The most helpful thing about GoCo is that the company can be done with paper and it's easy to send documents to employees who are out of state at job sites. I really like the timely and helpful responses from our support team, Amanda and Kiana. The least helpful thing about GoCo in my opinion would be when I sort names, I'd like them to stay the way I sorted them. At our company we sort by last name, first name. And I can change it, but it always flips back to first, last name. I wish that the total time off was part of the main package and also that we could set the time off requests to send a notification to one person on our team. The GoCo support team responded to my query so fast I was surprised, and honestly even more so by the fact that they immediately understood my query (no follow-up explanations needed) and offered me a real solution in their first response email. I can automate employee onboarding (mostly) and take the headache out of keeping employee information current. Employees don't have to come to me to get a form for simple information changes, like address or payroll tax deductions, or direct deposit info; they can just make the change in the app. GoCo tells me when there's a change. So many of my HR tasks are a breeze now thanks to GoCo. It's like having an administrative assistant. Leave time tracking sends approval notifications directly to managers, open enrollment can be done through GoCo so I don't have to track down paper forms, reporting is easy and customizable. The time tracking app has its issues, but I'm not 100% sure if that's all a GoCo problem, or a Samsung (our tablets for timeclock kiosks) problem, or some combination. We just have to restart the app more than I think I should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GoCo is very intuitive for the user. The implementation team is extremely helpful and responsive. I can manage my benefits onboarding for a new employee in just a matter of minutes. I'm not fond of some of the permissions. I'd really like to think that, at some time, we can be more restrictive in allowing administrative positions permission to view things in the files. We primarily use GoCo for onboarding employees and information reports. It works well on these fronts. It's quick and efficient for our new hires and allows them to be hired from their personal cellphone, computer, or laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are some issues with being unable to update forms. Importing a paper form into GoCo and then trying to update that form externally means effectively rebuilding the form twice.

Building it exclusively in GoCo means you have to rebuild the form in Word if you want editable control. It's lead to issues where forms hang around in older revisions because it's time consumptive to build it twice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a lot of different perks to using GoCo, but the main one that seems to benefit our company the most is having all of the employees' info stored in one area. GoCo has allowed me the opportunity to streamline HR operations for our 1 person HR team, allowing me better opportunity to more efficiently serve my team through one platform. GoCo implementation process was very drawn out and did not help me learn the platform. The implementation team was hard to reach and did not allow me ample opportunity to be a collaborator in the process. Goco has been helpful in getting our small business going when we didn't have an HR department. The GoCo staff have all been helpful and honest in helping our team transition to the online base system. The integration process has been smooth as well and as we grow our business we look forward to the extra features GoCo has to offer. It's a system that gets used everyday. GoCo's tracking hours to jobs is a bit congested, however GoCo has made improvements since we started and as we work with GoCo I'm sure we will get this fine-tuned and more user-friendly. Looking at one report of employee hours tracked by job needs to include the breakdown of regular hours and overtime hours instead of a lump sum of hours worked.
