## About Resume Autopsy
Resume Autopsy is an AI-powered candidate screening and ranking tool built for independent recruiters and small recruiting agencies. Unlike black-box ATS scoring systems, Resume Autopsy shows exactly why each candidate ranked where they did — with a per-requirement qualification checklist backed by direct evidence from the actual resume. Recruiters upload a job description and a batch of candidate resumes. Resume Autopsy extracts the requirements from the JD, scores each candidate against every requirement, and returns a ranked list with scores, verdicts, and one-line summaries — in minutes. Every score comes with a full qualification breakdown. For each JD requirement, the tool classifies each candidate as Match, Partial Match, or Miss — with a direct quote from the resume as evidence. No black-box algorithms. No unexplained scores. Every shortlist decision is defensible to your client. Before scoring begins, recruiters can review and edit the AI-extracted requirements — promoting must-haves, demoting optional criteria, and adding anything missing. This calibration step ensures the ranking reflects exactly what the role demands, not just what the AI assumed. Resume Autopsy also analyzes interview transcripts. Upload a transcript alongside the resume and the tool evaluates demonstrated skills with evidence, gaps addressed during the interview, unsupported resume claims, notable responses, and overall communication quality — giving recruiters a complete picture of each candidate before making a shortlist decision. Results are delivered as a ranked candidate table with resume scores, interview scores, combined scores, and match verdicts. Recruiters can track candidate status, add notes, export to CSV, and generate PDF candidate reports for sharing with hiring managers and clients. Resume Autopsy is designed for recruiting agencies and independent recruiters screening real candidate pools — not enterprise HR departments with implementation budgets and 6-month onboarding timelines. There is no per-seat pricing, no enterprise contract, and no ATS migration required. It slots between your existing ATS and your shortlist, handling the screening and ranking step that currently takes hours of manual resume review. A free trial is available with no credit card required. Paid plans start at $29 per month.

  ### 1. Finally, an AI Screener That Actually Explains Its Logic

**What do you like best about Resume Autopsy?**

The interview transcript analysis is incredibly unique. It doesn't just look at the resume; it can analyze how a candidate actually performed in the interview. I love that it flags 'unsupported claims'—it catches when a candidate has a skill on their resume but couldn't actually back it up with a specific example during the conversation.

**What do you dislike about Resume Autopsy?**

It would be great to have more white-labeling options for the PDF reports. The diagnostic reports it generates are fantastic to share with hiring managers, but having the ability to add more custom agency branding or personalized recruiter notes directly into the generated PDF would be a nice touch.

**What problems is Resume Autopsy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most AI screening tools give a 'match score' without explaining why, which makes it hard to trust the results or explain them to a hiring manager.

This tool provides a transparent 'Qualification Checklist' for every candidate. It identifies exactly where someone meets, partially meets, or misses a requirement. This data-driven approach gives me much more confidence when presenting a shortlist to my team.
