling OMS has is a comprehensive Order management system, IT's Order Orchestration process is one of the best that marries between different disparate systems across a supply chain. It automates the selling and fulfillment process with such of an ease yet with high accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The Sterling Call Center Business Intelligence Operational Reports are not supported in a sharded environment.

The product is huge and almost has all features an OMS system would have ready to implement.

Recently IBM OMS has also launched on cloud which is icing on the cake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Build on very old architecture it is very robust.

It takes lot of time for deployment even if it is for very small change.

Its configurator takes lots of time to launch.

What do you like best?

OMS has an incredible amount of flexibility. Its ability to extend and use other systems in the company is enormous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The tool still acts like a monolith. New growth projects run the risk of doing something wrong, by the fact that it can be done in many different ways.

Significant challenge in managing the tool due to continued dependence on IE-only CSS and heavy Java-based consoles.

What do you like best?

OMS's flexibility without custom coding. To "customize" IBM OMS is a matter of configuration most of the time, and not coding/development like other OMS platforms. Also, the fact that OMS is all services based and can handle the most complext order orchestration situations as well as the simplest (hint: even if you think your are simple, you probably arent) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The cost can seem prohibitive. IBM's pricing models are not always designed for every situation, but the good news is you can work with your business partner to help you rightsize the investment and get you the best pricing/terms & conditions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IBM Order Management allows a company to say "yes" to any order and provide the best customer experience. What do you like best?

The product offer great deal of option to be customized and tailored based on needs of complex organization. It does offer stable solution with best of functionalities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The framework of web call center which is on Dojo is still very slow, with screen we have had issues from business team of being unhappy with UI performance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UI performance on web call center applications.

No standard tools from IBM to measure screen performance.

What do you like best?

The product was put in back in 2014 and has been extremely robust planning order across 8 warehouses and 50 pick pack and despatch stores. \

It can be deployed in multiple ways and is now moving into containerisation options which makes it massively easy to deploy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best OMS platform that I have work with is the IBM OMS plarform for the very reason it is fully architected with the stateless service oriented architecture that address every feature that the customer might think of implementing their requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use IBM Order Management for our digital inventory, order management and order fulfillment functions. We are currently in the process of re-architecting our platform in the cloud. IBM OM does a lot of things out of the box very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Its flexible and most common omnu channel functionality is in out of the box product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some of the stack components have not kept up with advancements. The json api are not really usable as is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
