Stellar online features in Remo allow organizers to seamlessly raise quality of the virtual event:
This includes ability to upload, display, and or/link key info for guests in banners that are available throughout the event without having to re-share in a chat.
Plus the push announcements feature allows for key updates to reach everyone during an event without interrupting conversation or small groups.
Switching into speaker mode, recording, and screen sharing is easy.
The open "space" and tables that attendees can choose / move to allow for a much more authentic mixing and mingling experience.
We host the same event each year, and it's extremely helpful that we can duplicate the event and integrate small updates as needed.
The data captured by the platform about guest attendance and engagement, whether they registered ahead of time or not, is extremely helpful as we measure the effectiveness of our events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remo can use high bandwidth. However, this hasn't prevented any of our attendees from joining. Plus, during the high-engagement networking experiences we host on Remo, there isn't a need to use bandwidth on any other apps or sites concurrently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remo simulates a real-world conference environment to create engaging online events. The platform allowed us to host a virtual event where attendees could easily network and connect with one another, closely mirroring the interactions they would have during in-person events. While attendees have grown accustomed to using platforms like Zoom or Teams for video calls, there is a learning curve for first-time users engaging with Remo. However, the learning curve is comparable to the challenge of navigating a physical conference space and deciding who to approach first upon arrival. For motivated and enthusiastic attendees, the process of adapting to Remo is straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remo handles events smoothly and the online help guide videos can walk you though setting it up.
The quality of everything seems nice.
Flexible options for ticketing with free or paid events options.
UPDATE: Nov/2024 - I just reached out to support chat to ask a question and received a human reply in less than 1 minute. Very impressed with customer service knowledge level too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be difficult to create custom event spaces yourself.
UI can have some slight learning curve for some users you may wish to address with your own helpful videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Instead of breakout sessions for smaller groups or a spontaneous, personal, direct exchange, which have to be set up and controlled by the host, Remo offers the switch to a separate area with a double click, including its own chat history.
Remo also makes BarCamp formats possible that previously required several tools.
I see a lot of potential and look forward to further development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish for significantly more design options in the room, e.g. an appointment calendar that can be filled and updated from the outside. At the same time, it should be visible in the Remo room, e.g. on a banner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remo Conference has truly revolutionized the way we approach virtual meetings and events. Its innovative features have significantly enhanced the interactive experience, making it a standout choice in the crowded field of video conferencing platforms.
One of the aspects I appreciate most is the array of engagement tools at our disposal. The ability to create polls, sell tickets, set timers, and display banners adds a layer of professionalism and interactivity that's often missing in traditional platforms. The breakout room functionality is also a game-changer, allowing for more intimate discussions within larger events.
When compared to more widely-used platforms like Teams or Zoom, Remo offers a refreshing set of options that genuinely add value to my conferences. It's not just about video calls anymore; it's about creating an immersive, engaging environment for participants.
I'm also impressed by Remo's commitment to community building. Their hosted events provide an excellent opportunity to network and learn from others in the industry. It's a fantastic way to stay connected and grow professionally, even in a virtual setting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Remo Conference offers an impressive suite of features, there are a few areas where I believe improvements could be made:
User Interface: The platform's navigation isn't always intuitive. Some essential features are tucked away in hidden menus, which can be frustrating for new users. For instance, it took me a couple of days to realize I could select existing floor plans after creating an event. This confusion stemmed from the limited options presented when accessing organization settings from the homepage.
Recording Functionality: The recording feature has some limitations that I find puzzling. It doesn't start automatically with the event, requiring you to begin a presentation first. Additionally, it doesn't capture whiteboard content, which seems like a missed opportunity for preserving valuable collaborative work.
Whiteboard Integration: While the Miro whiteboard integration is useful, requiring users to sign in to download content can be cumbersome. A native whiteboard solution or the ability to download content without additional logins would streamline the process significantly.
Meeting Management: Ending a meeting isn't as straightforward as I'd like. The lack of a simple "End Meeting" button means I have to access backend settings and adjust meeting times in 5-minute intervals, which feels unnecessarily complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When our team was searching for a platform to host this year's pinnacle event, Holidrag, our main criteria was to find something that would allow users to interact with one another in a similar way like an in-person event. Remo was the platform that exceeded our needs. Not only could people have intimate conversations, but they could also float between tables just like an in-person event. Being a global company, our team members' relationships only encompass those in their general area. Remo allowed us to break through this, allowing people to sit down and chat with one another as if they are right beside each other in person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing, this platform fit all of our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remo allows students teams to workshop together alongside mentors and subject matter experts from anywhere. Participants get to use tools like built in Miro whiteboard functionality to easily collaborate. The ability for student participants to interact with guests through an interactive online networking session brings a whole other level of opportunity to those involved. The number of options to configure is both good and bad at times depedning on the user. Remo does take some amount of admin training time. Once trained alot of great options for making your event unique. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Remo for many years and have run over 100 events on the platform. It is my go-to platform for any virtual gathering I run because participants have the ability to freely move around and join the conversations that matter most to them. It's so easy to set-up and build a virtual event and any time I've run into issues, the Remo team has been so supportive to help resolve them. They go above and beyond to ensure a great experience for both the participants as well as the event organizers! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occassionally I have run into issues where a certain type of group (like government agency) needs to have special privleges turned on with their firewall so they can join. This can feel like a big barrier to overcome for some groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is certainly one of the greats to organize web events, you do not confuse, it is not a zoom, it is not a Meet, it is a platform to create virtual meetings, and it has the necessary tools to enhance the network work of the attendees.
Of course, there are other platforms for that, but Remo has something very important and they are professionals and it is a consolidated platform, everything works, everything is well thought out, everything is in its place, and the support is really good, I made an error, and resolved it instantly. Thank you so much! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a platform that will not let you down, rather than disadvantages there would be things that would be good to integrate, for example the fact that a webinar with AI can be transcribed into text, or the fact that it has integrations with LMS platforms for example. Remo has provided us with an engaging platform on which to organise networking events - giving our audience an experience that we just can't get from traditional meeting platforms. The feedback has been fantastic, and participants have liked the intimate feeling you get from sharing a "table" with others, whilst still having the full remote conference experience. We no longer use any other conference platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As Remo has developed, I have occasionally come across features that were not working as intended, so I now check all functionality we need to make sure everything works. I have also found the pricing system slightly cumbersome, e.g. in upgrading temporarily to a larger meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
