"Streamlined CCPA Compliance, Needs State-Level Adjustments"
4/5
What do you like best about Rule?

I find Rule's CCPA/TCPA-compliant data unification with a retail-optimized single customer view to be a standout feature. It's the reason we chose Rule over every other CDP/marketing automation tool we tested for our US business. Rule doesn't just unify customer data; it does so with US regulatory compliance integrated at every step, and it structures the single customer view for retail-specific insights. This is crucial for us as US retailers since non-compliance can lead to significant fines. Additionally, the initial setup of Rule was surprisingly streamlined and friendly for our lean team. We managed to have the platform fully configured and operational, with core integrations live, in just three business days without dedicated IT support, thanks to our marketing/CX lead. What do you dislike about Rule?

I find it frustrating that Rule doesn't support state-level privacy rule customization. While it excels at federal CCPA/TCPA compliance, it lacks the flexibility to easily handle state-specific privacy laws like those in Virginia, Colorado, or California. This oversight means I have to manually manage and track these exceptions, which is cumbersome and risks non-compliance. It would be so much better if Rule integrated a state-level privacy rule library, letting users toggle exceptions on or off and automatically applying the right rules for campaigns in those states. Response from Rule Communication of Rule

Thank you for your very detailed review. We're really glad Rule has been a strong fit for your retail business, and it's great to hear the onboarding went smoothly for your team.

We do want to add a small but important clarification: Rule is built on GDPR, the EU's privacy regulation, which is widely considered the world's most comprehensive data protection standard. GDPR is stricter than CCPA and TCPA in most respects, so the compliance foundation you're benefiting from is actually even more robust. That said, we appreciate that US-specific regulatory frameworks like CCPA matter to your business, and we're happy to discuss how Rule's GDPR-based architecture maps to those requirements.

Feel free to reach out directly if you'd like to dig into the compliance specifics.

"Why Extend Marketing Chooses Rule as a Core Part of Our Clients Growth"
5/5
What do you like best about Rule?

As co-founder of Extend Marketing, I’ve worked with many marketing automation platforms over the years – but Rule is one we keep coming back to. It’s flexible, easy to work with and powerful enough to handle complex customer journeys for our clients without overcomplicating things.

What makes the biggest difference is the team behind Rule. They’re quick to respond, know their stuff, and genuinely care about helping us and our clients succeed. For us, Rule isn’t just a tool – it’s a partner we trust to deliver results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rule?

One of Rule’s strengths – and at the same time a limitation – is its focused functionality. To get the full effect, you’ll often combine it with other technologies, which means you can build a best-of-breed stack with the best tools at great prices. The downside is if you’re looking for an all-in-one system with every feature built in Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, reliable, and backed by expert partners"
5/5
What do you like best about Rule?

I have worked with Rule for several years through our add-on product to their platform, of which I am a co-founder. The key advantage – and the reason why companies should turn to them when looking for a reliable system – is their wide network of partners, each an expert in their field. This means that as a customer, if you are looking for a specific solution to take your company to the next level, you can easily get the most optimal setup of the platform. In other words, you get a complete system tailored to your needs – without paying for features you don’t require! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rule?

If you are looking to take your platform to the next level, it can sometimes be difficult to sort out which solution is the best fit for you. Because Rule offers so many integration possibilities, it can sometimes take a bit of guidance from their team or partners to identify the best setup. But that also means you don’t end up stuck with a rigid tool – instead, you get the combination of features that actually helps your business grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best Marketing Automation platform out there!"
5/5
What do you like best about Rule?

Rule is a fantastic marketing automation platform that has exceeded my expectations in every way. From its user-friendly interface to its robust features, Rule has become an indispensable tool for my marketing team.

One of the things I love about Rule is its flexibility. Customizing the platform to meet our needs is straightforward, and the automation rules are powerful. With Rule, we've automated many marketing processes, helping us save time, money and improve our team efficiency.

Another standout feature of Rule is its ability to handle unlimited data points and data sources, making it an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes.

Overall, I highly recommend Rule to any business looking to streamline its marketing processes and improve its results. The platform is user-friendly, flexible, and powerful, making it a must-have for any modern marketing team.

And on top of that, they only charge you for your active subscribers and give you unlimited email send-outs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rule?

One thing to note is that the platform may require training to understand its features thoroughly.

However, they have an attentive Customer Support team that helps you along the way, so the platform's many benefits far outweigh this minor drawback.

I highly recommend Rule to any business looking to streamline its marketing processes and improve its results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
